Job Purpose: To find and assist Carers in the Knowsley area by providing advice, information, drop-in sessions, facilitating support groups, home visiting, training and a variety of other methods highlighted by Carers in Knowsley.
Duties and Responsibilities
Information and Support
All staff are expected to be familiar with the range of services and events provided by Knowsley Carers Centre.
The Carers Support Officers specifically: -
1) Provide Carers with advice and support to improve the quality of their lives and the person they care for:
This will include:
a) Completing current procedure for Carers’ Assessments and to support Carers through the Assessment process.
b) Offering Carers the opportunity to take up other services offered by KCC such as coffee mornings and Holistic Therapies.
c) Providing an empathetic and supportive ear to Carers about the difficulties they may be experiencing. Remind carers that we are here to provide a listening ear and offer our counselling service if appropriate.
d) To signpost Carers to relevant voluntary and statutory organisations.
2) Keep up-to-date with services, benefits and organisations relevant to Carers.
3) To assist in the promotion of the work of the organisation by use of media, talks, presentations, displays etc.
4) Make links with relevant statutory and voluntary organisations.
5) Use any of the above opportunities to identify hidden Carers and
Casework
1) Work on behalf of Carers both by phone and in writing to help them to obtain the services they need.
2) Make home-visits as necessary to carry out this aspect of the work and initial support to new carers via home visit with the agreement of line manager.
3) Liaise with other advice/advocacy organisations to develop and maintain referral systems.
4) Complete all the necessary administrational tasks related to the role including updating all contacts on the database.
Groups and Events
1) Setting up, administering and facilitating Carers Support Groups.
2) Organise outings and events for Carers. To liaise with the manager to raise small funds to assist with one to one support or group support.
3) Work with other members of the Knowsley Carers Centre staff team to plan, organise and facilitate special events and activities e.g. During National Carers Week.
Administration and Monitoring
1) Complete contacts on the database for every interaction with each carer. All phone calls, drop ins, home visits letters, emails and texts to have a separate contact.
2) Ensure attendees at group events whether in house or at another venue complete the signing in sheet. Complete the register for these events on the database if requested to do so.
3) Add names to waiting lists for trips and events following the standard procedure. Make appointments for carers to attend holistic therapies following the standard procedure.
4) Write up case studies and other reports as requested by line manager.
5) To be primarily self-servicing including word processing letters, keeping appropriate records of work undertaken, write reports and complete monitoring forms.
6) All of the above are necessary for management to produce statistics and other monitoring reports to comply with funders requests outlined in the main contract and other sources of funding.
General Tasks
1) To work as part of a team contributing to the smooth and effective running of Knowsley Carers Centre.
2) To produce articles for the Carers Centre newsletter and to distribute
to various establishments around Knowsley.
3) To attend and actively participate in regular supervision, team meetings and annual appraisal sessions.
4) To undertake relevant training and staff development activities as required.
5) To undertake occasional evening/weekend work where necessary.
6) To undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by the Centre Manager.
7) All employees are expected to read and abide by the organisations policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities
Welfare Benefits
1)Provide casework covering the full range of welfare benefits.
2)Act for the client where necessary by calculating, negotiating, drafting or writing letters and telephoning.
3)Negotiate with third parties as appropriate.
4)Ensure income maximisation through the take up of appropriate benefits.
5)Assist clients with other related problems where they are an integral part of their case and refer to other advisers or specialist agencies as appropriate.
6)Make home/outreach visits as necessary.
7)Provide advice and assistance to other staff across the whole range of issues.
8)Maintain case records for the purpose of continuity of casework, information retrieval, statistical monitoring and report preparation.
9)Ensure that all work conforms to the organisations systems and procedures.
10)Keep up to date with legislation.
11)Attend relevant internal and external meetings.
12)Use IT for statistical recording and record keeping
13)Maintain close liaison with relevant external organisations
Information and Support

