Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, the PTN is recruiting a Partnerships Manager who will provide management and oversight of key partnerships essential to the delivery of the Network’s Strategic Plan, with a specific focus on the development and delivery of Regional Hubs.
You will have experience of establishing and delivering partnerships; dedicated to social justice; a commitment to collaborative working; and proven management experience.
Key Tasks
- To form part of the Core Leadership Team, providing overall strategic leadership across the Network
- To manage the Partnership team, setting clear goals and objectives linked to the Strategic Plan
- To lead on the development and support of Regional Hubs, including support with grant funding and income generation
- To act as the primary point of contact with Regional Hubs, for initial enquiries and ongoing relationships, including with staff and trustees
- To provide oversight of the Network’s Parliamentary work in Westminster and across the devolved administrations
- To oversee the Network’s Learning & Evaluation framework, offering insight and advice as appropriate, ensuring that agreed activities are delivered on time and in budget
- To be the primary point of contact for partners working alongside the Network to deliver change in line with its Strategic Plan
- To recruit external partners to participate in the Mutual Mentoring programme
- To liaise closely with members of the Amplify Team in the development of national partnerships
- To develop and support work with creative partners to highlight the resilience of those struggling to overcome poverty
- To deputise for the Director as and when required
- To undertake other activities as needed dependent on jobholder’s knowledge, skills and experience

Key tasks of the role:
- To form part of the Core Leadership Team, providing overall strategic leadership across the Network
- To lead on the financial management of the Poverty Truth Network, including the delivery of Management Accounts and the production of an annual budget
- To manage the Operations Team, setting clear goals and objectives linked to the Strategic Plan
- To lead on and establish the appropriate processes to ensure high levels of staff performance and development, including appraisals and performance management
- To develop, and where necessary implement, administrative systems which ensure effective, efficient and safe practice across the Network
- To ensure that the Network operates in line with its charitable purposes, overseeing changes to its constitution as and when necessary
- To regularly update the Charity’s policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with the relevant regulations / legislation, providing advice to the Director and trustees as appropriate
- To oversee the production and sharing of papers for trustees in an organised and timeous manner
- To oversee the effective running of online and in-person meetings and events for the Network, liaising with other teams as appropriate

You will work closely with the Senior Manager: Learning to ensure that the design and delivery of the Trust's Learning Programme is innovative, creative and responsive to the creative, cultural, practical and wellbeing needs of community interest.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Strategic Leadership and Curriculum Development
- Clear understanding of the national and local policy context of the Adult Education Sector with a focus on: impact on funding or impact on the future curriculum.
- Ensuring the curriculum aligns with educational standards, accreditation requirements, and community demands.
- Leading on the servicing and management of specific regulatory and statutory inspections.
- Develop and articulate a compelling purpose and identity for the Learning Programme to reflect the Trust’s strategic objectives, ensuring that all activities are aligned to this purpose and driving performance.
Programme Management
- Contribute to RBKC self-assessment process, including supporting the Senior Manager: Learning in analysing data and drafting appropriate sections of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
- Offer clear academic and managerial leadership to all teaching staff involved with the programme and to deploy and organise the team in a way that makes the most effective and efficient use of all team members.
- Working with the team to foster a culture of pride and ownership, setting high expectations and supporting operational discipline and best practice.
- Ensure the effective management of the Adult Learning budget.
- Provide timely and impactful information to the Board of Trustees committees and in support of funding bids as required.
- Co-ordinate the assessment and internal verification process where appropriate, including liaison with the external verifier and preparing for the External Verifier visit.
- To carry out internal verification as required and adhere to quality frameworks, such as the Education Inspection Framework, Internal Quality Assurance and External Quality Assurance requirements.
Quality Improvement
- Working to ensure the highest quality of experience is at the heart of what we do and ensure compliance as required for external regulators.
Talent management and team development
- Working to foster a culture of engagement, ownership and co-creation in the team, cultivating high expectations of themselves and others within a peer support environment.
- Identify and develop the skills and capabilities within the team to deliver its objectives.
External Advocacy
- Represent and advocate for the Trust externally to cement and raise profile and internally when collaborating to meet organisational objectives.
- Help raise the profile of the Westway Learning programme with the wider community.
Essential Experience, Skills and Attributes
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience and up-to-date knowledge of policies, initiatives and developments of Adult Education.
- Designing and delivering an innovative and distinctive creative/cultural practice curriculum programme in response to identified market needs and to successfully attract new students.
- Managing a diverse team in an educational setting or learning environment, proactively creating a positive working environment and effectively leading a high performing team that contributes to organisational success.
- Working with awarding and Quality Assurance bodies to ensure compliance with identified standards.
- A track record of working with external audit organisations e.g. Awarding Bodies and Ofsted
- Knowledge of the Education Inspection Framework and funding methodologies and their impact on courses and programmes of learning.
- Knowledge of national, regional and local priorities for adult and community learning services.
- Excellent communication skills and an ability to adapt approach to engage with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Resilience and able to work under pressure.
Desirable:
- Ideally the post holder will also have a background in ESOL and be responsible for all Adult (19+) learning programmes and activities.
- A good understanding of the local area (North Kensington).
Qualifications:
- Teaching qualification or relevant equivalent qualification/experience.
- Educated to degree level or can demonstrate relevant equivalent experience.
- Level 4 TAQA qualification in the Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes or equivalent qualification.

