- Experience of planning, implementing and evaluating Individual Giving campaigns/projects, including both fundraising appeals and strategic or process change projects.

The AI Opportunity Fund:
The AI Opportunity Fund, led by the Centre for Public Impact with support from Google . org, is currently a €16 million initiative aimed at empowering underserved workers across Europe with essential AI skills. The programme has selected 73 organisations from hundreds of applications to provide tailored AI training to at least 20,000 workers across 24 European countries. These organisations focus on diverse communities, including rural job seekers, underemployed women, and public sector workers, aiming to bridge the digital divide and promote economic resilience. The initiative underscores AI's potential to drive social mobility and equitable growth across the continent. We are also hoping to scale our work in this area in the future.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Grants Programme Manager to ensure the successful delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the operational leadership of the programme, ensuring that it is planned and executed effectively on time, on budget and within scope. A key focus of the role is ensuring that the grant-giving component of the programme is designed and stewarded diligently.
This is a middle management role that is primarily operational with some elements of strategic leadership. Role Description
BASIC is seeking a motivated and dynamic leader to serve as the Head of the Nuclear for Good movement. This individual will be expected to lead the Nuclear for Good Steering Group to grow the movement’s membership, co-develop movement strategy, develop its funding, and supercharge its impact.
This high-impact role offers the opportunity to manage a positive and dynamic initiative seeking to advance multiple interlinked goals, including: sustainable development; food and water security, sustainable energy futures, and nuclear non-proliferation. The successful candidate will bring a strong record of policy engagement, project delivery, and leadership in international development, international security, or nuclear governance.
The successful candidate will oversee the project’s delivery across multiple outputs, working closely with internal and external partners, including international consultancies, technical experts, and UK government stakeholders.
The Head of Nuclear for Good is expected to be an enthusiastic professional with outstanding communication skills in the field of nuclear policy. Responsible for overseeing a set of specific tasks, they must demonstrate a clear understanding of and alignment with the movement's overall objectives, strategies and goals. The position will report to the Programme Manager of the Non-proliferation and Disarmament Programme.
Taking charge of the Nuclear for Good movement, the appointed individual will navigate the entire project cycle, from generating fundraising ideas to developing them further and building knowledge of funding relationships.
The Head of Nuclear for Good must be a strong communicator, with the ability to translate relevant scientific and technical ideas to a general audience. This skillset must be coupled with a proven ability to build community, conduct high-level networking and outreach activities. The ideal candidate is an established public figure with a specialisation in nuclear science and technology issues as well as, ideally, some knowledge of the peaceful uses pillar of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
1. Project Delivery
The Head of the Nuclear for Good movement will need to deliver a set of key deliverables during the contract, to advance the project’s international reach and influence.
To advise the existing Steering Group, the successful candidate will need to start by appointing an Advisory Group to the project, comprising experts with diverse nuclear-related specialities to support the movement. The Advisory Group will meet quarterly.
The main thrust of the role is geared around an ambitious outreach and community-building strategy. The successful candidate will recruit new member organisations, individuals, and influencers to the movement – exchanging ideas and further developing Nuclear for Good’s strategy and goals as the movement evolves. As a multi-stakeholder movement, the pool of potential members could include policy experts, academics, private sector technologists, nuclear regulators, and international development professionals.
The successful candidate will attend a range of key conferences related to the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, non-proliferation, and sustainable development. These include the UN General Assembly First Committee, the IAEA General Conference, and the UN Climate Conference. Participation in these events will help raise awareness of the project among relevant stakeholders. This will include organising a side event at the IAEA General Conference. This activity will not only promote the movement to new audiences, but also demonstrate our support for the IAEA and its flagship initiatives, while inviting attendees to apply to join the Nuclear for Good network.

