About the Role

Are you someone who is passionate about seeing positive change in our world? Can you bring knowledge and creativity in designing innovative and effective peacebuilding programmes?

We are looking for someone to support our programmes and institutional fundraising with excellent writing skills, who is passionate about addressing the root causes of and inequalities caused by conflict. You will be someone passionate about the work Cord does and who can bring technical institutional funding expertise alongside peacebuilding knowledge to our small and committed team.

In this role you will lead the development of new programmes and institutional funding bids in line with Cord’s peacebuilding approach and 5 main programme areas. You will manage proposal submissions to Cord's key donors such as the EU, US State Department, GIZ, SDC, UN Peacebuilding Fund etc. You will be working closely with country teams to design and write proposals based on strong project designs developed in partnership with our local partners.

The role will also operate at a strategic level by managing Cord’s relationships with key donors and shaping how Cord communicates about its programmes and the added-value that Cord brings.

About the role

We have a new and exciting opportunity to join the Network Development team in the South of England, to support the team in managing a range of projects that will fix and grow the National Cycle Network in the delivery of our Paths for Everyone strategy.

You’ll lead the development of evidence-based policy positions, influence national and local decision-making, and ensure our voice, and the voices of people with lived experience, are heard at the highest levels. This is an exciting time to join Samaritans Scotland, as we are a lead partner in Scotland’s national suicide prevention strategy, working closely with the Scottish Government and other partners to deliver the actions in the strategy and reduce lives lost to suicide in Scotland.

About the role

We are looking for an ambitious Programme Manager with extensive experience of new business development within the non-profit sector, strong knowledge of project management tools, a belief in collaborative working, and a positive and big-picture outlook. They will play a key role in the alignment and delivery of a portfolio of strategic projects relating to our cross-cutting programme of work to strengthen postgraduate education of health workers in our partner countries.

Working in partnership with Ministries of Health, healthcare institutions, leading medical and nursing schools and other stakeholders, the postholder will support the design and management of programmes, develop funding proposals in line with our strategy and the strategic objectives of our partners, and align our work on postgraduate education of health workers across all five countries. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape an innovative and impactful health systems strengthening programme, rooted in strong local partnerships. The postholder will report to the Health Systems Strengthening Lead.

About You

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience: 

Essential criteria

1. Degree in relevant subject (Global Health, International Development or aligned subject) and experience of working in a low- and middle-income country setting
2. Extensive experience in managing multiple projects (including large and complex grants/contracts) throughout the full project cycle
3. Financial management and budgeting experience for complex multi-year, multi-partner projects
4. Experience of developing and reporting on MEL strategies for large and complex programmes, including developing indicators, theories of change, learning processes and undertaking analysis and evaluation of programmes
5. Experience of coordinating and managing the development of successful funding proposals
6. Experience of leading on the coordination of large programmes of work bringing multiple stakeholders, priorities, and workplans into alignment

The Forest of Avon is looking for a capable and proactive Funding and Impact Manager to coordinate and manage our income generation activities. This is an exciting role with real purpose, helping us build a sustainable funding future that supports our mission and delivers long-lasting benefit across the Forest of Avon area.

The Forest of Avon is one of England’s Community Forests and an independent charity. We work mainly across Bristol, Bath and North-East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. We are growing our work and impact through implementing the Forest of Avon Plan, Tree and Woodland Strategy for the West of England, delivering our multi-million-pound tree planting and woodland creation programme ‘Trees for Climate’, as well as delivering many other projects in tree and woodland management, skills, health and wellbeing.

In March 2025, we won the bid for the new national forest - the Western Forest, receiving £7.5m over 5 years to deliver 2,500 hectares. The Western Forest is led by and hosted within the Forest of Avon. This role will coordinate with the Western Forest team on the elements that apply within the Forest of Avon.

The expertise within the Forest of Avon is developed and we have been successful in multiple bids. This role will build on this work being instrumental in coordinating the charity’s varied fundraising efforts, these include grant applications for capital projects and unrestricted income, corporate donations and individual giving. They will play a key role in developing a funding plan that supports the Forest of Avon objectives. They will coordinate priorities across the team, bringing together information to build a pipeline of funding opportunity.

Job Description
Key elements of the role include:
1. To develop and implement a successful funding strategy to grow our non-government funding across multiple income streams, in particular unrestricted income, to achieve impact
2. To build and nurture excellent working relationships with prospective funders
3. To lead on grant applications, working with the team, securing funds
4. To assess existing income streams and to explore new income streams
5. To support the development of communication assets and organise events to highlight funding appeals
6. To keep up to date on the latest developments within the environmental/ community funding landscape
7. To be the connection into any fundraising network of partnerships for example England’s Community Forests, Western Forest, West of England Nature Partnership

What you'll do

Policy & Influencing

• Translate complex ideas into clear, persuasive communications that support positive change.
• Collaborate with our Youth Voice Manager to ensure our policy positions reflect the real experiences of the young people and families we support.
• Help deliver and monitor our policy and influencing strategy in collaboration with the Head of Policy, Voice and Influencing.

Research & Evidence

• Carry out high-quality research and analysis from both internal and external sources.
•  Centre the experiences and insights of disabled children, young people, and their families in policy solutions
• Monitor policy developments across the SEND landscape and lead on timely, evidence-led responses.
• Track progress against our influencing goals and ensure our actions remain targeted and impactful.

Engagement & Relationship Building

• Build strong relationships with decision-makers across government and the public sector.
• Support the Head of Policy, Voice and Influencing to plan and deliver our strategic external engagement plan in order to focus and drive our wider influencing work
• Represent Kids at meetings and events, including engaging MPs, civil servants, and other key influencers.
• Work closely with internal teams and front-line colleagues to ensure our influencing work is grounded in practice and informed by those delivering services.

Collaboration & Strategic Partnerships

• Work alongside the Head of Policy, Voice and Influencing and Youth Voice Manager to deliver our external engagement strategy including deputising at meetings when required.
• Support collaboration across teams to bring in parent, carer, and young person voices.
• Contribute to external coalitions and alliances – attending meetings, aligning with others’ work, and championing Kids' policy priorities.

• Proven experience in a policy role and demonstrable experience of using policy and evidence to influence outcomes– ideally within the disability sector.
• Strong understanding of the SEND system and related policies and legislation (through lived or professional experience).

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Development Manager within our young people's services domain. Due to our growth across our young people's services domain, we are looking for the right candidate to lead and project manage the mobilisation of newly commissioned services within our young people's services domain and/or provide management support to existing services, where capacity is required. We are currently looking for an effective project manager, with significant experience of leading young people's services to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

A key part of this role will be your ability to:

-Manage a project team in order to achieve key deliverables set out in the mobilisation plan, to budget and to timescales.

-Make decisions regarding key components of the mobilisation schedule.

-Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies, working at pace.
