Summary
We are looking for a highly organised and experienced HR Manager to lead and manage all aspects of human resources within Harris Garrard Academy. This pivotal role encompasses recruitment, payroll administration, staff welfare, compliance, and governance support.
You will work closely with the Principal and senior leadership team to ensure the effective delivery of HR services aligned with Federation policies and employment legislation.
The role is a 12 month fixed-term contract.

Main Areas of Responsibility
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the recruitment and appointments process
- Ensuring the accuracy of the Academy’s single central record
- Payroll and all associated business
- Auditing staff sickness records and preparing termly reports
- Organising and maintaining confidential staff files
- Additional HR tasks as directed, including include referrals to occupational health, organising interviews with the Principal and liaising with staff representatives
- Working closely with the Business Manager/Principal’s PA to produce salary assessments
- Directing staff to the correct source of information regarding pensions, salaries, maternity, grievance, complaints etc.

You will work with the Assistant Principal Learner Services to define, articulate and
implement our shared vision and values of the college to support learners with additional
needs in achieving their expected outcomes. You will also work with the Dean of the
Apprenticeship programme to ensure adult learners with additional needs are supported by
teaching staff and in their work placements.
You will hold a key role in the college and are expected to demonstrate outstanding skills in
working with the leadership team, parents and carers, external agencies and learners to
implement the strategic vision of the college, working with these individuals and groups to
ensure we provide a high quality of education to our learners with additional needs.
You will be accountable for ensuring that exam access arrangements are organised to meet
the needs of learners, annual reviews are completed for learners with EHCPs, ALS with the
Apprenticeship team and work alongside the pastoral team and teaching staff to implement
and make them aware of training and teaching strategies that support learners with
additional needs, and that reasonable adjustments for these learners are in place. In addition
to help administer the high needs funding claims with the Assistant Principal and Finance
department and MIS.
Key Responsibilities:
● Strategic Leadership
○ Develop and implement a comprehensive ALS strategy aligned with the
college’s vision and values.
○ Oversee the effective allocation and utilisation of resources, including High
Needs and EHCP Funding.
○ Monitor and evaluate the impact of ALS interventions and initiatives, driving
continuous improvement.
○ Foster a culture of inclusivity and support for learners with additional needs.
○ Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to advocate for SEND provision
and secure necessary resources.
● Operational Management
○ Line supervise the work of a team of 4 Learning Support Assistants, providing
guidance, support, and performance feedback.
○ Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ALS team, ensuring efficient and
effective service delivery.
○ Co-ordinate the allocation of caseloads and workload distribution within the
team and creating support plans
○ Develop and implement robust systems and processes for identifying,
assessing, and supporting learners with additional needs.
○ Ensure compliance with relevant SEND legislation, Policies and regulations.
● Collaboration and Partnership
○ Work closely with the Assistant Principal Learner Services, the Dean of the
Apprenticeship programme, and other key stakeholders to ensure a cohesive
and coordinated approach to SEND provision.
○ Build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies, including local
authorities, health professionals, and specialist support services.
○ Engage with parents/carers, providing regular communication and
opportunities for involvement.
● Staff Development
○ Lead and facilitate professional development opportunities for the ALS team,
ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to support learners
effectively.
○ Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
Essential:
○ Proven experience in a leadership or co-ordination role within a SEND or ALS
context.
○ Be educated to Level 3 standard.
○ In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation and best practices.

