This role will play a key part in supporting MMHA’s successful campaigning, including supporting our maternal mental health councils project, and helping drive change so that women, birthing people, babies and families affected by maternal mental health problems can access the right care, at the right time, without discrimination.

Job purpose

Support planning, implementation, and evaluation of MMHA campaign and policy work to improve perinatal mental health care systems, policy and practice in the UK.

Main responsibilities

• Support policy activities relating to MMHA’s Maternal Mental Health Councils project.
• Assist with the production of campaign resources, including desk research, drafting copy, and proof reading.
• Read and summarise policy information, such as reports and carry out data analysis, to support MMHA’s evidence base.
• Lead political monitoring, keeping abreast of tracking relevant policy and political developments to identify opportunities and risks for MMHA’s campaigns and policy priorities.
• Support MMHA’s campaigning across the devolved nations, working with local stakeholders in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales to inform, amplify and facilitate campaign activities.
• Hold knowledge of parliamentary procedure and systems to ensure strategic and targeted influencing work, supporting relationships with parliamentarians, including providing clear communications.
• Ensure MMHA’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion runs throughout MMHA’s campaigning and policy work.
• Maintain relationships with range of stakeholders to support MMHA’s campaigning and influencing, including MMHA members, parliamentarians, champions and academics.
• Support campaigning communications activities, including media and social media support, website editing and writing copy for articles or newsletters.
• Keep a library of policy resources and an up-to-date bank of statistics and evidence to support internal and external use.
• Assist the Head of Campaigns and Policy and wider team with administrative and other tasks, including the organisation and facilitation of meetings and events and responding to routine enquiries.
• Help support MMHA projects as required. 
• Work with the team on campaign evaluation.
• Maintain a diary of key campaign dates and events.
• Represent the MMHA at events as required.

The responsibilities of the Senior Financial Accountant will include:

• Support the production of the GPA Annual Report and Accounts including provision of consolidation returns for Cabinet Office departmental accounts and Whole of Government Accounts
• Maintain and analyse accurate accounting records including preparation and monitoring of Statement of Financial Position reconciliations and accrual and other journals
• Monitor the effectiveness of key controls including those operated by outsourced service providers
• Prepare tax returns to deadlines including monthly VAT return and Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) returns
• Support the delivery of internal and external audits including provision of fully supporting and signposted evidence, monitoring of requests and responding to auditors in a timely way
• Support continuous process efficiencies and improvements across the function
• Build relationships with key staff across Finance and the business in order to maintain effectiveness and relevance during change

Key Skills & Experience 

• Good experience of financial accounting
• Good knowledge and experience of VAT
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyse and interpret significant amounts of financial data
• Ability to seek out new information and self-develop
• Experience of using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Proficient using Microsoft Excel Ability to work to tight deadlines

Farm Assistant – Community Gardening

Based at Oasis Southampton City Farm, Green Lane, Southampton SO16 9FQ with some work at other community locations

Hours: Part-time (16 hours per week, 0.4FTE)

Contract: 3 Years Fixed Term

Salary: £10,616 per annum (£26,542 for 1 FTE)

Oasis Southampton City Farm is a community focused registered charity working in Southampton. We provide a range of supportive, wellbeing boosting, and nature-based activities for our communities, which include young people and adult learners with disabilities.

We are looking for a Community Gardening Assistant who will support the Farm Lead and community development lead for Southampton in delivering the vision for the farm, the oasis academies, and its wider community by supporting the growth of the farms garden project, as well as community gardens across the city. These tasks will include:

 · Delivering garden based educational and wellbeing boosting activities

· Working alongside our volunteers, young people, and adults with learning disabilities to care for the garden by planting, watering, and sowing.

· To work with Oasis Academies across the city, as well as partner organisations, to support the creation of community garden spaces to boost wellbeing across the city.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

· Relevant qualifications or experience in horticulture

· The flexibility to work across the week,

· Excellent verbal communication skills

· Proven ability to work alongside others in projects that work with the public.

We are looking for an Adult Carer Wellbeing Navigator, employed by Sutton Carers Centre and based within the Wellbeing Team at Sutton Talking Therapies as well as our Centre. In this role, you will provide both practical and emotional support to Carers - helping them to set goals, develop effective coping strategies, and strengthen their confidence by accessing appropriate therapeutic interventions. 

You will bring experience of working with people facing difficulties around their mental health, offering person-centred support designed to improve their overall health and wellbeing. You also will have knowledge of the wider issues that may affect mental health, including the particular challenges and rewards of caring for others.

Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced, dynamic, multi-partner environment are essential. Flexibility is also key - you’ll need to respond to the varying needs of Carers and the organisation, including occasional work outside standard office hours.

You will:

• Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people with disabilities, in and on the edges of the care system. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.
• Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Disability Outreach Project. It is an exciting time to join this project, which has recently expanded to include educational advocacy in addition to social care focused advocacy.
• You will support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and external organisations, building equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for children and young people with disabilities.

Our advocates will have relevant experience with children and young people, and may hold a suitable Advocacy Qualification. For the right candidate, we may also be able to offer this post as a Trainee position, and offer support to gain qualifications. The salary offered will reflect the candidate’s experience and skills.
