Business development & Partnership building

1. Identify funding opportunities by keeping abreast of the funding landscape, as well as trends within the international development and Modern Slavery/Human Trafficking sectors, assessing new market opportunities, and forming partnerships. Work closely with country offices to identify and respond to funding opportunities.

2. Build a robust pipeline of opportunities for Hope for Justice programmes.

3. Build highly productive relationships with donors and negotiate effectively, when required.

4. Develop and deliver tailored, high-quality bids, working closely with all relevant HFJ departments to design comprehensive and evidence-based projects for funding.

1. Manage the bid development cycle - follow internal processes for bids, work with the teams to ensure high quality bid design, write and edit technical content for bids, and respond to donor requirements.

Donor management

1. Represent Hope for Justice at external meetings with donors and consortium partners.

2. Manage relationships with donors - input into engagement/donor stewardship strategies, communicate with donors regularly, and share key information about projects in between reporting periods.

1. Ensure reporting requirements for all donors are met and quality reports are completed to deadlines.

2. Lead on donor grant agreement/contract negotiations and compliance.

3. Ensure all relevant team members are fully briefed on the terms and conditions of donor grant agreements/contracts, including key deadlines (completion of grant management documents as required).

4. Manage due diligence processes, facilitate donor audits and support the programmes team on external evaluations for donor funded projects.

General

1. Travel is expected as part of the role, including to Hope for Justice Programmes.

2. Support digitalisation of donor and grant records and bid and grant processes.

3. Support volunteers that are assigned to the team.

The Events Officer will work closely with the Events Manager in the development and delivery of a first-class events programme for Alzheimer’s Research UK, ensuring a consistent, professional, and highly engaging supporter experience. This role involves management of events, as well as supporting other teams across the organisation on their events scoping, planning and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

· Responsible for the development, management, delivery and evaluation of events within the Events Calendar, including meetings, dinners, receptions, webinars and other events as required.

· Support in management and delivery of events managed by other members of Events team as required.

· Work alongside the Events Manager and the conference working group on developing, management and delivering of the Research Conference.

· Work alongside the Events Executive to ensure the Events inbox is utilised and RSVPs are responded to in a timely manner

· Responsible for team use of the databases including Salesforce and EventsAir, by monitoring and reporting on events activity

· Undertake any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Events Manager and Senior Events Officer in line with the responsibilities of the post

· To brief the senior leadership team, scientists, clinicians, speakers, staff and volunteers ahead of each event

· Regular attendance at events; this will include some travel and work outside of ordinary working hours

What we are looking for:

· Experience in the events industry, both online and in-person

· Planning and delivery of online events via Zoom, Teams or similar.

· Confident working with computers, extensive knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

· Co-ordinating projects or events, particularly large-scale events of 200+ attendees.

· Delivering activity against and monitoring a budget.

• To undertake monthly visits to identified homes in accordance with the requirements of the relevant NYAS manager.

These visits will be:

Regulation 44 visits to residential children’s homes, short breaks and secure units.

Regulation 25 visits to residential family centres.

Care Quality Commission visits to residential adult homes.

Care Inspectorate Wales regulation 8 visits to residential children’s homes.

RSS20 visits to residential special schools.

Health and social care standards Scotland residential children’s homes.

Monitoring visits to unregulated provision.

• To undertake all tasks as identified by the relevant NYAS manager, during the visits and thereafter, in order to fulfil all aspects of the role.

Candidates should have demonstrable knowledge and understanding of regulated services and their inspection frameworks and also knowledge of current legislation and statutory guidance relating to children, young people and adults at risk particularly those in residential care.

Candidates must have experience of working within a social or health care organisation, safeguarding and experience of managing complex relationships across a diverse field, e.g. OFSTED inspectors, social workers, residential care workers and registered managers, health care professionals.

Candidates should also possess a professional qualification in a related field, i.e. social work, residential care, health care professional, advocacy or youth work.

This is a self-employed position and you will be paid a sessional rate.

You will also be required to complete annual safeguarding and compliance including, Personal Safety, Data Protection, Information Security, Safeguarding and Equality and Diversity. You will be able to subscribe to an e-learning platform provided by NYAS. The platform will provide you with the opportunity to undertake a number of other professional courses that you can complete in your own time to maintain your own CPD. Asylum Aid is seeking a solicitor and IAAS-accredited senior caseworker to join its Public Law team, with experience in immigration legal aid, judicial review, and asylum and human rights law. The role involves managing a complex caseload of asylum, trafficking, human rights, and public law claims, providing high-quality legal advice and representation, and conducting judicial review challenges in the Administrative Court and Upper Tribunal. The successful candidate will work closely with the Public Law Supervisor and the Director of Legal Casework to ensure that individual cases are handled effectively while also identifying systemic issues suitable for strategic litigation to achieve broader impact.

