At The Connection Community, we provide a safe and welcoming space where people can find respite from street homelessness, build social connections, and access vital support. Our multi-disciplinary team is dedicated to reducing the harms associated with rough sleeping, fostering inclusion, and empowering individuals to move towards stability and independent living.

We see relationships as the key tool for change. The Community team build relationships of trust and solidarity that will help people to access our comprehensive professional support network, including NHS health services, DWP benefits advisors, migration specialists, and drug and alcohol support teams – all offering their services inside The Community.

Together we are piloting a psychologically-informed, trauma-responsive model with an embedded specialist NHS psychology team. This means you’ll receive high-quality training, 1:1 consultations, and reflective practice to enhance your skills, and to support you and your team to pioneer best practice in homelessness services.

You will be managing a multi-disciplinary team that is dynamic, creative and focused on building trust through relationships. Supporting the team to identify, engage and provide harm minimisation whilst promoting a sense of belonging. Providing rapid interventions for new people who may not need the service, alongside offering sustained support for the people who need it most.

You will have substantial experience in delivering psychologically, gender and culturally informed service to people who are experiencing street homelessness.  You will be both strengths-based and solution-focused, maximising and developing partnerships internally and externally to enhance service provision.  You will be both strength-based and solution-focused, developing and enhancing the service with a commitment to embed coproduction

• As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will provide a caring, safe, secure and accepting environment that meets the physical, health, social needs and rights of the young people.
• You will maximise educational opportunities and achievements for the young people by assisting in identifying, establishing and supporting educational provision and contributing to educational reviews.
• You will also undertake direct work that is designed to meet the young person’s needs as identified within the care plan, enabling them to reach full their potential.  Supporting the young person’s significant relationships will be a part of this task.
• Under close supervision you will take responsibility for key working at least one young person.

About the Role:

As a Group Work Practitioner, you will be delivering a range of group work courses and programmes to adults affected by crime in the Thames Valley. You will be required to manage your own caseload and work in collaboration with other service delivery staff within the Thames Valley Adult Victims Service.

The Thames Valley Adult Victims Service will provide emotional and practical support to adult victims of any crime. Support will primarily be delivered through specialist group work provision, alongside online and telephone support.

You will be confident in co facilitating the delivery of group work programmes to people with a range of different needs and will have strong empathy skills. You will need to be able to talk to groups of people and will be resilient and confident with supporting others, as well as happy to work as part of a team.

You will need to:

• Have the ability to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/ needs and interests in an organised and methodical manner.
• Have an understanding and knowledge of, and an active commitment to promoting equal opportunities and diversity.

About the role:

As a Senior, you will provide advocacy and support to those affected by the impact of crime.

You will work with people who have experienced or witnessed crime and you will be the single point of contact for them.

You will work with other agencies to provide a service that supports the individual through the criminal justice system, or works with them whether they decide to report the crime or not.

As an IVA, you will;

• Receive incoming referrals from a range of sources including the police, other agencies and individuals themselves
• Assess needs and risks, and agree action plans
• Work on case management systems to update case notes, manage and record information
• Give up to date and consistent information about the criminal justice system process
• Liaise with other agencies where required to provide advocacy for the service user, work in a multi-agency set up, give and receive information with consent
• Support the person and their wider family
• Work with criminal justice system agencies to ensure a trauma informed and victim friendly response
• Promote the service at events and meetings where directed or required
• Ensure that you are aware of and up to date with safeguarding and data policy and processes and able to identify where there are risks

You will need:

The Role

Part of the Technology team, this role involves the provision of systems support on a range of systems. This role supports the full range of Technology Support Desk duties, and you will be one of the first points of contact for all staff.

Your main duties will be responding to calls, recording and resolving issues and, where appropriate, allocating tasks to other team members; and maintaining the Society’s hardware and software. You will also provide technical guidance to other Technology Support Desk staff members.

About You

We are looking for someone with experience of:

· Working within an IT helpdesk environment PowerShell, Microsoft Online (365) and Exchange Online Management modules

· Migrating a business from on-premise to Microsoft Office 365 services

· Supporting and administering Microsoft Office 365 services, for example, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online and Defender

· Full device lifecycle management using Windows Autopilot and Microsoft Intune

· Packaging software and apps in Microsoft Intune

· Deploying devices using Windows Autopilot

· Deploy remediation scripts from cloud-based tools

· Replacing and troubleshooting computer hardware components

· Supporting and maintaining range of peripheral devices

About the role:

This role is based at our Preston Office. This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement. As an ISAC you will be:

• Focusing on victims at high risk of harm from stalking and harassment & will provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Supporting victims face to face or by telephone to access services to keep themselves & family safe.
• Developing individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the needs & risk assessment.
• Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including legal & civil options, housing, health & finance as well as support through the criminal justice system.
• Participating in multi agency meetings providing the voice of the client & ensuring actions are followed up.

You will need:

• a good understanding of stalking, harassment & domestic abuse

About you

You have significant HR management experience, with a CIPD level 7/equivalent qualification or expert by experience. The Role

We are currently looking for two Centre Support Assistants to join our Retail, Services and Operations team.

The role will be interesting and varied and will provide support across departments to ensure the centre is able to operate efficiently and effectively 7 days a week. • Assist in all aspects of running our café at Hornbeam Park, including opening and closing procedures, food production, preparation of hot drinks, till operation and cleaning tasks.
• Assist in all aspects of running our shop at Hornbeam Park, including merchandising, till operation and cleaning/tidying tasks.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To ideally be educated to GCSE standard including Maths and English.
• To have previous experience in a customer facing role and a high level of commitment to customer care is essential.
• To have proven administration experience and experience of maintaining accurate records is essential.
• To have high computer literacy with comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook. 
• To be up to date with safeguarding and confident in raising any concerns. 
• To have a good knowledge of GDPR requirements and how to apply them is essential.

About this key role

Our successful candidate will carry out initial and ongoing assessments of the support needs of individual participants, before providing them with essential advocacy, mentoring, guidance and training interventions that meet their needs, plus engage and case-manage eligible participants on the CFO Evolution programme by providing ongoing resettlement support.  You will be expected to create an Action Plan, plan and design appropriate activities, training programmes and interventions, and establish and deliver high-quality, engaging one-to-one and group sessions, while also monitoring participants’ progress and providing timely monthly reports.

We will also rely on you to develop strong relationships with HMPPS/agencies offering support, where appropriate provide holistic wrap-around with general elements of resettlement support and working collaboratively plan for and facilitate effective Through the Gate and warm handover to the relevant Support Worker in Community.

• Working intensively with individuals and supporting their progression

• Working with offenders, or those disaffected and marginalised from mainstream services, in training, guidance, advice and counselling environments would be advantageous

• High level guidance skills, with the ability to deliver one-to-one and group sessions

• Knowledge of the issues affecting the rehabilitation of offenders and desistance theory

• Knowledge of HM Prison environments and/or training, education and employment opportunities locally and nationally, and of training and guidance

• Demonstrable ability to support and motivate learners with multiple complex needs
