The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Fundraising Assistant (6-month contract) to support our Public & High Value Fundraising team.

This exciting role involves working in a busy and fast paced fundraising team, with a focus on Supporter Services, but also supporting the Individual Giving and Events team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring supporters receive exceptional service, processing donations accurately and maintaining data integrity. You will also help the Individual Giving and Events team with creating email journeys for supporters.

• Support across the Public & High Value Fundraising team by providing excellent supporter care to a range of supporters.

Membership Support

• Act as the first point of contact for members, ensuring effective communication and timely responses.

This role focuses on our Making Space project, supporting clients who need help decluttering or reorganising their homes to improve safety, wellbeing and independence.

• coordinate and manage a caseload
• provide information, advice and options

• help clients make informed decisions about their home environment
• collaborate with colleagues and external partners

This is a deeply person-centred role requiring a trauma-informed, sustainable approach to reduce risks, improve wellbeing and support tenancy sustainment.

About the Role
As Finance Manager, you’ll oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strong governance. You’ll manage budgets, forecasts, rent accounting, and reporting to the Board and funders. You’ll also lead a small finance team and collaborate closely with the Director and external accountants to improve systems and drive financial excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day finance: income, expenditure, reconciliations, and supplier payments.

• Support the production of management accounts, cashflow reports, and forecasts.

• Lead budgeting and support managers to monitor spending.

• Manage rent accounting, service charges, and housing benefit claims.

• Ensure compliance with Charity Commission, HMRC, Companies House, and funder requirements.

• Line-manage and support two Finance Administrators.

• Improve financial systems and workflows.

About You

• AAT Level 2 minimum or equivalent.

• At least 5 years’ charity finance management experience.

• Experience with rent accounting, service charges, and housing benefit.

• Strong knowledge of Charity SORP, restricted/unrestricted funds, and financial compliance.

• Skilled in staff management and working with external finance providers.

• High attention to detail, organised, and confident working independently.

• Proficient in financial software and Excel.

• Committed to feminist principles and VAWG-sector work.

About the job

We are looking to recruit a Grants and Foundations Manager to join Caritas Salford’s fundraising team. You will be part of a team that is passionate about tackling poverty and inequality, where your work will have a real and visible impact. Your focus will be on maintaining and growing income from charitable trusts and statutory agencies.

The Grants and Foundations Manager position is ideal for someone with previous experience of income generation and a proven success in securing funding from trusts and grant making bodies. You will work closely with senior and service managers, to research new funding opportunities, building and sustaining strong relationships with new and existing funders. You will prepare grant applications and maintain a comprehensive database of funders, opportunities and grant applications, in addition to managing and evaluating bids to ensure optimal outcomes.

You will be highly organised with excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to produce clear, compelling and persuasive proposals. Additionally, you will have strong relationship building skills, with the ability to engage and grow income from a wide range of supporters.

A high level of computer literacy and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM is essential.

About The Role

Kingston Bereavement Support (KBS) is the only bereavement service in Kingston Upon Thames. We are a registered provider to local GPs and an organisational member of the Childhood Bereavement Network. We are organisational members of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and we work in accordance with their Ethical Framework.

The Service Manager will provide strategic leadership in the development and delivery of a  high-quality service for our clients. This role will drive continuous learning, service improvements, and strong partnership engagement to ensure that KBS provides the best support possible. We are looking for a committed and passionate person who can work as part of a small team to provide a professional, effective, and quality service, ensuring that equal opportunities are available for everyone.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience of managing experienced staff including personal development and objective setting.
• Experience of managing, monitoring and evaluating service or organisation provision.
• Practical experience of operational functions, ideally including IT, finance and marketing.
• A track record of fundraising through grants and other channels.

Action in rural Sussex (AirS) supports rural communities across Sussex to be vibrant and diverse places in which to live and work. Community spaces play an important role in these local communities. They build community cohesion and resilience, support the health and wellbeing of residents, help overcome social isolation. contribute to the creation of vibrant local economies, and reduce carbon emissions by providing services and activities locally, and reducing their own carbon footprint.

Most community buildings are charitable, run mainly by volunteers who need a wide range of skills and knowledge to run a successful and sustainable community space. Our Community Buildings Service supports volunteers and hall managers by providing networking opportunities, training, newsletters, an online forum, and bespoke individual advice and support.

This is an exciting time for the service as we look to expand its reach and further develop our offer. The Project Support and Communications Officer will work closely with our Senior Community Buildings Adviser to support the delivery and development of the service across Sussex. You will be the first point of contact for enquirers, helping subscribers to the service to access our platforms. You will help to plan our training and events programme and provide administrative and logistical support. You will also manage communications and marketing for the service, including monthly newsletters, website updates, email communications and social media, and take the lead on updating and developing our CRM.