The Opportunity:
This is where this new role comes in: The Head of Fundraising will play a crucial role in supporting the stewardship of the current donors while also securing the vital resources needed to realise our bold ambition and help us transform the lives of millions of young refugees and conflict affected youth across the globe.
You will be part of leading a growing and changing organisation, and will work closely with Amala’s two Co-founders and the Fundraising Manager to develop and implement a multi-year fundraising strategy, cultivate and deepen key donor relationships and boost our income growth from our current £800k towards our £3 million target by 2027, driving the financial sustainability necessary for Amala’s continued growth and impact.

Essential experience:

Proven experience in a senior fundraising management role within the non-profit sector, ideally within international development.

A proven track record of success in fundraising, particularly in developing and executing complex fundraising strategies for a growing non-profit organisation.

A strong history of securing six-figure, multi-year grants and contracts in the UK and internationally, with an annual income generation of £1m+.

This full time, fully remote position offers a salary of £50,000-55,000 if you are a UK resident. If you reside in a different location, the salary will be adjusted accordingly. - Track and Report Issues: Use our case management system to record casework clearly and securely, and help monitor trends in student issues to inform future campaigns.

The Spear Centre Manager will work as part of the River Church staff team to oversee the delivery of Spear—an employability programme equipping and empowering unemployed 16-24 year-olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

Key Responsibilities
Oversight of the Spear Programme
Spear Foundation is a 4-week initial phase, consisting of 2 group sessions plus a 1:1 with each trainee per week, in which we coach young people around skills and mindsets to support them in returning to work or education, and equip them with the skills to stay there.
- Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Assistant Coach.
- Oversee all aspects of the programme coordination and delivery.
- Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report to Resurgo and the church on enrolment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees, as well as their ongoing progress.
Partnership liaison and relationship management
- Build and implement a strategy for developing and maintaining relationships with local referral partners to build the profile of the Spear programme within Ipswich and ensure the young people who would benefit from the programme are able to access it.
- Steward relationships with young people after initial point of contact, to encourage enrolment and ensure a full cohort is enrolled for each programme.
Line management and training
- Manage the Spear Assistant Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
- Work with and be managed by River Church staff locally, and by a Church Partnerships Manager from Resurgo on a national level, to ensure the flourishing of the Spear centre, its team and young people, and to ensure the fulfilment of our shared mission in Ipswich.
- Work with and report to Resurgo teams on KPIs, and use outcomes data to maximise the effectiveness of the programme.
Supporting River Church’s mission and ministry
- Establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement of church members and to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme, though it is not a requirement of the role for the successful candidate to join River Church as their worshipping community if they are already part of another local church
- Work with the Head of Operations and the Fundraising Assistant to prepare grant funding applications for Spear Ipswich, and provide timely grant reporting.
- Keep the River Church congregation updated on the Spear programme to ensure it is a seamless part of the church’s missional work.