ROLE DESCRIPTION
As leaders within Get Further, our Programme Managers play an important part in managing the delivery of our tuition programmes and the growth and development of the organisation. The successful applicant will take over the case load of one of our Programme Managers while she is on secondment to another project. The key outcomes for this role are:
- Team: Directly line manage a team of 3-6 Programme Coordinators and Salaried Tutors and be accountable for the management of tutors within your colleges, contributing to Get Further as a whole meeting or exceeding our programme delivery KPIs
- FE partners: Achieve high FE partner satisfaction by delivering a high impact programme and developing strong relationships at multiple levels with our existing and prospective FE partners.
- Strategy and organisational development: Lead strategic projects and priorities as needed to develop the organisation, programmes and programme delivery.
- Project: Work closely with the Head of Resits Tuition Programme to support in the medium-term implementation of the EEF RCT.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be an accomplished professional, with experience of working effectively in the education sector, or at manager / senior officer level in a programme management role. Programme Coordinators
You will be responsible for line managing a team of 3-6 Programme Coordinators to deliver a high impact programme that achieves or exceeds Get Further’s organisational KPIs. To achieve this, we expect you will:
- Hold PCs to high standards of programme delivery
- Build an effective and high performing PC team
- Play an active role in ensuring that the programmes team as a whole is on track to meet or exceed programme delivery KPIs
- Support PCs with their professional development
Tutors
Our tutors are instrumental to us delivering a high-impact programme. You will be accountable for the overall high performance of the tutors delivering tuition within the FE partners for which you are responsible. To achieve this, we expect you will:
- Support and hold PCs to account for the frontline management of tutors and lead tutors
- Resolve or further escalate tutor performance management issues that PCs have escalated as per the Tutor Performance Policy
- Ensure that performance management issues are effectively tracked and made visible to the CPO and work with the CPO and wider Executive team to resolve persistent issues
- Along with Curriculum Managers, lead the design and delivery of tutor training, ongoing tutor development, and the tutor community work
FE Partners
You will be responsible for delivering high impact programmes with Get Further’s FE partners, including ensuring that we achieve programme quality and impact KPIs and developing strong relationships at multiple levels within our FE partner. To achieve this we expect you will:
- Line manage a team of PCs to deliver a high impact programme
- Proactively build high quality working relationships with staff within our FE partners
- Understand college needs and concerns so that we can proactively address them during programme delivery
- Proactively look for ways that we can work more closely with colleges and demonstrating our value to them and commitment to the FE sector
- Lead the preparation of college level impact reports and ensure the ongoing effective capture of impact data, testimonials and case studies to support report creation
Strategic projects and priorities
Get Further is a fast-developing charity, as a member of our small but mighty team we want our programme managers to be true leaders within the organisation, playing an active role in shaping and developing the charity into the future.
- Over the course of the year, we work on various strategic projects and priorities to advance the overall running of Get Further and you may have the opportunity to take a leadership role in these.
- You will have opportunities to engage and provide input, as well as your own project ideas, at an Exec and Board level on Get Further’s longer term strategy and direction.
Sales
- Collaborating with the Head of Resits Tuition Programmes to support and engage in sales activities to ensure Get Further meets growth goals related to college partnerships and student numbers, while securing new partnerships in key regions and areas for expansion. In the medium-term these goals will be closely tied to the requirements of the EEF RCT.
- Support in achieving KPIs with regards to college sales and renewals by email outreach and holding meetings.
- Lead renewal conversations with FE partners and support new relationships as needed

The Minster Centre is a small, friendly organisation and the Reception Manager needs to be an adaptable and flexible person who enjoys teamwork within a continuously evolving environment. Background
The Minster Centre is a registered charity based in Queens Park, London NW6 that trains psychotherapists and counsellors and provides an accessible therapy service. As an accredited higher education organisation, we provide in-person and online courses throughout the week and weekend. The Minster Centre provides a psychotherapy and counselling service to the local community and has a number of rooms that are hired out for therapy, training, and events.
The Reception Manager is a critical and central role at The Minster Centre, providing a welcoming service to students, room hirers, therapy clients and staff members that is efficient and aligned with The Minster Centre’s Ethos. As part of this role, you will provide first-line support to tutors and students as well as undertake administrative duties crucial to the running of the Centre. You will also provide support to other staff members where appropriate.
Job summary
The ideal candidate will have previous administration and front of house experience to help ensure that all building users (students, room hirers and clients) are welcomed, that the building is available and set up for training and therapy services, and that the building is closed and secured at the end of the day. Furthermore, they would be organised, have excellent IT skills and knowledge and, ideally, practice of using Zoom. They will have the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure. In addition, they will be able to work autonomously on various tasks and work well in a team. This is a great opportunity for someone with relevant transferable skills to develop those skills further.
Duties and responsibilities
Oversee and manage the Reception Team
- Ensure Reception is always covered by organising a reception rota that covers absence, holidays, etc.
General management of Reception
- Receive and welcome visitors.
- Co-ordinate access to the building, opening and closing of the building.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Order stationary and other supplies as requested.
- Manage petty cash.
- Keep the reception area tidy.
- Ensure there are adequate supplies of daily refreshments and organise catering for specific events.
Event and training support
- Set up for events and assist with special or evening events when requested.
- Organise and keep track of First Aid and Fire Marshal trainings.
Administration
- Manage the room booking system, including the processing of invoice figures in communication with Finance Assistant/Credit Controller.
- Deal with room booking enquiries and bookings for events.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming telephone calls, and provide basic information when needed.
- Undertake data entry tasks, or similar, in quiet periods.
- Deal with customer queries or complaints politely and positively.
Facilities
- Work with the Facilities and Membership Manager to source and organise suppliers to meet the various facility needs of the building.
- Ensure that the building has adequate cleaning by working with the Facilities and Membership Manager in communication with Total Clean.
- Conduct daily spot checks of the building and report any significant problems to Facilities and Membership Manager.
- Undertake small repairs of damaged equipment or fixings.
IT support
- Field/triage general IT Support emails with the IT Team.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment issues on site.
- Support tutors and office staff with basic Office apps, Moodle, Zoom queries (support and training can be provided).
- Provide IT support for tutors facilitating Zoom teaching sessions including troubleshooting.
- Manage tutor Zoom accounts.
- Schedule Zoom sessions.
Student support and progression
- Ensure that students are enrolled on courses and set up on systems accurately.
- Manage the re-enrolment process between academic years.
- Oversee the recording of student progression.
- Liaise with and support the Operations Team in organising the annual Graduation event and ensuring all eligible students receive timely information.

