The Brand Manager will play a crucial role in the planning, development and implementation of brand activity across the charity. The role is key to driving growth across brand, fundraising and engagement.
Working closely with the Senior Brand Manager and the wider Brand department, this role will put the Alzheimer’s Research UK brand at the heart of everything we do, business partnering across the organisation to embed the brand internally, maximise opportunities to amplify the brand, and drive brand consistency.
The Brand Manager will liaise across the whole organisation, working particularly closely with key contacts across Marketing and Fundraising, Communications and Policy.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Work closely with the Senior Brand Manager to develop and deliver the organisation-wide brand strategy, driving engagement across the charity.
· Deliver brand campaign activity to ensure that campaigns are delivered efficiently and have maximum impact.
· Act as an internal brand consultant across the organisation, collaborating with teams to amplify the brand and maximise brand opportunities.
· Lead brand input into integrated campaign moments across the charity, ensuring consistent look and feel and aligned messaging.
· Line manage a Brand Officer and support them in their development.
· Inspire and engage colleagues internally, delivering internal communications to ensure that the brand is alive, understood and actively developed.
· Drive forward planning to ensure that plans are co-ordinated, regularly reviewed, and the brand is measured effectively.
· Be a day-to-day contact for external agencies and freelancers where relevant.
· Work with the Insight team to evaluate the impact of brand campaign activity.
What we are looking for:
· Experience of leading multi-channel brand or marketing communications campaigns with a good knowledge of the full marketing mix.
· Proven experience in project planning, management and delivery for marketing campaigns.
· Experience of working with external creative agencies and freelancers.
· Strong line management experience.
· Experience of developing creative and applying a master brand to products, content and communications.
· Strong experience of developing key messaging for individual products and campaigns.
· Experience of measuring and reporting on brand health and campaign performance.
· The ability to work at pace, delivering multiple complex projects to meet specified deadlines.
· Outstanding leadership and coordination skills.
· Clear and concise communications skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to cut through complexity.
· Ability to influence and collaborate with a range of stakeholders at all levels and get buy-in to new ideas.
· Understanding of the range of media channels and platforms used for brand marketing.
Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.
Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals. This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Salary: Circa £44,000 per annum, plus benefits

Position overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at the Environmental Justice Foundation (EJF): one of the world's leading non-profits working at the intersection of environmental conservation and human rights. We are lean, agile, creative, strategic and most of all results-driven.
This is a varied and fast-paced role for an outstanding EU Communications Officer with a proven track record of securing high-level media coverage for environmental campaigns and delivering policy impact. We are looking for someone with a passion for our work and the drive, experience and skills to build our audiences, raise the profile of our campaigns and get our perspectives in front of key decision-makers.
This role would suit someone with strong experience in journalism or working in a press office, with a passion for placing impactful stories which drive real-world progress for a more sustainable planet.
You will have a demonstrable ability to understand our audiences and develop communications strategies to reach them. You will enjoy meeting and briefing journalists, enthusiastically reaching out to 'sell' our key stories. You will gain significant media coverage for EJF’s messages in key outlets both across the EU and in individual Member States. The successful candidate will work independently to ensure a steady flow of high-quality press outreach, as well as pitching and writing articles and op-eds to promote our perspectives. You will know which outlets key political decision-makers read, and how to place material with them.
You will be an outstanding writer, and possess superb adaptability and inventiveness to respond to a rapidly changing policy landscape.

Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement integrated communication plans and campaigns to support EJF’s policy work in the EU
- Ensure impactful and consistent coverage of our campaigns, and the issues they cover, in high-profile media outlets
- Prepare press releases and media packs for report launches and external developments, ensuring both proactive and reactive coverage
- Respond swiftly to media enquiries
- Research and actively engage media contacts and outlets, remotely and in person, to increase EJF’s reach, building a database to record and evaluate this outreach
- Work with our communications team around the world to develop coordinated media strategies across geographies and languages
- Evaluate and report on our press performance, making recommendations for ongoing improvement
- Create engaging and impactful content for our various communication channels, including our website, social media, newsletters, and other relevant platforms. This includes writing op-eds and blog articles on core EJF campaign areas
- Uphold the highest standards of scientifically rigorous but engaging writing at all times
- Host press briefings at events with external stakeholders
Essential skills and attributes
- Professional fluency (including excellent writing and editing skills) in English and either French or Spanish
- At least 3 years of experience working in communications, a press office, journalism or similar, with a particular focus on high-level traditional media outlets
- Knowledge of media relations, developing communication materials, writing content for different channels and developing social media campaigns
- Experience of and confidence in dealing with journalists from different types of media to ensure effective coverage
- An effective knowledge of the media outlets read by political decision-makers in the EU, and how to place articles in them
- Excellent copywriting skills, including under time pressure, and the ability to identify a good story, linking current affairs to EJF campaigns
- An exceptional level of creativity and drive to seek out new opportunities to promote EJF’s work
- Outstanding attention to detail and factual accuracy
- Reliable, determined, self-motivated, resourceful and able to work effectively with a small, dynamic, and international team
- Superb organisational skills, able to work quickly and prioritise efficiently to deliver timely outputs
- A passion for ensuring environmental justice

