Job description

Wandsworth Foodbank is looking for an experienced and engaging Volunteers Manager to organise, support and develop our amazing team of food bank volunteers.

Working in a friendly and supportive team, you’ll take the lead in managing volunteers at the Foodbank’s five church-based centres across Wandsworth Borough, and at our Foodbank warehouse. With your help, we want to equip and inspire our volunteers to provide the best possible support to local people referred to us in severe hardship.

We're looking for someone who is committed to the Christian values, priorities and culture of Junction Community Trust and St Mark’s Church, Battersea Rise.

We're committed to ensuring we respond to the needs of black and minority ethnic communities locally, and we want to ensure our team is as representative as possible. We'd therefore particularly welcome applications from black and minority ethnic candidates, to help us broaden our team.

The working hours are 5 days a week, but we’d be happy to consider 4 days a week for the right candidate.

To find out more about the job, please see the role profile attached. You can also contact us if you’d like to have an informal conversation about this role.
