About the role

As Senior Media and Campaigns Officer, you will play a key role in delivering Wellbeing of Women’s media relations and campaigns strategy. You will be responsible for generating regular, high-quality national and regional media coverage and working on the implementation of impactful campaigns that raise awareness, influence policy, and support the charity’s wider objectives. You will think creatively about how to promote our work through both media engagement and wider campaigning activity across digital and offline channels.

We are looking for a creative and strategic communicator with excellent writing skills, a strong news sense, and the ability to develop engaging content and messages tailored to different audiences. Experience of working with the media is essential, writing reactive lines and pitching to national media, as is a good understanding of campaigning principles and how to mobilise public or stakeholder support. Experience in content creation, campaign planning, and analytics would be an advantage.

This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong initiative, and a collaborative approach. We work in a fast-paced way and are looking for someone who can prioritise competing tasks, write quickly and clearly and has a flexible, can-do attitude. Main duties

Media relations

• Work with the Head of Communications and Campaigns to develop and deliver a proactive PR strategy to increase the reach of the charity.
• Develop PR materials including press releases, pitch angles, interview briefs, and media lists.
• Coordinate accurate and timely responses to inbound media enquiries, liaising with journalists and spokespeople.
• Work on media opportunities for our high-profile ambassadors.
• Support media planning and execution for fundraising partnerships and key organisational milestones.
• Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, and newswires, for opportunities and coverage relevant to women’s health.
• Analyse and share media coverage internally and externally.
• Take the lead on media measurement and evaluation, compiling regular reports on coverage and impact.

Campaigns

• Support the planning and delivery of integrated communications and advocacy campaigns, such as ‘Just a Period’ and the Health Collective.
• Develop campaign content, and assets (digital, print, social) in collaboration with the wider team.
• Lead on management and expansion of the case study database, interviewing and writing them up and being the charity contact point for all teams looking for case studies.
• Contribute to campaign audience mapping, stakeholder engagement, and supporter mobilisation strategies.
• Support on political engagement work, especially with the Menopause APPG.
• Work on event management related to campaigns.

Wider communications

• Contribute to our digital channels (including social media and website) by drafting engaging content focused on our work.
• Contribute to Communications & Campaigns team planning with creative ideas to help develop our campaigns and contribute to other areas such as fundraising communications.

Income from donations from wills makes up approximately a third of our charity’s annual income. This new role will provide our charity with a dedicated member of staff to grow and develop income from this stream; strengthening relationships with pledgers, future pledgers and solicitors and other will writing service providers. The post holder will also coordinate marketing activities to promote this form of giving.

This role will also support colleagues in creating and support events to engage wider donors. We have a close-knit fundraising team and you will provide support for our community, individual giving and corporate giving teams.

The role

As Marketing Officer, you will play an important role in helping ReMind UK to realise its vision by overseeing marketing for ReMind UK. As a manager you will act as a project lead, delivering high-quality research projects at scale, and support the creation of specific deliverables for projects led by others. This covers the end to end of research design and delivery, including the creation of Theories of Change and evaluation frameworks, data collection and analysis, and impact reporting to help our partners learn about the effectiveness of their programmes. At manager level you will have the opportunity to take on larger-scope partnerships supported by a project sponsor at senior manager level or above.

Reporting to the CEO, the Head of Fundraising will be responsible for developing, directing and delivering the fundraising strategy.  You will be an inspirational leader; motivating the team to promote the Charity and successfully engage external stake holders, including both new and existing supporters, and develop long-term relationships through excellent stewardship.

The successful candidate will be able to manage legacy, grants & trusts, events, corporate and community fundraising. The Role

The Administrative Officer will play a key role in helping to ensure the smooth running of HEP’s operations, events, and communications, and in delivering the high-quality service that underpins our success.  This role reports jointly to the Operations Manager and the Lead for Digital and Communications. 

Key Responsibilities 

Administrative Support

• First point of contact for schools, clients, suppliers, and visitors triaging issues and responding efficiently and helpfully to queries in person, via phone, and by email
• Manage day-to-day administrative tasks including maintaining records and supporting internal workflows and some internal team communications
• Monitoring of shared inboxes across various teams, addressing enquiries in a timely manner
• Work closely with the Operations, Comms, CPD and Curriculum teams to support projects and workstreams

Event / Visitor Coordination

• Prepare and manage meeting rooms and training venues liaising with trainers and delegates
• Assist with the planning and delivery of in-person and online events, including training sessions, conferences, and away days
• Creati event collateral in a professional and timely manner 

CPD Support

• Support with organising and hosting online and in-person training and courses
• Support with the development of CPD promotional material including brochures and flyers
• Support with uploading HEPs training programme and events onto website
• Support the technical and logistical setup for virtual meetings and webinars

Communications and Digital Support

• Website administration support, resolving member queries 
• Help in creation and distribution of communication materials, such as flyers, newsletters, brochures,podcasts and content for social media/digital channels
• Work with the Communications Team to ensure consistency in tone, branding, and messaging

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in an administrative or office support role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders
• Strong IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Canva, Zoom, Mondaycom, Adobe Suite
• Good numeracy and data-handling skills
• Ability to manage time, prioritise effectively, and work flexibly across multiple tasks
• A proactive, positive, and collaborative approach to work
• A strong commitment to improving life chances for children and young people

Desirable Skills and Experience 

• Experience of working in or with schools or education settings
• Experience with event coordination or customer service
• Familiarity with maintaining websites and basic content management systems

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Health IGVA supporting women and children who are impacted by different strands of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG). You will work closely with victims of VAWG from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of VAWG at the highest risk and their children.

The Health IGVA will train and provide ongoing support to GP practices and other health professionals and providers to enable primary and secondary care staff to be able to effectively talk to their patients about gender based abuse and different strands of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG): including Domestic abuse and violence (physical, sexual, emotional,  psychological, economic or tech abuse)​​, Sexual Violence (Rape and sexual assault​)​, Stalking and harassment ​, Sexual exploitation ​​(including women working in sex industry and Child Sexual Exploitation)​​, Female genital mutilation (FGM)​/cutting , Forced marriage​​, So-called ‘honour’-based abuse, provide early identification and offer appropriate care pathways for survivors of all genders, aged 16 years and over and their children, living, working or/and studying in Lambeth.

The post holder will work in partnership with the local Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the Gaia Service Manager to proactively develop and maintain links with health providers in the local area and build links with health professionals and support agencies. 

The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the Multiagency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support.

The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, and practical options that might increase their safety. 

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.
