In this new role the Impact and Evaluation Manager will be critical to helping Bite Back demonstrate and strengthen the difference we make for young people, funders, partners, and wider society. You will lead the organisation’s approach to measuring, evaluating and learning from our work – ensuring that youth voice is at the heart of how we design, assess and communicate our impact.

You will manage Bite Back’s relationships with external evaluators, develop and track organisational KPIs, and work closely with programme and fundraising colleagues, trustees and funders to ensure we can evidence our outcomes clearly and compellingly. This role will also develop creative ways to tell the story of our impact – from robust evaluation reports through to case studies that bring young people’s voices to life.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Impact and Evaluation Manager is accountable for:

Strategy and Theory of Change

• Working closely with the CEO to lead Bite Back’s organisational impact strategy, including refining and maintaining our theory of change.

• Translating our theory of change into clear outcomes, indicators and learning questions that guide programme design, campaigns and organisational priorities.

• Designing and overseeing Bite Back’s impact measurement framework.

Data Systems and Standards

• Leading on the collection, analysis and reporting of both quantitative and qualitative data, ensuring that youth voice and lived experience shape Bite Back’s evaluation approaches.

• Supporting the development and monitoring of KPIs across the organisation, providing clear insights and recommendations to the Leadership Team.

Donor monitoring and evaluation

• Working with fundraising and programme teams to design robust monitoring, evaluation and learning plans for funding bids, including developing outcomes frameworks, indicators, and evaluation budgets that align with Bite Back’s broader organisational impact framework.

• Working closely with the Senior Grants and Fundraising Manager to ensure Bite Back meets its impact and reporting commitments to funders.

• Leading on the development of Bite Back’s annual impact report and supporting the production of  other compelling case studies, impact reports and evaluation outputs to communicate Bite Back’s effectiveness to funders, trustees, partners, the media and wider audiences

Building a Learning Culture

• Managing relationships with external evaluators, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget and to a high standard.

• Building evaluation capacity across the team, providing tools, training and support to colleagues to embed a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

• Embedding equity, diversity and inclusion principles in Bite Back’s impact and evaluation work, ensuring methods are inclusive, accessible and reflective of the communities we work with.

• Acting as a champion for a learning culture, communicating clearly and accessibly about impact, data and evidence, and supporting colleagues through changes to systems and ways of working.

• Staying up to date with best practice in youth-led evaluation, impact measurement and social change movements, and bringing innovative approaches into Bite Back’s work.

You will coordinate the Social Homes for Manchester campaign coalition and implement our strategy for strengthening the housing justice movement in Manchester and across GM. You will lead on organising community workshops and events raising awareness about campaign asks and the Manchester Local Plan consultation process.

You will convene workshops and events focused on building the capacity of a network of ward-based community coalitions to understand housing and planning policy and process. This might include how local development applications are compiled, submitted, decided on; and strategies for ensuring appropriate levels of Section 106 contributions and social rent homes are included in development applications.

You will work with the Social Homes for Manchester Steering Group and community leaders to provide coordination support to at least one neighbourhood planning process and efforts to encourage community-led housing innovations.

You will create a new set of webpages focused on provision of transparent and accessible information on housing need, upcoming developments, and performance against housing targets at ward and city scale.

• You have a basic understanding of housing development and planning application and approval processes and a good understanding of the rationale for increased delivery of sustainable social rent homes.
• You have some experience of web development or website administration and editing combined with the ability to engage digitally excluded groups of people in understanding technical information.

About Social Homes for Manchester (SH4M)

• SH4M is a coalition of community associations, charities, think tanks, academics and social justice organisations focused on accelerating the number of social homes that are created in Manchester by 2030 and ensuring this is done in an environmentally sustainable way.
• Much of our work over the last two years has focused on generating an evidence base, influencing strategy, and set of relationships to facilitate influence, including through convening the Manchester Social Housing Commission which concludes in December 2025.
• SH4M is now focused on implementing a two-year strategy including building a network of citizen coalitions across the city of Manchester with the information and capacity to hold decision-makers and providers to account for accelerated delivery of sustainable social rent homes. This includes taking forward the findings of the Manchester Social Housing Commission.

About the role

The Accountable Finance Lead manages ClientEarth’s Accountable Finance team, which sits within the European Financial & Economic Systems group. The Lead is responsible for nurturing the deep legal expertise needed to drive systemic change in line with ClientEarth’s strategic priorities. The post-holder is also responsible for identifying priorities relating to their respective areas of legal practice to better protect people and nature. The Lead manages a small group of lawyers and ensures that they have the right support to ensure the effective delivery of ClientEarth’s priorities for litigation, advocacy and capacity-building. 

The Lead plays an important role in role-modelling ClientEarth’s values and inspiring colleagues around a unified global strategy. 

Meet your Manager

Megan Clay recently took up the position of Head of European Financial and Economic Systems and works with lawyers across the team to implement ambitious legal strategies focussed on systemic impact. Megan was previously a lawyer in our climate team and, until recently, our Lead of Accountable Finance. Before joining ClientEarth, Megan worked as a litigation and disputes lawyer at international law firm Hogan Lovells. Megan lives with her family near Chichester and enjoys running and watersports in her spare time.

