Location: Home based - within a commutable distance of London as there will be a requirement for fortnightly travel to the Chelsea & Westminster Clinic and with additional occasional travel across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. 

Shine’s Health Team 

Shine’s Health Team provides condition-specific health advice and support to people of all ages with spina bifida, hydrocephalus, NPH or IIH, promoting good self-management and enabling our members to live in optimum health.  The Team also aims to reduce the numbers of pregnancies affected by spina bifida and anencephaly through education around supplementation and fortification with folic acid, and other measures. 

Purpose of Job 

The Shine Nurse Specialist will deliver services and create resources to improve the health of Shine’s members, by informing members, their carers and professionals 

Principal Duties 

• To provide ad hoc advice to Shine’s members, their carers  and professionals on complex health issues, and signpost to NHS services 

• To attend and represent Shine at the Chelsea & Westminster Spina Bifida Clinic

• To collect information, statistics and research from a variety of sources to inform Shine’s health projects 

• To create resources to inform and support members’ health 

• To develop training/information resources for professionals 

• To plan and deliver projects, events, presentations and information sessions for members and professionals 

• To provide an information resource for Shine staff 

• To form and engage with networks of health professionals 

• To represent Shine at events and meetings 

• To work closely with the Health Research & Information Coordinator to produce and disseminate health information to Shine members and the general public 

Skills and Experience 

Essential 

• Professional/Registered Health Qualification, for example:

  • Adult Nursing 

  • Registered General Nurse 

• Experience of searching scientific and medical literature, collating information and writing reports 

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal 

• Ability to work effectively alone and as part of a team 

• Ability to plan and deliver projects 

• Good presentation skills 

Desirable 

• Knowledge of the physical aspects of spina bifida and hydrocephalus

The Legacy Stewardship Manager will plan and deliver an ambitious new legacy stewardship strategy to bring about growth in future legacy income.  It will diversify the current legacy stewardship programme to convert more legacy prospects and maintain more pledgers using a combination of relationship and mass fundraising activities. It will be responsible for planning and delivering high quality communications and experiences which make supporters feel inspired, valued and deepen relationships with them over the long-term.

This role is critical in growing future legacy income for RNID, which currently represents 72% of RNID’s income. It will play a pivotal role in a Legacy Fundraising Team of four people, reporting into the Head of Legacies, working alongside the Legacy Marketing Manager and line managing the Gifts in Wills Specialist Officer.

This role is a new addition to a growing team in an organisation where legacy fundraising has a high profile.  It is an ideal next step for an experienced and confident legacy fundraiser wanting to make their mark by growing the legacy stewardship programme to a new ambitious level that matches an increased investment in legacy acquisition.

You’re an experienced and ambitious legacy fundraiser with the ability to think strategically as well as deliver a full and varied programme of operational activity. You’re ready to apply your previous experience, success and ideas to shape and grow RNID’s legacy stewardship programme to its full potential.  You’re confident, innovative and keen to use data and insight to improve performance. You will be responsible for:

· Working with the Head of Legacies to diversify and plan the legacy stewardship programme, applying test and learn principles to evaluate and improve performance.

· Operational delivery of a varied legacy stewardship programme including supporter care, supporter journeys, in person and online events.

· Overseeing all one-to-one interactions with legacy prospects and supporters, either directly or through senior colleagues such as RNID’s Chief Executive.

· Educating and training colleagues to confidently support legacy fundraising activities.

· Line managing and developing the Gifts in Wills Relationship Officer.

· Working with the Head of Legacies, contributing to annual operational planning, budget setting, phasing, reforecasting and contingency planning.

About the role

At Young Lives vs Cancer, we have our own unique role to play in reaching the North Star. We know our strengths and where we can have the most impact to best support children and young people with cancer. Within our new strategy ‘The Time is Now’ we set out four strategic ambitions, the first stating we will continue to be a major service delivery provider: offering high quality, impactful services. We are proud to lead the way in delivering high-level, psychosocial support and accommodation services throughout cancer treatment, end-of-life, and bereavement and we want to ensure our investment in this area is optimised to make sure we always provide the tailored support that children, young people and families need and that our services remain relevant.

You will be joining an established operational leadership team who are committed to continuous service improvement. Service Managers play a key leadership role in the management and development of a region, which is made up of three social work teams located alongside Principal Treatment Centres which are Leeds, Newcastle and Sheffield. Your responsibilities will include delivering service standards, and compliance. You will interface with NHS stakeholder colleagues to promote effective governance and multi-disciplinary relationships with a focus on smooth referral pathways. The team meets weekly to discuss management of the overall service-this effectively allows all team members to play an active role. Key Responsibilities: 

Fundraising Support: 

• Provide personalised consultations to charities/NFPs we work with to develop and refine their grants and trusts strategies. 