About the role:
University Access Officers are responsible for delivering The Access Project’s high impact mentoring programme to students across our partner schools. This role works with a caseload of students supporting them from the start of Year 12 up to the end of Year 13 to understand the pathway to a top university.
The role also involves project coordination. You will work with our schools, volunteers and teams across The Access Project to ensure young people are inspired and supported to have the best possible chance of achieving social mobility and enhancing their future prospects.
This role is for a University Access Officer to work in one of our schools in Nottinghamshire delivering our Accelerate programme.
Role responsibilities
Mentoring - Work directly with young people by mentoring a caseload of students in a professional and safe manner:
- Deliver our University Readiness programme through in-depth, targeted 1:1 mentoring sessions with Year 12 and Year 13 students
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications.
- Support Year 12 and 13 students to complete self-paced learning modules on our dedicated platform, The Access Hub, delivering interventions where necessary.
- Use knowledge and information gathered through mentoring students to flag potential issues within volunteer/student interactions so that appropriate quality assurance can be conducted.
- Deliver high quality and informative assemblies to students across KS3 and 4 – introducing them to the power of mentoring, de-mystifying the path to university and building their motivation to succeed.
- Support partner schools with trip logistics, acting in a leadership position when accompanying students on school trips.
- Direct enrolled students to appropriate wider enrichment opportunities, encouraging both extra and super-curricular participation and reflection.
Project coordination and management:
- Support partner school with recruitment of students, leading on the enrolment and induction of selected eligible students to ensure that The Access Project has fully enrolled and engaged cohorts.
- Lead on student facing communications by collaborating with the wider delivery team to case manage students on the programme. This could mean acting as point of consultation for pairing students with coaches/tutors or coming up with solutions when students are not engaging across the whole programme.
- Support the tuition and coaching team in driving student attendance at volunteer sessions (coaching and tuition), including acting as a point of escalation through mentoring and liaising with schools to make decisions/actions to offboard/replace students if deemed necessary.
- Lead quality assurance of coaching pairings completing a caseload of drop ins.
- Send regular summary updates to school as their key point of contact. Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Department/Service:
The finance department is responsible for the overall financial management and administration of the 4million turnover at GSU. The department plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, including HMRC, Charities Commission, Companies House, and pensions. This includes supporting our annual external financial audit.
The finance team act as Business Partners to the rest of the organisation ensuring they understand financial processes to aid effective working. The team also work alongside our external payroll provider and our external digital system provider to ensure smooth and effective working.
Job Purpose:
Provide a professional, accurate, and timely accounting service in respect to all management and statutory reporting. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external support services to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Finance department, ensuring excellence in service delivery.
Reports to:
- Currently reporting to the CEO whilst the senior management role in the Finance Department is under review. The senior management post is currently vacant.
Responsible for:
- Supporting, managing, supervising, and developing one Finance Coordinator and one Finance Assistant.
- Temporary Interns and/or student staff supporting the Finance team as required
Duties and Key Responsibilities
1. Management and Statutory Reporting:
- Prepare accurate management accounts on a timely basis each month.
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts monthly, including accruals and prepayments.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports, including VAT Returns, Companies House, and Charities Commission Annual Returns.
- Support the preparation of the annual accounts for the external financial audit and play an instrumental role during the audit process.
- Reconcile GSU bank accounts including PayPal online accounts weekly and monthly.
- Reconcile Commercial Income to Bank Accounts producing weekly sales and analysis reports.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting, and Cashflow Statements:
- Support in the preparation of the annual budget and reforecasts.
- Create forecast reports and statements as and when required.
- Produce monthly and annual cashflow and liquidity statements.
3. Business Partnering and Collaboration:
- Act as a business partner to all GSU staff members, providing financial insights and support to meet organisational goals.
- Work alongside external support services (e.g., payroll providers and digital finance systems) to ensure smooth operations and excellence in the Finance department.
- Collaborate with external auditors and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective financial management.
4. Managing and Supervisory Duties:
- Supervise and support the professional development of two GSU finance staff members.
- Foster a team culture that promotes accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
- Oversee the responsibilities of Finance Coordinator and Finance Administrator and ensure their tasks align with departmental goals.
- Supervise and support interns and student staff as appropriate.
5. Digital Systems and Processes:
- Maintain efficient digital finance systems and processes to streamline financial operations (Twinfield, Ezora & Basecone for example).
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of digital records and reporting systems.
- Evaluate and improve digital tools and workflows to enhance departmental efficiency.
6. General Finance Department Duties:
- Oversee and assist with sales ledger, purchase ledger, and payroll functions as needed.
- Support the Finance Coordinator and Finance Assistant to issue and maintain records of purchase orders and associated invoices.
- Support the Finance Coordinator and Finance Assistant to maintain and post all petty cash transactions.
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports and information for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Trustee Board, and other stakeholders as required.
- Respond proactively to financial queries from GSU staff.
- Support the ongoing review and development of Finance department systems and procedures.
- Maintain customer-facing systems and ensure smooth operations for Finance department stakeholders.
7. External Audit and Compliance:
- Prepare schedules and reconciliations for the annual audit.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HMRC and Charities Commission guidelines.

