About The Role

We are looking for an Operations Administration Assistant to provide efficient and proactive administrative and operational support to the Senior Management Team, and the wider operations and regional team as required. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth delivery of services by coordinating documentation, supporting data processes, and assisting with project implementation across the Trust’s care environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Executive & Team Support

- Managing calendar, travel bookings, and expense submissions.

- Prepare and format professional reports, presentations, and briefings.

- Assist in producing communication materials, including brochures and digital content.

2. Operational Coordination

- Monitor and report on incidents, accidents, and key compliance data across services.

The Role

We are seeking a highly capable and motivated Deputy Director to lead our quality assurance work and play a central role in shaping and delivering cross-sector projects. You will oversee the management and strategic development of the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and collaborate closely with the Director on broader organisational and policy initiatives.

You’ll represent ASA at external stakeholder meetings, manage contracts and project teams, and act as a senior leader within a small and dynamic team that is passionate about access to justice and social welfare.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:

The Head of Governance will lead the charity’s small Governance and Risk, and Facilities teams. They are responsible for governance, company secretarial, risk management, health and safety, safeguarding, information governance, procurement and contracts management, business continuity planning, and management of facilities and the charity's office and small portfolio of other properties.

The role would suit someone who enjoys a broad remit and working with colleagues across the charity, who can think around issues and implement pragmatic solutions. As the role has a wide remit, the ability to learn quickly will be key. Candidates will need senior level experience of charity governance, risk management and safeguarding, ideally working with adults at risk. This role is 0.5FTE (17.5 hours per week). The newly created Financial Controller position offers a rare opportunity for a technically strong, ambitious, and commercially aware finance professional to play a key role in reshaping East End’s finance function and influencing decision-making at a senior level. Role Summary 

Our current Director of Finance & Operations will be going on maternity leave in mid-October 2025 and we are looking for an experienced and energetic interim Director of Finance & Operations who will be able to hit the ground running in overseeing all of our finance, HR and operations, which underpin our core mission and work to support babies, families and health professionals across the neonatal community.

Role specifics
As a key member of Shelter’s Community & Events team, you’ll be the first point of contact for our fundraisers, providing tailored support, advice and materials across phone, email, post, web and social channels, while ensuring accurate records, smooth communications, and newsletters. You’ll contribute to improving the supporter experience by helping develop fundraising resources, gathering case studies, and assisting at events and collections, often supervising volunteers with clear guidance and support (occasional evening and weekend work required, with time off in lieu).

You’ll also manage stock of fundraising materials, coordinate replacements through suppliers and internal teams, and provide essential administrative support, including data entry and financial processing (training provided). To thrive in this role, you'll need strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, excellent time management, and a sharp eye for detail. A flexible, can-do attitude is essential, as is a willingness to stay busy, get involved across the team’s varied work, and embrace learning opportunities to deepen your understanding of the charity sector and Shelter’s vital mission.

About the team
This role sits in the Community & Events department, which is made up of the Community Fundraising, Mass Participation, Digital Fundraising and Supporter Experience teams. Job Summary
The Finance Business Partner in Volunteering is responsible for providing the first line of support and assistance with the development of financial plans, analysis of the financial performance and forecasts of the Adult Volunteering area, in order to provide high quality business insight to both support and influence strategic decision making by St John’s management teams. They will be a key member of the Financial Planning and Insight team to ensure delivery of the annual three-year budgeting process, that is aligned to strategic operational plans. About You
You are a fully qualified professional accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA). Ideally you have gained experience in the charity sector and large complex organisations. You can demonstrate previous experience in a finance business partner role with a track record of supporting the end-to-end processes for in-year forecasts and annual budgets and three-year plans that are aligned to business strategy. You have significant experience in managing the day-to-day, monthly and annual production of management accounting processes. Responsible for the strategic leadership and effective delivery of Humane World UK’s wildlife campaigns, this role is an exciting opportunity to create change at scale. The purpose of the position is to deliver Humane World UK’s wildlife campaigns including, at present, ensuring the successful passage into law of a Bill to ban imports of hunting trophies into the UK. The role will be responsible for identifying opportunities to progress wildlife protection in the UK, including for Humane World's global priority initiatives to promote humane human-wildlife co-existence, and to effectively tackle wildlife trade including for 'exotic' companion animals.
