Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced and creative Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Advisor to fill a vacancy emerging in our global MEL team. This is an exciting time to join the organisation as the successful candidate will play an important role in developing and rolling out a new MEL Strategy to align with Conciliation Resources’ forthcoming Strategic Plan 2026-2030.
The MEL Advisor will be responsible for providing technical advice in applying gender-sensitive and complexity-aware MEL approaches to develop CR’s peace practice, and in supporting organisation-wide Outcome Harvesting. The role would be well-suited to a versatile and creative thinker with a curiosity to adapt standard MEL approaches for the challenges associated with peacebuilding and mediation.
We want MEL to be useful for staff and partners. The MEL Adviser will draw lessons from evidence of achievements and challenges in our work to inform programme adaptation and support organisational strategy. Occasionally they may represent our experience and approach to external audiences.
As the post is a global role, the post-holder will be expected to provide remote and face-to-face technical support to Programme teams, MEL Focal Points and partners in different geographies, and to the RAP team in the development and implementation of their MEL plans.
The MEL Adviser supports the Head of MEL in the delivery of Operational Goal 5 in Conciliation Resources’ Strategic Plan 2020-2025 and will continue to do so under the forthcoming Strategic Plan 2026-2030 and MEL strategy. The post holder will contribute to ensuring the Supporter Donations Team (SDT) manages and administers supporter donation activity on behalf of CAFOD, providing a high level of supporter care while delivering within agreed service levels and Key Performance Indicators. SDT has the overall responsibility for managing and thanking all supporter donations to CAFOD made through a variety of channels and schemes. SDT works within the Finance and infrastructure group, liaises across all teams in CAFOD, and external service providers to ensure donations are processed within agreed service levels and quality standards. Due to the nature of SDT’s role, SDT has particularly close ties to CAFOD Fundraising activities and actively engages in our fundraising programmes and schemes.
Accountability
The post holder reports to the Supporter Donations Manager and will work alongside a team of Supporter Donation Assistants, collectively delivering the team’s key aims and responsibilities.

Supporter Care:

Business Development — Core Focus

This team of global fundraising experts works closely with Save the Children member offices around the world, providing them with strategic support in priority areas and fostering a vibrant fundraising community. The Global Donor Acquisition Lead is a senior and highly influential role within Save the Children International (SCI). At a time when cuts in Foreign Aid have placed unprecedented pressure on unrestricted income, this role is central to ensuring individual giving plays a transformative role in sustaining and growing our impact. · Drive best-in-class acquisition practices across all channels, working in close collaboration with channel specialists (e.g., digital, Face to Face, telemarketing) to ensure strategic alignment, knowledge sharing, and consistent optimisation of performance across the full acquisition funnel.
· Strengthen humanitarian acquisition readiness, working in partnership with the Humanitarian Fundraising Lead ensure compelling emergency content and rapid mobilisation strategies are in place, as well as effective journeys towards committed giving to our organization.
· Ensure DRTV excellence and evolution, by driving best practice, coordinating a global community of practice, facilitating shared production of adverts, and exploring opportunities in connected TV (CTV) working in closely collaboration with our digital specialists and global content unit.

3. Excellent skills across a variety of different acquisition programmes/channels, including DRTV, F2F, telemarketing and digital, including vendor and account management.
