As the organisation expand their reach and influence, they are seeking an Education and Training Manager to drive the development, delivery, and strategic growth of the education, training and events programme. This role is offered on a four days a week (0.8 FTE) basis.

This new role will be instrumental in advancing the charity’s mission by strengthening our education and engagement efforts across the UK research community. About the Role
As the Education and Training Manager, you will:

• Shape and lead the organisation's education, training, and events strategy, identifying gaps, responding to sector needs, and ensuring a forward-thinking, inclusive and impactful programme.
• Develop high-quality, engaging training content and resources that support research integrity across disciplines, tailored to audience needs and optimal delivery methods for learning - driving innovation in delivery formats, including online and train-the-trainer models.
• Design, coordinate, and deliver a range of training activities—from workshops and webinars to bespoke programmes—for researchers, organisations, and key stakeholders.
• Oversee the delivery of the body's training and events provision, including management of in-house sessions and external training associates, and represent the organisation at conferences, events, and sector forums.
• Collaborate with partners to evaluate and continuously improve the quality, reach and effectiveness of the charity's education and training offer through feedback, data and strategic review.

Job Purpose

To provide confidential, accessible, and high-quality counselling support to students aged 16–18 and apprentices at Ada, the National College for Digital Skills. The counsellor will play a key role in promoting emotional wellbeing, resilience, and positive mental health to enable students to thrive academically, socially, and personally. The role supports the college’s mission to empower a diverse generation of digital pioneers by removing emotional barriers to learning and contributing to a safe and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Direct Student Support

• Provide one-to-one counselling sessions to students and apprentices, including those experiencing mental health challenges, emotional distress, trauma, and/or personal issues.
• Deliver short-term, goal-focused therapeutic interventions based on students’ needs and referral pathways.
• Maintain appropriate and confidential records in line with safeguarding and data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR). Using the College’s CPOMS systems to record sessions.

2. Collaboration and Safeguarding

• Work closely with the Safeguarding and Wellbeing team, including the Designated Safeguarding Lead, to assess risk and provide timely interventions.
• Attend and contribute to safeguarding meetings, case conferences, and strategy discussions where appropriate.
• Make referrals to external mental health and support services when specialist or long-term intervention is required.
• Be a visible and approachable member of the learner services team, building trusted relationships with staff and students.

3. Promotion of Wellbeing

• Support the delivery of a proactive mental health strategy that reduces stigma and encourages help-seeking behaviours. 
• Facilitate a weekly well – being sessions with the safeguarding team.
• Contribute to college-wide initiatives, workshops, and campaigns that promote positive mental health, resilience, and emotional intelligence.
• Help create a psychologically safe, inclusive space for under-represented and neurodiverse learners.

4. Professional Practice

• Adhere to ethical guidelines set by a recognised professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP) and uphold standards of best practice.
• Participate in regular clinical supervision and CPD to maintain and develop professional skills and knowledge.
• Evaluate the impact and outcomes of counselling provision using appropriate tools and data.
• Provide monthly intervention and support reports to the Assistant Principal Learner Services and College DSL.
• Work closely with the College Safeguarding and Apprenticeship team.

Person Specification

Essential:

• Qualified counsellor or psychotherapist (minimum Level 4 diploma or equivalent).
• Registered member of a professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, NCS).
• Experience of working with young people (16–18) and/or apprentices in an education or youth setting.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles and a commitment to student welfare.
• Ability to manage sensitive issues with professionalism, discretion, and cultural awareness.

Desirable:

• Experience of working in a further education or sixth-form environment.
• Familiarity with digital safeguarding risks and challenges faced by digitally engaged young people.
• Understanding of intersectional mental health needs (e.g., LGBTQ+, neurodiverse, BAME students).

•  Ability to represent Ada at external events when required.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional leader to lead on delivery of our community based support within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. This will be to cover maternity leave until 31st March 2025. These services include core IDVA teams and additional specialist roles, often supporting survivors at the point of crisis and highest risk. Purpose of the AV Technician role:

The Royal Air Force Museum is seeking an Audio Visual Technician with experience in Stage Lighting and Rigging to work with the Event Technician, to use our in-house equipment, for the Commercial and Public Events programs.

As Health Intelligence Analyst you will be working as part of our highly respected health intelligence team, playing a key part in ensuring we use data and insights to understand and advocate for the needs and experiences of people living with arthritis and MSK conditions.

The postholder will undertake data analysis, data visualisation, and produce reports to develop and administer systems and processes that aid effective data intelligence gathering. They will also deliver projects and support a forward plan for arthritis and musculoskeletal health intelligence; contribute and work effectively within a dynamic team; and support, nurture and grow relationships with external and internal partners to further Versus Arthritis’ data leadership role in the musculoskeletal (MSK) sector.

About the role

• Lead on establishing and maintaining a ‘single source of the truth’ on arthritis and musculoskeletal statistics and data within the charity and beyond. This includes our annual State of MSK Health statistics report and other statistics publications.
• Support on the development and delivery of a pipeline of insightful MSK and health data analysis and quantitative research, to better understand the UK population with arthritis and MSK conditions and to inform the direction of Versus Arthritis’ ambitions, strategy, policy and services work.
• Work with others, particularly colleagues in UK Advocacy and Health Intelligence, to influence improved quality, extent and use of musculoskeletal health data by statutory bodies across the four UK nations, including Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID), National Health Service (NHS), Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC), nationally and locally to improve musculoskeletal health nationally.
• Manage and maintain our health intelligence website, intranet and Sharepoint pages and data enquiries inbox, ensuring they are up to date, reflect the latest developments of the health intelligence function in the charity and that queries are answered on time.

