About Shout Out UK (SOUK):
Shout Out UK (SOUK) is a UK-based award-winning political and media literacy organisation with nearly a decade of experience in delivering impactful educational campaigns. Our mission is to defend and amplify democracy by equipping individuals with the critical thinking skills needed to navigate the complex information landscape and engage as informed, active citizens. We have a strong track record of working with educators and young people across various contexts, and we are the secretariat for the UK’s All-Party Parliamentary Group for Political and Media Literacy.
The Position:
You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to lead our resource development. Reporting directly to the Head of Programmes, you will be tasked with developing and producing educational programmes and materials on topics such as Political & Media Literacy, counter-extremism, and online safety. This will involve ensuring resource related KPIs are met within budget and on time, alongside supporting our Head of Programmes in coordinating delivery of projects. Some projects may be handled by you directly at times. Projects and resources can vary from developing media literacy workshops for schools, creating digital assets for counter-extremism training and campaigns, to planning content for city-wide democratic engagement campaigns.

Terms and benefits:
Terms: The role will be full-time (37.5 hours/week) permanent contract - we will consider well-structured JobShare applications. As we often work with volunteers, occasional evening and weekend work will be required and compensated through TOIL. Occasional but limited UK or European travel will be required (by arrangement).

Salary: £39,705
Location: You must be based in the UK. We have an office in Farringdon, London, where London-based staff typically work at least two days a week. If you are based outside of London, the role will be home-based.
We hold quarterly all-staff strategy meetings and annual away days which you will be required to attend in person: we will cover the cost of your travel. You will be required to come together with the team occasionally and these travel costs will not be covered, we try our best to keep these to when only necessary.
Language Skills & Visa Status: Candidates must be fluent in English and have the independent right to work in the UK for a minimum of two years, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship.
Holiday: 22 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, as well as an additional 3 days between Christmas and New Year when the office and our services are closed.

The Communications Manager plays a vital role in shaping how UK Men’s Sheds Association (UKMSA) communicates, both internally and externally, and with the community at its heart. Operating with a high degree of autonomy and professional expertise, the postholder leads the development and delivery of communication strategies that connect, inform, and inspire.
This is not just a messaging role. Rather, it’s about building trust, clarity, and connection across UKMSA communities. Internally, the Communications Manager helps staff feel informed, included, and united across a remote-working environment. The post holder will coordinate internal communications, shape the tone and culture of how information flows, and ensure the brand is consistently and professionally represented.
With volunteers, especially UKMSA’s Ambassadors, the Communications Manager plays a key part in ensuring people feel heard, valued, and kept in the loop, especially during moments of change or challenge. Key responsibilities:
1. Internal communications
· Develop and deliver internal communication approaches that ensure staff across a remote-working environment are kept informed, connected, and engaged.
· Coordinate and facilitate regular team meetings, updates, and communications, including all-staff briefings, newsletters, and shared messaging.

The postholder will manage a small team and work widely with other teams, such as Evangelism and Growth, and across the wider Connexion.

Westway Trust is seeking an enthusiastic part time Gardener who will take immense pride in the maintenance and development of the grounds and gardens across the Trust's 23 acres of land. You will be an effective, efficient and safety conscious gardener who ultimately will ensure the Trust's grounds and gardens and green spaces are always kept healthy and beautiful. This role will be critical to ensuring management of a vibrant, diverse and thriving estate.
Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:
- Gardening duties will include: Planting, monitoring the health of all plants and green spaces, watering and feeding plants, pruning trees and shrubs, fertilising and mowing lawns, weeding, dealing with pests and diseases, and keeping green spaces and walkways clean and clear of debris and litter / waste.
- Working as part of the Grounds and Gardens team to maintain and improve soft and hard landscaping on Trust land as directed.
- Assisting in keeping Westway Trust’s land clean and tidy and reporting any damage.
- Co-operating with the Facilities Team, Events Team and other Westway Staff to deliver support to events as part of the wider organisation.
- Welcoming volunteers and community groups onto the estate to learn from the Grounds and Gardens team.
- Ensuring all relevant Health and Safety standards are adhered to with regards to personal safety, and the safety of members of the public using the gardens.
- Being responsible for the proper use, maintenance and safe storage of all plant, machinery, tools and equipment such as leaf blowers, strimmers, hedgecutters, graffiti removal equipment and mowers.
- Undertake planned and unplanned garden maintenance work on Trust grounds as directed.
- Engaging positively with the public and the diverse community in North Kensington and in accordance with our Equalities policies.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience as a gardener.
- Good communication skills and team working skills.
- Ability to work using initiative and be proactive, reliable and flexible.
- Good knowledge of plants, horticulture, horticultural processes and good plant identification skills.
- Practical ability to use and maintain tools.
- Experience of working in public open spaces.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety procedures.
- Experience of managing greenhouse/indoor plants and plant propagation.
- Knowledge of pests and diseases and how to eliminate them.
- Demonstrable commitment to biodiversity and improving green spaces.
- Demonstrable understanding of the needs of diverse communities and a commitment to equality of opportunity.
Desirable:
- Driver’s license
