We have a great opportunity for an Assistant Head of Legacy and In Memory Fundraiser working for The Salvation Army. This role will report into the Head of Legacy and In Memory and line manage two others in the team to inspire in-memory and legacy donors, whilst driving key fundraising targets and activities.  

You will deliver multi-channel legacy marketing campaigns to grow In Memory and Legacy supporters, develop new ideas, and provide excellent stewardship to current and long-standing supporters of the charity. This role will focus on growth and the protection of legacy income, currently £65m per year. TreeHouse School is a happy and vibrant community where autistic children and young people learn and flourish. Currently, we have 100 pupils on roll aged 4- 19 years old. We provide children with the specialist, intensive and integrated support to enable them to learn, thrive and achieve. All pupils have a Primary diagnosis of autism with some that also have additional complex needs. We adopt a person-centred approach which ensures that the voice of the young person is at the centre of all we do.

Finance Manager (Maternity Cover)

The Jon Egging Trust is seeking an exceptional Finance Manager to uphold and enhance our existing strong financial infrastructure whilst our current postholder is away on maternity leave. This role involves managing day-to-day financial reporting systems and controls, providing forecasts for bids, ensuring financial plans align with budgets, and meeting external reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities:

• Financial management: maintaining robust financial reporting systems and controls, and line managing the Finance Assistant.
• Fundraising support: providing accurate financial forecasts for bids and meeting fund reporting requirements
• Budgeting: ensuring financial plans are in line with budgetary constraints.
• Accounts production: leading the production of monthly management accounts and communicating to operational managers.
• Re-forecasting: handling budgeting and re-forecasting processes.
• Compliance: communicating effectively with auditors and the external finance committee.

Candidate Profile:

Accounting experience: minimum of two years in relevant financial management roles in a charity or non-profit.

Essential Skills:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting
• Lead on delivery of the annual and half year budgetary process
• Develop budgets for funding applications and providing financial support to fundraising
• Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex financial information.
• Highly methodical and organised in record-keeping and analysis.

Who We’re Looking For:
 
We are seeking a proactive and highly self-motivated Fundraising Manager to join our team at Police Care UK and make a critical contribution towards our combined annual fundraising target of approximately £1 million.
 
With knowledge of the funding landscape for first responders, police, mental health, or wellbeing causes, you will take direct responsibility for income from Trusts & Foundations, Major Donors, and legacy fundraising, alongside oversight of our challenge and community events.
 
With strong research and writing skills, you’ll identify new funding opportunities and produce compelling, high-quality applications. You’ll also bring excellent relationship-building abilities, managing key donor relationships with care and ensuring grant compliance to maximise impact and income.
 
If you have a strong track record in securing significant income from trusts, foundations, grant-making bodies and major donors, and a commitment to improving mental health outcomes for those who serve, we’d love to hear from you.
 
Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a trusts and foundations fundraising strategy to meet agreed income targets.
• Research and identify new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources.
• Write compelling, tailored funding proposals, applications, and reports.
• Work closely with finance and clinical teams to monitor and report on grant expenditure.
• Organise meetings, presentations, and site visits to engage and inspire funders.
• Provide timely updates, reports, and impact statements to funders.
