Purpose of the job  

 As the Fundraising Events Coordinator at UK Youth, you will support the Fundraising Events Manager in delivering our exciting calendar of special and challenge events, including our flagship Gala Dinner, Art for Youth, and the London Marathon. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with event committees, corporate partners, sponsors, and internal teams to manage logistics, handle event administration, and strengthen relationships with supporters and partners. 

 We’re looking for a proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strong organisational skills, and looks for ways to improve processes and support the wider fundraising team.

What You’ll Be Doing 

• Supporting the Fundraising Events Manager with all aspects of event delivery, including logistics, supplier coordination, volunteer support, and on-the-day event assistance 

• Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships team to ensure corporate partners are thoughtfully stewarded, have meaningful volunteering opportunities and are effectively engaged with our cause. 

• Liaising with external event committees and sponsors to support smooth communication, collaboration, and alignment 

• Assisting in the creation of engaging event materials to promote our cause and ensure key audiences attend our events

• Managing the events inbox, responding to all queries promptly and professionally

• Supporting financial tracking by helping to monitor event income and expenditure 

• Maintaining accurate records by updating the CRM and event databases regularly

Deputy Manager (Mental Health) - Recovery House Service 

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands 

Salary: £28,982 per annum 

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (flexible working times will be required) 

Recovery House is a new and innovative service we are launching that meets an important need for people experiencing poor mental health. The service will operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing vital support to people in need of short-term crisis accommodation, of up to 7 nights. The service is a partnership with the NHS, who will have a staff presence at all times, and builds on the range of strong collaborations we have with the public sector. 

We provide individualised, person-centred services that help people lead fulfilling lives and reach their full potential. Known for our high-quality support, we play a key role in Birmingham's mental health system and collaborate with local organisations to challenge the stigma surrounding mental distress. 

About the role 

Directly managing two Team Leaders, the Deputy Manager will work as part of a team in our regulated services and is an important role in the delivery of recovery based and prevention services within Birmingham. This post is central to the smooth running of the 24/7 Recovery House. 

The Recovery House is commissioned by the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust and is part of their Urgent Care pathway. Working closely with Operations at Birmingham Mind, the role contributes to effective communication between operational staff and management. 

You will support the Service Manager in providing continuous and safe delivery of support at the Recovery House and always ensuring high quality person-centred care. You will ensure that compliance and adherence to CQC standards is upheld by the Recovery Support Workers and Team Leaders and provide updates and reports both internally and externally. 

You will provide direction, shared management, and support to the delivery team of 13, which includes 24/7 staffing and support; ensuring we deliver on the aims of crisis intervention and prevention. 

The role requires a clear vision of how crisis alternatives can be achieved through highly effective services, and the ability to turn that vision into a reality. You will support the work of the NHS clinical team and liaise with them and ensure that the service can be accessed by service users when they need it and that the house is prepared and ready for new residents. 

About you 

You will need to be skilful in developing strong relationships with a range of people and be able to hold on to a vision for the future rooted firmly in values and the principles of recovery, whilst accepting that different professions have different skills and contributions to be made. 

We are looking for someone who is experienced in delivering services in a CQC regulated residential or supported living environment and has previously managed a team with line management. You will have excellent working knowledge of relevant mental health and other legislation and have had dealings with Safeguarding and Health and Safety. 

The successful candidate will have knowledge of and a commitment to the “Recovery” model of mental health support and experienced in delivery services within values and framework. You will be able to manage and lead a team of people to perform to their best, with the ability to work closely with the Service Manager to ensure a high quality of service. 

This role will involve working on a rota, including some evenings and weekends.

If you have experience of Housing First and mobilising contracts this would be an advantage but is not essential.

Shelter North East has been supporting people in the region for over 25 years and provides advice over 12 local authorities. We are made up of an advice team, legal team as well as support services which include Housing First and DIY skills service, as well as an administration team. About this key role

Our successful candidate will provide line management support, guidance and coaching to two administrators, ensuring their responsibilities are clear and that they are supported to carry out their roles, plus provide positive and proactive peer support to Admin and Coaches to ensure that data is collected reliably and consistently.  You will also manage the allocation and appropriateness of all referrals coming into the Eastern region CRS service and ensure all referrals are accurately recorded, plus coordinate the data collection across the Eastern Region Criminal Justice contracts.

We will also rely on you to monitor the service and support with the development, implementation, and the maintenance of effective data collection systems, as well as offering training where necessary to ensure the team can perform data collection effectively.  Interpreting and explaining complex data to the admin and delivery team for purposes of clarity/verification is also an important duty, as is supporting with the development and maintenance of processes around referrals, data collation and the production of reports.

Launched in the summer of 2019 on a 2,000-acre estate in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), Wales, the Penpont Project is the largest intergenerational nature restoration project of its kind anywhere in the world. Initiated by Action for Conservation, the Penpont Estate, Tirmawr Farm, and a Youth Leadership Group of 12-18 year olds from diverse backgrounds, the project aims to restore nature and culture in this special place and demonstrate how youth leadership and ambition can advance nature’s recovery at a time of acute ecological crisis.

We are looking for a Learning & Engagement Coordinator to join our flagship Penpont Project, empowering young people and intergenerational communities to connect with, feel inspired by and take action for nature. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a unique and innovative project, maximising positive outcomes for young people and the environment.