Job Description
The Health Link Worker will:
- Provide information for and about carers and young carers to GP practices and health and social care teams.
- Assist in maintaining carers’ information boards in GP practices and at other health and social care locations.
- Continue to promote good practice guidance and steer relevant personnel at GP practices and other health settings through the guidance framework.
- Provide presentations, training and talks to health and social care staff on carers needs and include all aspects of caring within the awareness raising.
- Raise carer awareness in hospitals and develop carer friendly processes.
- Encourage carer participation on forums, groups and boards.
- Network with relevant organisations to raise awareness of carers issues.
- Assist in the delivery of carer awareness training in partnership with other members of the team.
- Work closely with other organisations such as Healthwatch.

We are looking for a Community Fundraiser with a proven track record of achieving ambitious community fundraising targets. You will be an excellent communicator and an energetic self-starter. You are comfortable with working independently, but ready to utilise the support of colleagues across the Fund. You are perceptive and versatile and will have the ability to translate our story into rich content and compelling scenarios inspiring people to work with us. No one day will be the same and you will be the local face and voice of the Fund on the ground. You will be responsible for raising income through existing networks of supporters, volunteers and building new relationships within the RAF, community groups and local business.

Main Areas of Responsibility
In the first instance, this will be achieved through joint project management and rollout of a new Federation wide SharePoint eco system. This is an exciting time to deliver a new ecosystem that will lay the foundation for future enhancement and uses of technology across all aspects of the Federation (Educational and Corporate).
You will then begin to identify the best uses of digital technology to promote learning, by engaging with latest research and by working across our academies in consultation with teachers and Principals. Through your leadership and networking within the Federation you will ensure the best approaches to improving educational outcomes are strategised, implemented, evaluated and are widely disseminated. Your work will involve the development of a Federation-wide Digital Learning strategy, building coalitions to implement and test this and then to disseminate the work. You will produce a wide range of training resources working with the Federation Consultant Leaders and Digital Learning Leaders in each Academy and you will Chair the Federation Digital Strategy Group, which will inform the priorities of the Federation IT team.
What We are Looking For
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Qualifications to degree level and above
- Profound understanding of the power and potential of Digital Technology to improve educational outcomes
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft suite of learning technologies, including SharePoint, OneDrive, Office365, OneNote and Teams - and of their use in supporting learning in the classroom and at home

What you’ll lead on
As an Assistant Video Editor, your role will be to edit new videos for students aged 11-18. You will also help to keep our existing content up to date and in line with our high standards. Unifrog publishes videos and written content on a variety of topics for students including: applying for university in the UK and overseas, preparing for college or work, and taking care of your wellbeing.

Working together
You’ll be managed by our Post Production Manager, and work closely with an in-house Video Producer/Director and Video Editor. You will also work with our partner-facing teams, as well as with external bodies where necessary.
The Video Team is part of a wider Content Team, where we often brainstorm new ideas as a group, provide feedback on each other’s work, and get feedback from teachers and students at our partner schools. We promote good ideas regardless of where they come from.

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. In addition to essential fluency in written and spoken English, skills in relevant languages, particularly Spanish, are also desirable.
You will have excellent facilitation, training and coaching skills, ideally with experience in developing and applying blended learning materials and methods. The ability to plan, organise and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines will be a key attribute. You will be passionate about supporting others to develop their knowledge and skills while being open to learning and able to quickly pick up new skills.
You will hold a relevant degree or equivalent qualification and/or professional experience on unsustainable or illegal wildlife trade issues in international conservation or related field. You will have technical skills and significant experience in the development, management, implementation and monitoring and evaluation of approaches to understand and tackle unsustainable and illegal wildlife trade in a conservation context. You will understand the need for inclusive, collaborative and evidence-based approaches to preventing illegal and unsustainable wildlife trade including, but not limited to, effective crime prevention, community-level responses to illegal wildlife trade, building enforcement capacity and demand reduction.