Please note that at Waterwise we work a Four Day Week, under voluntary agreements which all staff members sign. This means that you will be contracted and paid as full-time but you will sign a voluntary agreement stating that you commit to employing efficiency tools both individual and team-wide to deliver and be paid for 5 days work within four normal 9 to 5 days - the office is closed on Fridays. Training will be provided and you will be expected to continue to refresh your training and to keep up use of the efficiency tools. Annual leave is also pro rata’d. Partnerships and Income Manager Role Description
The Partnerships and Income Manager role involves engaging a range of stakeholders to help generate greater impact and income for Waterwise. The Partnerships and Income Manager will be responsible for researching and identifying potential new business opportunities; conducting outreach to new and existing stakeholders to encourage collaboration; building and maintaining relationships with Waterwise partners, sponsors and members; and assisting with developing winning proposals for funding, in order to deepen the impact we make with individuals, communities and businesses across the UK. About the Role
The focus of this permanent role is to manage the development and growth of the Strategic Programmes, in line with the organisations new strategy and core mission to end youth homelessness. Role Summary
The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) is looking for a Business and Skills Manager based in the North of England to support our mission to help every young person find their best next step. You will play a crucial role in ensuring employer voice, experiences, and skills priorities are at the heart of careers education and the work of the CEC.
Collaborating with the Business and Skills Senior Manager and two fellow Managers, you will ensure our approach to work experience, sectors and skills, including technical and vocational education, are aligned. As part of the wider Network Team, you will support a select number of Careers Hubs across the North of England (final geography to be confirmed upon appointment), driving high-quality employer engagement in careers education outreach.

At the RSPB our mission is a big one and we have an ambitious strategy to tackle the nature and climate crisis. We cannot deliver the impact we need with our internal resources alone and require smart, effective use of trusted suppliers to deliver our communications, marketing, fundraising and campaigning activities. As the Agency Framework Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing our first procurement framework for agencies, consultants and freelancers, with a remit to maximise value for money, minimise internal transaction costs and deliver maximum impact for the RSPB.
Reporting into the Head of Planning & Delivery, you will also have a dotted line into one of our Senior Programme Managers. You will collaborate with Procurement colleagues, as well as key stakeholders across our HQ and Country teams, to initially focus on the setting up and establishment of the Agency Framework.
You will then transition into the management and implementation of the Framework, acting as support and consultant to the organisation to ensure our ways of working with external partners are appropriate and robust.
This is an important role which needs to embed itself across the organisation and be recognised as the main contact for all marketing and communications agency use. We’re looking for someone who is skilled at navigating internal cultures, comfortable making decisions and having sometimes difficult conversations with both internal and external parties, and able to communicate effectively at all levels.
Key activities will include:
- Design, implement and manage an agency framework for all comms, marketing, fundraising, and campaigning agency spend in line with central procurement processes and policies.
- Work collaboratively with the Procurement team on the tendering process for the creation of the agency framework, working with subject matter experts to ensure we have the right suppliers to meet the needs of the organisation.
- Develop user friendly templates and documentation to make the process of engaging an agency as clear and simple as possible.
- Provide support and guidance for internal teams with the creation of effective briefs, making sure the information we’re providing to agencies is appropriate.
- Provide support and guidance for internal teams during the ‘call off’ process for individual pieces of work, helping to navigate conversations and identify solutions/next steps.
- Provide ongoing supplier management, conducting regular reviews with suppliers and internal teams. Putting in place relevant recommendations to ensure all parties are getting maximum benefit.
- Act as the main point of escalation for agencies and internal key stakeholders, working quickly to resolve any issues and find solutions.
- Have oversight of agency spend across the organisation. Ensure agreed spend has gone through the appropriate prioritisation frameworks, that budgets are appropriate and that we are getting best value for money.
- Provide reports and analysis to senior leaders on the efficacy of our external agency relationships and contribution towards strategy.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Demonstrable understanding and experience of supplier management and procurement best practice.
- Demonstrable experience of working with third parties to deliver impactful and cost-effective communications, marketing and campaigning activity.
- Understanding of content, design and creative delivery processes and skill sets.
- Understanding of multiple disciplines within a large charity or complex organisation, for example Brand, Fundraising, Campaigning etc
- Excellent interpersonal skills - building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to negotiate and influence to secure positive outcomes for the RSPB. Confident in being able to challenge where necessary and ensure we are getting best value for money.
- Strong written and verbal communication to be able to communicate requirements, expectations and changes in an efficient and effective manner.
- Cost and budget management.