In addition to casework, the postholder will contribute to the strategic development of Asylum Aid’s public law work by supervising junior staff, providing training on judicial review procedures, and collaborating with colleagues on internal strategy discussions. They will also engage with external stakeholders and other sector organisations to represent Asylum Aid, contribute to policy discussions, and develop initiatives aimed at increasing the effectiveness of public law challenges. The role requires experience of managing legal aid cases, using case management systems, and complying with regulatory requirements, including applying for and extending legal aid certificates and submitting claims for payment.

Our Assessors are the first point of contact for anyone in the community that contacts us by phone or in person. The Assessor establishes what the issue is, ensures that all relevant information is collected, provides information and advice, and identifies the best next steps, ensuring clients are directed to the appropriate Citizens Advice Hammersmith and Fulham (CAHF) advice project, or external agency.

The role ensures processes are inclusive, transparent, and of the highest quality, embedding equity, diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding at every stage.

Working closely with the Fellowship Director and senior leadership, the postholder supports applicants and Fellows with guidance and feedback, strengthens the Fellowship model, ensures it runs smoothly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery of Fellowship Programme:

• Lead on and manage the full Fellowship selection process, from pre-application to final award, ensuring alignment with TCF’s EDI values and strategic priorities.
• Continuously review and improve application and selection process, documentation, and candidate guidance.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to applicants at all stages of the selection process.

Overseas Learning:

• Oversee the support provided to Fellows during their overseas learning, working closely with the Fellowship Manager to ensure guidance and resources meet individual needs.
• Authorise Fellowship grant payments for overseas learning, ensuring compliance with Fellowship model guidelines and organisational policies.

Collaboration and Engagement

• Contribute to the design of new Fellowship programmes, led by the Engagement team, and lead on operationalising these programmes during the application cycle.
• Continue to develop your own knowledge to ensure applicants and Fellows receive high-quality support and guidance throughout the process.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of the Fellowship programme.
• Represent TCF at Fellow-led and other relevant sector events as appropriate.

Safeguarding, EDI, and Fellowship Model

• Act as a member of the Designated Safeguarding Team, ensuring compliance and best practice.
• Lead on embedding EDI principles throughout the Fellowship model, working with the Chief Executive, Head of Activate and People and Culture Manager to ensure that accessibility, fairness and inclusivity are built into every stage of the process.
• Work with the Fellowship Director to continually enhance the candidate and panellist experience.
• Partner with the Salesforce team to ensure systems and processes support the successful programme delivery.
• Stay informed of sector trends, research, and innovative and equitable approaches to supporting individuals to learn and grow, applying learning to TCF’s work.
• Work with the Fellowship Manager and team to ensure risk assessments, insurance and safety plans for Fellows’ travel and events are proportionate, meet best practice and are compliant.
• Maintain awareness of global and societal trends that may impact Fellows’ safety and/or the design of the Fellowship model.

Leadership and Team Management

• Line manage the Fellowship Manager and Fellowship Officer, supporting their development and performance in delivering team and organisational objectives.
• Work closely with the Fellowship Director and Head of Activate to foster an inclusive, collaborative, and supportive team culture, encouraging innovation, reflective practice and shared learning.

General

• Ensure all Fellowship programme activity complies with organisational policies, safeguarding requirements, GDPR, and data protection standards.
• Contribute to organisational initiatives and cross-team projects, supporting the wider strategic goals of The Churchill Fellowship.
• This role may occasionally require working outside standard hours, to support Fellowship interviews, events, or external engagements.
• Undertake other reasonable duties as required to support the effective running of the Fellowship programme and the organisation.

• Degree level or equivalent transferable skills

Skills & Experience

• Proven leadership and line management experience, ideally in a fellowship scholarship, or education programme.
• Track record of developing individuals and teams, recognising diverse needs, and tailoring support accordingly.
• Strong experience in programme delivery and continuous improvement.
• Good knowledge of challenges and opportunities relating to international travel and learning. Desirable
• Excellent understanding of safeguarding practices with experience embedding policies operationally.

Standard working hours are 36.5 hours a week, 9.30am until 5.00pm, Monday to Thursday and from 9.30am until 4.00pm on Friday, including a paid lunch break of one hour.

We have embraced the benefits of working from home and at the same time, we value the contribution of face-to-face contact in building teamwork, collaborating with your colleagues, exchanging ideas and know-how, and for work efficiency. We therefore operate a hybrid working policy, where staff can work from home if they wish, however everyone is required to work in the office for a minimum of 4 to 6 days a month with Tuesdays as the core day for regular whole team meetings and Thursday as an additional core day for Senior Leaders.