Contract: Part-time, fixed-term for 12 months, with possibility to extend duration and/or increase working hours when additional funding is secured

About the role

As Learning & Engagement Coordinator, you will support the successful delivery and ongoing development of our learning and engagement work as part of the Penpont Project, playing an active role in empowering young people and intergenerational communities to connect with, feel inspired by and take action for nature. You will proactively engage the Penpont Project’s Youth Leadership Group, school and youth groups, local community members and other stakeholders, and will help to design, organise and run a wide variety of events and activities for them to take part in. These will include both day visits and residential stays (including at our brand new Forest Camp site) as well as online sessions. You will also support our Youth Rangers programme and similar professional development opportunities. In doing so, you will play a vital role in strengthening our flagship intergenerational approach to nature restoration and maximising positive outcomes for young people and the planet. 

In your day-to-day, you will work closely with our  Penpont Learning & Engagement Manager as well as with our Land-based Projects and Policy Lead, Penpont Project Manager and Technical Lead and with our project partners, the Penpont Estate and Tirmawr Farm, to make sure our learning and engagement activities are aligned with wider project work and actions happening on the land.

To succeed in this role, you will be a highly organised, creative, flexible and self-motivated project coordinator who thrives in a varied and dynamic work environment. You will also be an inspiring communicator and skilled facilitator who can engage and build relationships with a wider range of stakeholders and communities, especially young people.

Key responsibilities:

• Engage young people and the wider community around Penpont to take part in our learning and engagement programme and wider activities on site.
• Facilitate the activity of the Penpont Youth Leadership Group during and outside of residential visits to Penpont and ensure young people are equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence ot engage fully with the project.
• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of a bespoke learning programme for school/youth groups that inspires and empowers young people to connect with and act for nature and aligns with actions happening on the land.
• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of regular community action days at Penpont, engaging local community members and supporting them to undertake practical nature restoration work in line with the project's action plan.
• Support the planning, coordination and delivery of events bringing together intergenerational stakeholders to collectively design a future vision for people and nature at Penpont and the wider Upper Usk catchment area.
• Support the running of the Penpont Youth Rangers programme and help to oversee the Rangers' day-to-day activities.
• Support monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) activities at Penpont to understand the impact of the project and facilitate learnings.

What we are looking for

• Experience of working with young people, ideally aged 12-18, with proven ability to engage, motivate and support young people from diverse backgrounds
• Strong environmental knowledge and practical skills
• Great facilitation skills with a track record of facilitating stimulating, interactive and inclusive group activities both in-person and online, including practical activities in an outdoor setting
• Experience of organising and running community and/or educational events from start to finish, including liaising with partners and participants, managing logistics, safeguarding and health and safety
• Excellent organisational and time management skills and ability to plan ahead, work across multiple tasks and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines

About the role

The Home Ownership Officer will play a key role in managing the relationship between Hastoe and its leaseholders, shared owners and freeholders. The role ensures compliance with leases, legislation and internal policies, while supporting residents with advice and managing a range of property and legal matters.

The role will also support the Home Ownership Manager in delivering a high-quality service to homeowners, ensuring compliance with leases, legislative requirements, and Hastoe policies.

Duties will include:

• Acting as the main point of contact for leaseholders and shared owners, dealing with queries related to leases, service charges and home ownership policies.
• Managing statutory and voluntary lease extensions, collective enfranchisement applications as well as staircasing, liaising with legal teams and valuers as needed.
• Investigating and resolving breaches of lease conditions, working with internal and external partners to achieve timely resolution.
• Carrying out administration aspects relating to resales, disposals, consultations and Ground Rent.
• Working with our solicitors to prepare cases for legal action including injunctions, money judgments, and forfeiture where necessary, and representing the organization at court or tribunal hearings.
• Liaising with finance teams to answer any service charge queries and to assist with the service charge estimates and actuals.
• Delivering excellent customer service, ensuring all queries are handled effectively and professionally.

About you

You will need to have proven experience in housing management, particularly in dealing with leaseholders and shared ownership leases, including the legal frameworks surrounding them. About the role

We’re looking for a Team Manager with extensive social work experience to manage our Sheffield Team. In this role, you’ll be supporting children and young people diagnosed with cancer by managing a team of social care staff who deliver services in line with our organisation’s service specifications.

You will be based at Sheffield Children’s Hospital where most of the team are based with one Social Worker based also at Weston Park Hospital. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work both from home and from Sheffield Children’s Hospital, however, there is an expectation that the majority of time (2 out of 3 days minimum) you will be present at the hospital with the team, especially on Tuesdays as this is when the whole team is together.

About you

Our work is rewarding but also complex and demanding; you will need to be resourceful and resilient.

We are looking for a social work qualified experienced people manager to take responsibility for operational management and development of our social work services.

You will ensure that effective services are delivered to children and young people with cancer and their families through the professional supervision of our staff group, working across split sites.

You will have:

• You must hold an appropriate social work qualification.
• Extensive experience of working with children and young people including complex case work and risk assessment and care planning, caseload management and interagency working
• Experience of managing safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults, legislation, procedures and best practice
• Experience of supervising students and / or staff in a social care setting
• Experience of delivering support to young people and families via different mediums including individuals, groups and digital delivery.
• A proven ability to manage expectations of key stakeholders including staff and service users