• Assist charities in identifying funding opportunities and preparing compelling grant applications. 

• Organise and conduct workshops and training sessions on fundraising best practices, funder engagement, monitoring and evaluation, and grant writing. 

Relationship Building: 

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of grant funders 

• Facilitate strategic partnerships between member charities, infrastructure groups, and funders. 

• Represent AWN at relevant networking events, conferences, and meetings to promote the interests of our member organisations.

Resource Development: 

• Create and disseminate practical resources, toolkits, and guides to support charities. 

• Develop materials that highlight successful case studies and best practices within the sector. 

Monitoring and Evaluation: 

• Implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and support provided. 

• Collect and analyse data to track progress and make informed recommendations for improvement. 

Communication and Reporting: 

• Prepare regular reports on activities, outcomes, and impacts for internal and external stakeholders. 

• Maintain clear and consistent communication with a network of service users/charities to ensure their needs are met and feedback is integrated.

Qualifications and Experience: 

• At least 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, grant management or not-for-profit management. 

• Proven track record or strong knowledge of successful grant writing and fundraising initiatives. 

• Strong understanding of the funding landscape and the unique challenges faced by charities serving Muslim communities. 

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders. 

• Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective training and capacity-building programs. 

• Proficiency in using digital tools for remote work and virtual collaboration. 

• Commitment to AWN’s mission and values, with a proactive and results-oriented approach. 

• Excellent written skills. 

• Comfortable in public speaking. 

• Proactive in creating and developing this role. Can confidently work independently. 

• Ideally the person should live in or the surrounding areas of London. We currently don't have an office space but we are forming a London team.

The Role

We’re seeking a strategic and inspirational Individual Giving leader to take ownership of a thriving programme and elevate it to new heights. You will drive the strategy for a £12m+ programme, lead a passionate team, and oversee campaigns including lottery, raffles, cash appeals, and supporter acquisition.

With a strong emphasis on supporter retention, journey design, and lifetime value, you’ll shape and deliver a growth-focused strategy that secures sustainable income and deepens supporter engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the Individual Giving Strategy and budget, targeting growth in net income.
• Lead and support a small but high-performing team to deliver inspirational campaigns.
• Manage and evolve acquisition and stewardship campaigns to expand and retain the supporter base.
• Use insight, segmentation, and innovation to drive campaign performance and supporter satisfaction.
• Oversee campaign analytics, reporting, forecasting, and budget management.

We are seeking a home-based Communications Officer to join RSPB Scotland's communications team.

You'll have an interest in or passion for nature and the outstanding communications skills, knowledge and the experience we need to tell inspiring stories of the conservation projects, our network of nature reserves and our colleagues that are striving to help protect and restore nature across Scotland.

What's the role about?

You'll be part of a dynamic team working across Scotland to unearth and tell great stories from colleagues that inspire key audiences about RSPB Scotland’s nature conservation work.

The role is diverse and busy, working on the roll out of RSPB-wide campaigns like Big Garden Birdwatch, managing and creating content for social media platforms, responding to press enquiries and building relationships with colleagues working in different areas of Scotland to bring their work to life in print, blogs, film and more.

The role will occasionally include opportunities to travel across Scotland, including overnight trips and out-of-hours work with Time Off in Lieu provided. Applicants need to be based in Scotland.

The role will demand:

• Building relationships with teams across Scotland, developing understanding of their work, stories and communications needs.
• Working with the wider communications and marketing team to support effective communications planning and delivery in line with country and organisational priorities.
• Day-to-day management of social media channels and communications enquiries with support from the wider team.
• Maintaining relationships with press and media to maximise coverage of communications priorities.
• Producing a monthly e-newsletter for supporters.

Required skills, knowledge and experience:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to join our Campaigns and Regional Engagement team. You will assist in raising the profile of physiotherapy throughout London, the South-East Coast, the East Midlands and the East of England, and support our work to influence key stakeholders.

Through the development of effective communications, you will engage and inspire Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) members to promote the value of physiotherapy in their communities, whilst also building opportunities to increase the profession’s influence with local decision makers. The role also involves substantial input into CSP campaigns and events.

First class communication skills, confidence and self-motivation are essential attributes for this role, along with the ability to work effectively across team boundaries. Educated to degree level, or equivalent, you will also need expertise in at least one, and preferably several, of the following: stakeholder engagement, media and PR, online communications, video production, public affairs, writing for publications and event management.

*You must be able to travel within the regions specified and be willing to undertake some work in the evenings and on weekends. Homeworking is subject to meeting assessment requirements, which includes a minimum broadband speed of 18Mbps and a dedicated space to work from.