Main Duties

• People Leadership - Leads people management activities (professional and career development, sustainable working practices, regular performance review) for ClientEarth lawyers and practitioners within their sub-group 
• Community of Practice Leadership - Drives people and capability development activities through fostering effective knowledge management, upskilling and the creation and adoption of effective legal strategies, tools and templates relating to their team 
• Programme Leadership  - Contributes to the day to day work of the team as a legal expert and people leader; Represents ClientEarth and the Accountable Finance team in relevant coalitions, meetings and events, including speaking at events where appropriate.

Responsibilities include:

• Strategic Direction: Lead PBI UK, representing it to external stakeholders, including funders, policymakers, collaborators and the legal community. Oversee day-to-day operations to align with the strategic and operational evolution of the broader PBI. What you’ll be doing …

Our Head of Events (HoE) will bring leadership and strategic vision to the Society’s Events team encompassing scientific conferences, venue hire, and training courses, working to deliver the business plan and achieve targets for this active, income-generating department.

This role will be responsible for supporting the six-strong team in delivery of our busy events programme, working effectively with conference convenors, and providing exemplary support to our delegates, venue users, sponsors, and clients throughout the year. Working closely with the Director of Science & Engagement, our new HoE will work to develop robust and diverse income streams for the Society from our events as well as sponsorship and will oversee the expansion of our venue hire provision into new markets (e.g. weddings) in addition to seizing other opportunities for growth.

Overall responsibilities / requirements …

Management & Leadership:

• Shape and lead the Events team to deliver top-quality leadership and coordination of our events programmes and customer service for both internal users and external clients
• Continue to support a commercial approach to income generation across the Events department, to support revenue growth and diversification across sectors
• Grow event sponsorship, proactively identifying sponsorship opportunities and supporting the team, convenors, and others to become more confident in developing sponsor relationships and securing sponsorship income.
• Grow and nurture relationships with Fellows and external partners
• Grow and nurture relationships with internal staff across other departments, particularly those jointly responsible for delivering upon the Society’s strategic aims
• Provide leadership and mentorship to the Events team, supporting ongoing professional development
• Act as the senior Events representative at internal committee meetings, providing expert input on event strategy, performance, and future plans.
• Manage external relationships with Events partners, including catering suppliers, AV technicians, and Security where appropriate

Conference Delivery:

• Oversee the management and delivery of Society conferences, events, and lectures alongside our Energy Group Lead and Senior Events Coordinator, including offsite delivery where appropriate
• Oversee the planning and delivery of flagship conferences for audiences of approximately 500+ delegates, ensuring high-quality audience experience and strong financial performance.
• Oversee the development and implementation of a strategy for the branding and marketing of events from web, print and social media alongside our Events Marketing Executive
• Embed a commercial approach to conference development and delivery
• Lead the development of partnerships across the Events team, including the management and delivery of joint, flagship events such as the Energy Geoscience Conference (EGC) series in partnership with GESGB
• Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, staff, and Council, to grow the offering of Society events, in London and beyond
• Worth the wider staff team to ensure that our Conference provision is aligned to the Society’s science strategy & supports ongoing professional development for our fellows and members

Training Courses Delivery:

• Provide strategic oversight of the Society’s developing Training Course programme alongside our Training Courses Lead and Training Courses Committee to ensure commercial sustainability, quality, and growth
• Support the promotion and upscaling of our Training Courses programme alongside our Events Marketing Executive
• Work with the wider staff team to ensure that our Training Course provision is aligned to the Society’s science strategy & supports ongoing professional development for our fellows and members

Venue Hire Oversight:

• Provide strategic leadership, working with the Venue Hire Lead to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to grow and diversify venue hire revenue, aligned with the organisation’s wider commercial objectives.
• Lead on the design, launch, and ongoing development of our new Weddings venue hire initiative in partnership with our Venue Hire Lead following the granting of our wedding license from Westminster City Council, ensuring strong market positioning and a high-quality client experience
• Work with the wider events team to improve booking and on-the-day service for internal and external venue-hire clients
• Oversee and continuously improve the end-to-end booking journey and on-the-day service for internal and external venue-hire clients, working closely with the wider events team to deliver a consistently high standard of service.
• Lead on the procurement and management of key suppliers (including catering and other event services), running competitive tenders and negotiating contracts that best support the quality, profitability and sustainability of our events programme.

About the role

The Restart Project is a year into our five year strategy. We have a bold vision, clear finance and communications strategies and an outline fundraising strategy, developed with support from our trustees. Our vision and track-record has helped us to secure a number of multi-year grants, and now is the time to build on this work. 

We’re looking for a driven, organised and creative Fundraising and Partnerships Lead to help us diversify our income, expand our funding relationships, and build on our financial sustainability.  With a focus on generating income from corporate partnerships and Trust and Foundation fundraising, you will also support our efforts to generate income from a diverse range of areas. 

You will build out our pipeline of funding leads, including building and managing new and existing relationships.  Much of this will include securing funding from traditional sources and supporting efforts to boost unrestricted income. 