1) PROGRAMME DESIGN AND DELIVERY

Make decisions concerning the design and delivery of your programmes, creating a 12-month plan in advance of the start of each recruitment cycle.

Working with the team, you will play a critical role in adding strategic value to the Business School from alumni engagement, and developing how Business School engagement, content and activity can benefit the student and alumni community more widely. You will also be delivering against the strategic needs of the wider University, as we enhance our engagement of alumni and supporters (donors and volunteers). You will therefore have a proven approach to collaborative working and developing successful partnerships across organisations.
Person Specification
You will have significant experience of managing relationships and influencing senior stakeholders, both internally and externally, to deliver value-adding projects and initiatives. You will have experience of developing strategies, and translating these into activity, maximising events, communications and face-to-face relationship building activity to achieve strategic aims. You will be an experienced leader, able to manage and inspire a motivated, high performing, purpose-driven team with a culture of collaboration and a creative approach to opportunities and problem-solving.

The Role
We're seeking a passionate and strategic Programme Manager to join our entrepreneurial team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a creative, fluid environment and is excited about building programmes from the ground up and developing meaningful relationships with a growing network of partner schools as we scale our impact. This is a London-based role, primarily working at the charity’s headquarters in West London.
Role starts from September 2025.
What You'll Own
- Building relationships with existing school partners and identifying and onboarding new school partners
- Designing and leading innovative volunteering programmes
- Monitoring and collating impact from the charity’s programmes and refining the charity’s impact data collection
- Managing programme/ event budgets
Key Responsibilities
Programme Delivery
- Promoting the charity’s work with new school and community partners and onboarding new schools
- Preparing proposals and designing and organising volunteering programmes with partner schools.
- Leading the programme delivery across a range of activities, including trips, clubs, giving back days and one-off events an projects
- Recording event data on the charity’s CRM
- Ensuring the safety and compliance of all TimeGivers’ activities including conducting risk assessments and ensuring adequate staffing levels
Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
- Compiling termly/ end of year school impact reports
- Collating impact from all school partners
- Liaising with external impact consultants as required, refining the charity’s metrics, impact data and collection
Finance and Fundraising
- Preparation and ownership of event/programme budgets
- Issuing donation requests and receipts to the charity’s partners.
- Recording and monitoring expenditure for all programme activities, liaising with the charity’s finance team when required
- Liaising with the Fundraising team and assisting with programme related grant applications

Donnington Doorstep Family Centre is an independent, community-based children’s centre, governed by a board of trustees, delivering a range of universal and specialist services. From our purpose-built centre in East Oxford, running for 40 years, our activities focus on play, learning, support, and youth and community development.
This is an exciting new post with responsibility for the management of Doorstep’s core service provision. We are looking for a manager to oversee both our Early Years and Youth Work service, however, we will also consider someone with expertise in one of these areas.