Our partnership in Zambia is six years old. King’s Global Health Partnerships (KGHP) initiated a long-term partnership with Arthur Davison Children’s Hospital and Ndola Teaching hospital, in Ndola province, Zambia. Work in Zambia has focused on maternal and newborn health, breast cancer surgery, antimicrobial stewardship and health worker wellbeing.
KGHP is based within the School of Life Course & Population Sciences. The School of Life Course & Population Sciences is one of five Schools that make up the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine at King’s College London. The School unites experts across 5 departments, Women and Children’s health, Nutritional Sciences, Population Health Sciences, Ophthalmology and Twins & Genetic Epidemiology, overall covering the complexities of life course health & disease from individual cells molecular genetics to whole population level.
Our research links the causes of common health problems to life’s landmark stages, treating life, disease and healthcare as a continuum. We are interdisciplinary by nature and hugely successful: 91 per cent of our research submitted to the Subjects Allied to Medicine (Pharmacy, Nutritional Sciences and Women's Health cluster) for REF was rated as world-leading or internationally excellent. About the role
We are looking for a Programme Manager to lead on the management of our current programme activities in Somaliland and Zambia. The role will lead on the management of various grants/ projects within our Somaliland and Zambia partnerships as well as strengthening our partnership approaches in these two countries. The role will be responsible for project closeout, startup of new projects secured as well as developing new funding proposals to support the aims as set out in our partnership and organisational strategies.
About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:
Essential criteria
- BSc or MSc in Global Health or International Relations or aligned subject
- Relevant experience managing multiple projects (including large and complex grants/contracts) throughout the full project cycle, preferably projects delivered by consortiums
- Relevant experience working collaboratively with partner organisations in low resource settings
- Financial management and budgeting experience for complex multi-year, multi-partner projects
- Experience of developing MEL strategies for large and complex programmes, including developing indicators, theories of change, learning processes

What you’ll do
As one of our first Primary Schools Partnership Managers, you’ll play a key role growing our newest partner base and supporting primary school partners to make the most of the Unifrog platform and resources. Excellent customer service is at the heart of what we do, and you’ll make sure that all interactions with Unifrog are positive and successful.
Your key responsibilities:
Sell Unifrog subscriptions to primary schools

Design and deliver impactful prospecting campaigns and marketing collateral aimed at engaging potential new partners, tracking campaign performance and continually improving your approach to secure demonstrations and drive partnership growth.

Meet with potential partners on video calls (and sometimes in-person). Understand their priorities, demonstrate the Unifrog platform and resources, and secure their subscription.

Identify and attend conferences and events to promote Unifrog to primary school audiences, while networking and cultivating relationships for future partnership opportunities.

Develop a sound awareness of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) and the PSHE Association Framework within the UK. You’ll need this to confidently navigate conversations with relevant contacts at primary schools.
Support primary school partners to make the most of Unifrog

Set up new partner schools for success. Help them to embed Unifrog across their staff, student and parent community. You’ll deliver an initial staff training session then provide ad-hoc support.

Where You’ll Be Delivering Our Mission
Most of the time, you’ll be based from our brand new Unloc Leeds office space in the city centre, or delivering programmes in Schools and Colleges in the Leeds City Region.
You’ll also be out and about delivering programmes to our partners in other areas across the North of England. Occasionally, you will travel to London or Portsmouth (our HQ) to spend time with other teams. You will likely have more travel in your first three months as part of your induction programme. Of course, any travel costs outside of commuting to/from the Leeds city centre office will be covered, alongside an allowance for meals and accommodation.

Supporting the implementation of the Unloc Leeds Strategy

Organise, plan and facilitate changemaker projects and programmes

Organise, plan and facilitate bespoke changemaker events (with support from the Operations and Quality teams) for individual businesses, grant giving bodies, schools & colleges. These will span all four of our programme pillars; youth voice, leadership, entrepreneurship, and careers and employability. This generally involves designing agendas, booking speakers, managing event resources, actively leading individual sessions, briefing event support staff, liaising with key points of contact and managing attendance from multiple schools, colleges and partners.

This is a great opportunity to join the unique RCJ Advice - Citizens Advice & Law Centre. We have two court-based offices, at the Royal Courts of Justice on the Strand, and at the Central Family Court on High Holborn, although we mainly now provide advice by telephone and can therefore support people who are accessing any court in England and Wales.
This new role will take overall responsibility for these two court-based offices and the front-line aspect of these services. The role will manage a team of up to 3 employees, and will recruit volunteers, to deliver the work.