You will also have the opportunity to be innovative in pursuing funding for the organisation. This will involve working with the Co-Directors and other team members to develop and secure funding for exciting new projects. Responsible for expanding income within an underfunded sector, creativity and drive will be essential characteristics.

Job Description

Fundraising strategy 

• Build on our existing finance strategy and outline funding plan to create a robust fundraising strategy for the next 2-3 years.

• Work with the broader team to achieve the goals and targets set out in the finance strategy to support Restart’s overall operational strategy.

• Develop and manage a 12 month rolling fundraising pipeline, including regular horizon scanning. 

• Work with team members to ensure Restart’s impact is well communicated to potential donors.

• Work with our fundraising committee, a sub group of our trustee board, to help shape our future fundraising strategy.

Corporate partnerships

• Secure income from corporates by boosting Restart’s visibility and increasing the frequency of high value donations.

• Create corporate sponsorship packages to secure income for existing Restart activities or projects, as well as general organisational sponsorship, and pitch them to a pipeline of corporates. 

• Work with the Co-Directors and other staff to develop funded corporate or other partnerships around innovative projects that will support Restart’s strategy.

• Research, pitch and secure opportunities for Charity of the Year affiliations.

• Ensure that partnerships are managed well, with good reporting and value for partners to ensure retention. 

Trusts and Foundations 

• Be responsible for submitting bids, tracking and reporting on outcomes with the support of our Operations and Finance Lead.

• Help broaden our pool of funders, including building and maintaining relationships made through allies, and networking with funds that don’t accept unsolicited proposals.

New sources of income

• Support the team to develop income from other sources. This will include matched crowdfunding, paid events and consultancy. 

• Explore other ways of securing income and funding relationships.

Strategy & Planning 

• Support with the creation and delivery of a monthly, insight-led digital engagement and content plan , ensuring it adheres to the strategy, and aligns with MNMUK’s advocacy and campaign objectives and influencing global decision-making. 

• Manage and optimise channels and content from an agreed strategy, ensuring our messages reach and resonate with priority audiences in key geographies. 

• Support on all aspects of digital and content for multiplatform global campaigns and engagement moments (e.g. World Malaria Day, UNGA, G7, Davos). 

• Maximise reach and influence of Malaria No More UK’s  ambassadors and patrons to amplify messages and help the Malaria No More UK and Zero Malaria channels grow. 

• With the Head of Ambassador Relations and Creative Partnerships, devise a clear strategy for building a new pool of creator influencers engaged in policy and advocacy influencing. 

Content Creation & Publishing 

• With support from senior communications’ colleagues, you will ideate, and produce creative multi-channel content, sometimes supporting the management of agencies, freelancers, and partners to ensure delivery of world-class multiplatform campaigns.

• Provide digital, content, and social expertise across MNMUK and its partners, ensuring creatives, scientists, and advocates are amplified through coordinated digital strategies.

• Along with the Senior Digital and Content Manager, function as a digital, content, and social media advisor to the MNMUK team. 

• Maintain consistent use of agreed narratives and campaign messaging within brand guidelines. 

Engagement & Amplification 

• Support digital engagement with influencers, ambassadors, and decision-makers, using paid and organic tactics to drive advocacy impact. 

• Amplify voices of trusted messengers from endemic countries, world class scientists, Zero Malaria celebrity ambassadors, and influencers in target markets. 

Insight & Reporting 

• Use data and insight to support MNMUK’s mission. Generate weekly digital and social reports to provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership and partners, using insights to help refine strategy and improve impact. 

• Feed results into campaign planning and organisational learning. 

Website Management  

• Support the upkeep and optimisation of the organisation’s website by updating content, uploading blogs, campaign pages, and resources, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and alignment with brand guidelines. Flag technical issues to external providers or the Senior Digital Manager as needed. 

Qualifications, skills, and experience  

Essential 

• Proven experience in managing social channels including publishing content and engaging with audiences. 

• Proven experience in creating original content for web and social channels. 

• Proven experience delivering digital engagement strategies for campaigns that influence decision-makers, ideally in advocacy, politics, or global health. 

• Knowledge of paid social strategy, SEO/SEM, audience segmentation, and analytics. 

• Knowledge of CMS tools, influencer tools, and analytics tools. 

• Proven ability to grow organic engagement across all channels. 

• Confidence advising senior leaders on digital strategy, with the ability to influence cross-organisational decision-making. 

• Strong understanding of accessibility, safeguarding, and ethical practice in digital spaces. 

• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) for digital content. 

• Familiarity with emerging AI and digital optimisation tools. 

• Ability to work proactively and independently in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. 

Desirable 

• Experience in the NGO, advocacy, or global health sectors, or in a similar role for a corporate organisation.

Jerry Green Dog Rescue is looking for an inspiring, self-motivated and target-driven Fundraising and Volunteer Manager who can hit the ground running. You will oversee Community Fundraising and Volunteering at Jerry Green Dog Rescue, and will be instrumental in setting the future strategy for Community Fundraising from individuals, groups and corporates, as well as leading on the Volunteering strategy for across the charity.