About you

If your knowledge, skills and experience include the following then we’d love to hear from you:

• Demonstrate sound knowledge of epidemiological research methods including experience of using multiple sets of health-related data and information systems, and large-scale data sets for policy, quality improvement or research purposes.
• Ability to interpret, present and communicate complex data in accessible lay terms, including producing data-rich reports for a range of technical and generalist audiences.
• Ability to analyse complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources.
• Strong experience of using NHS and other national health-based datasets, and a good understanding of UK health and social care systems.
• Experience using data to produce infographics or data visualisation.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Development

• Oversee the advancement of leadership development as a core strategic priority for MU
• Develop and implement programme strategies, resources and tools that strengthen and scale the leadership development initiative, integrating research, monitoring, evaluation and learning
• Design a leadership curriculum that meets the intended project objectives and equips women across diverse contexts, through online and hybrid learning, combining spiritual guidance with practical leadership and management skills

Programme Planning and Budgeting

• Work with PMEL Manager to design and refine M&E frameworks and specific targets
• Develop and manage work plans and budgets in line with project goals and donor requirements
• Identify an appropriate digital platform to be used to run the online aspects of the leadership development programme
• Oversee the successful purchase and use of core equipment necessary to run the digital platform

Programme Implementation and Review

• Lead and support the delivery of leadership training activities across participating dioceses
• Monitor progress against programme outcomes, ensuring high-quality implementation that is timely and within budget
• Collaborate with coordinators, trainers and church leaders to review programme content and adapt as needed for relevance and effectiveness
• Support reporting, learning and sharing of best practice across participating dioceses
• Champion safeguarding and gender empowerment throughout all stages of the project
• Coordinate data collection in line with the programme M&E plan, including impact stories and other evidence of change, for use in MU communications, including social media and publications
• Conduct regular reviews to identify opportunities for programme expansion, sustainability and long-term impact

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in Central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

The role 

Sustrans is the UK’s leading active travel organisation, working to make it possible for people across society to walk, wheel and cycle.  We have a new strategy for the next five years, a key strand of which is to unlock active travel in new housing developments, and we are recruiting a Head of New Developments to lead this work.

This is a new position in which you will draw on your experience in the housing delivery sector to grow Sustrans’ contribution to the creation of new communities that have active mobility at their heart.  As well as leading our influencing work aimed at organisations in housing delivery, you will develop and promote an offer to partners, drawing on Sustrans’ existing infrastructure, behaviour change and advisory services.  You will connect with, inform and inspire professionals and decision makers involved in delivering new homes to adopt the actions required to increase active travel in their developments.  Through collaboration with our Commercial team and subject experts across Sustrans, you will develop a pipeline of funded work from public, private and third sector organisations, ultimately enabling more households to walk, wheel or cycle for their day-to-day journeys.

The role can be based in any Sustrans office and will involve frequent in-person meetings and site visits, particularly (but not exclusively) in the Midlands and South of England. 

About you 

You’ll have significant experience contributing to the delivery of new developments through work for or with organisations such as developers, housing providers, consultancies, local authorities or government.  We’re looking for applicants with a professional network in housing delivery, and significant experience securing new commissions from and/or influencing organisations involved in delivering new developments.  You’ll have a strong understanding of the development process, including the spatial planning system, and of the roles of the parties involved in delivering new developments, the power dynamics between them, and the opportunities and appetite each has for taking action to increase active travel.  Naturally, you’ll have deep knowledge of the challenges, opportunities and hot topics in housing delivery – for new towns, urban extensions and urban intensification schemes.

You’ll have exceptional external-facing leadership skills, and be a strategic, creative thinker, able to solve problems and convert new ideas into practical actions.  Your outstanding communication skills will enable you to engage with stakeholders at a senior level, including on contentious subjects and on high-profile projects.  You’ll have strong business acumen to secure new commissions and deliver effectively for clients, and the skills to influence decision-makers.

You’ll have experience of engaging meaningfully with communities to ensure that new developments respond to the challenges and aspirations of local residents and stakeholders.  And you’ll have good knowledge of how active travel can be embedded into new developments to maximise the number of routine journeys that are walked, wheeled or cycled.

Director 

North East, working in person in Teesside three days a week

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader, with a passion for giving children the best possible start and with a strong belief in the power of communities. The role will work both locally and nationally, as part of the wider team. 

The Director will manage our client’s existing programme in Redcar and Cleveland with a talented and committed team (10 staff). They will also develop and manage the new programme in Middlesbrough, currently in Discovery phase, and recruit a staff team of 8- 10 people, with support from the charity’s central team.  Once set up, the Director will lead the following across both areas: 

• Building relationships and networks in the areas, across the public, voluntary and private sector 

• Leading the team to support delivery of the charity's local early years strategy in the areas

• Leading the delivery of a portfolio of complementary workstreams, continuously refining and strengthening the work so that we make the greatest possible positive difference to local children and families 

• Working closely with local partners and the national team to ensure that data and learning is captured and fed into strategic thinking and our national model 

Supported by our central team, the Director will enable local stakeholders to collectively support parents and children under 5, to improve outcomes in the early years and particularly improve levels of school readiness. Crucial to this work will be engaging with and empowering local parents who are the key to successful delivery of the initiative.