About the role
As Research and Insight Manager, you’ll play a key role in championing the voice of our customers, making sure their needs, views and expectations are fully understood and placed at the heart of everything we do at British Heart Foundation (BHF).
You’ll work closely with teams across the organisation, including brand and marketing, fundraising, retail and medical, acting as their research insight partner. You’ll help shape insight plans, lead research projects, and deliver findings that directly inform strategic and operational decisions.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Partnering with colleagues to convert complex and diverse business needs into focused insight plans, aligning the right research mix to products, audiences and priorities
- Managing research projects from start to finish, ensuring they’re delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard
- Making insights accessible, engaging and actionable for colleagues across BHF
- Influencing decision-making by embedding customer insight into everyday thinking
- Identifying opportunities to improve research processes and ways of working
You’ll be part of our Customer Insight and Analysis team, a collaborative group of researchers and analysts. Together, we ensure BHF’s strategy is driven by high-quality, timely intelligence, and that colleagues across the organisation have access to the insight they need to grow, innovate and improve our products and services.
Working arrangements
We are recruiting two Research and Insight Managers; one on permanent basis and one as 12-month Fixed Term Contract.
This is a hybrid role, where your work will be split between your home and at least one day per week, on average, in our London Office. This may vary from time to time, so you’ll need to work in a flexible way to unlock your best work for our cause.
About you
You’ll bring solid experience from a dedicated market or social research role, whether client-side or agency, with a strong track record of using a broad range of qualitative, quantitative and secondary research methods such as surveys, focus groups and interviews. You’ve led a wide variety of projects, including brand tracking, customer satisfaction, creative testing and proposition development, and you’re confident working across different business areas to meet a range of organisational needs.
You’re comfortable managing research from start to finish – from writing briefs and designing surveys or discussion guides, to overseeing fieldwork, conducting analysis and presenting findings. You’ve worked closely with external research agencies, managing procurement and delivery, and you know how to translate complex methodologies and data into clear, actionable insights that resonate with colleagues at all levels, including those without a research background.
You’ll bring:
- Expertise in selecting and tailoring research methods to varied business questions
- A deep understanding of ethical research practices, GDPR, and inclusive research approaches
- Strong questionnaire design skills and experience using survey software
- Excellent communication and consultancy skills, with the ability to influence and advise stakeholders at all levels
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising effectively and delivering to a high standard
- A proactive mindset, always looking for ways to improve processes and working practices
Experience in a health-related field, managing customer research communities or panels, and line management would be a bonus but it’s not essential.

Interview process
We are planning a two stage interview process, the first-stage interview will take place virtually via Microsoft Teams and are planned for w/c 1 September 2025.
Second-stage interviews are planned to be held at our London office (NW1 7AW) during the w/c 16th September 2025.

About the role
Reporting in to the Director of Organisational Effectiveness, the Head of Health, Safety, Security & Safeguarding is a key role for Christian Aid and will inspire, design and drive Christian Aid's Global Safe strategy, in respect of safety, security, and safeguarding, ensuring that staff in the UK, overseas offices, and partner organisations operate in a safe, secure, and well-supported environment.
The post-holder will be the custodian of a safe culture, ensuring that it aligns with the global culture programme and overall people strategy and be the organisation's safeguarding and security ambassador and expert, acting both internally and externally as a thought leader, challenging appropriately and bringing external expertise to Christian Aid.
Some of the main responsibilities and accountabilities for the role are:
-Monitor and assess security risks in operational locations, providing guidance on crisis response and emergency planning.

About you
The essential key skills and experience that we are looking for are:
-Significant experience in safety, security, and safeguarding roles, preferably in international NGOs, humanitarian organisation, or development agencies.
-Significant exposure to working in high-risk, conflict, or disaster-affected environments, managing safety and security for field teams.
-Advanced knowledge of global safeguarding frameworks, including protection of vulnerable groups, PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse), and child safeguarding and how they apply in humanitarian contexts.
-Extensive experience in crisis response, risk assessment, and emergency planning for international staff and partners.
-Leadership experience in developing and delivering training on security awareness, safeguarding, and risk management.
-Proven ability to develop and implement security and safeguarding policies across multiple locations.
-Advanced understanding of global security protocols, crisis management, risk assessment, and incident response, particularly in volatile or conflict zones.
-Expertise in managing security risks, conducting security assessments, and developing crisis management plans.
