We’re looking for a new HR Lead to build on our existing policies and processes and take our inclusive and high performing culture to the next stage.  As HR Lead you will be integrated across the organisation, working at both strategic and operational levels to develop our people practices. You will have experience across the HR spectrum but will be especially skilled at coaching managers, undertaking employee relations case work, recruitment, developing organisational culture, and implementing equity, diversity and inclusion within HR practices. Your ability to building trusting relationships with a wide range of people set you apart, as will your passion for the work we do.

Flexibility

Our London-based staff operate on a hybrid model, working in our office within London South Bank University (one minute from Elephant and Castle tube station) on Mondays and Tuesdays (for full time staff – part-time staff are only required to work one of those days in the office) and at home for the rest of the week. We also have staff outside London who are fully home-based. We would like the HR Lead to work in the London office on either Monday or Tuesday (or both if preferred) but are flexible as to when in the week the remainder of the hours are worked, provided that there is a consistent working pattern each week.   We have specified the number of days for this role as 3-4, meaning a minimum of three and a maximum of four, depending on what the appointed candidate is able to offer on a consistent basis each week.

About the role

This role saves lives at sea by inspiring and motivating a team of supporter-focused professionals who deliver fantastic experiences and respond to volunteer needs in order to secure the vital income that powers our lifesaving delivery. This will suit someone who has an expanse of fundraising and leadership experience as the job will involve overseeing the community branches, shops, regional partnerships and visits delivery plans for the region as well as matrix oversight of other fundraising functions.

As the Regional Engagement Lead, you will lead engagement activity for the South West region. The South West region covers Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, West Dorset, Wiltshire, Isles of Scilly and the Channel Islands with regular travel to the Regional Base in Saltash (applicants must live within the region).

As part of the Regional Leadership Team, you will provide leadership, guidance, vision and direction to ensure your region delivers its core service in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

In this role, you will be responsible for and accountable for ensuring that the RNLI is the most loved and best-supported charity. You will also be responsible for the achievement of the income target in your region. You will ensure that our supporters, donors, volunteers and the public have a great experience and feel valued whenever they interact with us so that they join us, stay with us, advocate for us and feel part of the RNLI family. This will mean that your region has enough funds, supporters, and volunteers to keep the RNLI afloat for the future.

About you

We are looking for a visionary, natural leader who loves to inspire people. Perhaps you’ve worked in a variety of fundraising leadership roles in areas such as community fundraising, charity retail and/or partnerships in other charities or organisations. Or, you may have been a Head of Fundraising in a local charity. If yes is the answer to any of these, then the Regional Engagement Lead could be the role for you.

We are looking for:

• Extensive experience of people leadership and of engaging supporters, volunteers and the general public in order to generate funds.
• Experience in leading field-based teams.
• Previous experience of being part of a senior leadership team.

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. The Chartered College of Teaching is currently working on a number of exciting projects, and is looking for an EdTech Evidence Lead who will play a key role in the success of these projects. The EdTech Evidence Lead will play a key role in delivering one of our key projects, focusing on EdTech Evidence. Drawing on their experience and knowledge of EdTech, they will support EdTech companies and educators to build understanding about gathering and evaluating evidence for different EdTech products. They will develop guidance and materials to facilitate this, and work with internal colleagues and external stakeholders to develop resources, systems and processes that aim to promote and recognise ‘high-quality’ evidence around EdTech. 

Main responsibilities include:

• Developing tools and resources to support individuals and organisations to engage with, and in, gathering and evaluating evidence around EdTech
• Developing guidance and training which helps EdTech companies plan and carry out evidence-gathering activities for their products and prepares them to submit evidence for formal review
• Contributing to the development and delivery of processes and systems for formally reviewing EdTech evidence
• Build relationships with EdTech companies and other key stakeholders to understand their use of evidence relating to EdTech and engage them with the project
• Liaising with a range of stakeholders to promote the use of EdTech evidence and seek input into the design and development of key project deliverables
• Representing the project externally to promote engagement with both the project, and with EdTech evidence generally
• Leading on the delivery of key project deliverables and monitoring progress towards these.

• Attending and participate in CPD learning activities and training to maintain and develop your knowledge and skills

Job Title: Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Duty IGVA)

Location: Lambeth, London
Salary: £23,085.69 per annum, inclusive of London weighting allowance 
Contract type: Part Time, Permanent 

Hours: 30 hours per week (Tuesday-Friday). Please note that the the operating hours of the service are 8AM- 6PM Monday- Friday with the expectation to work on some days 8- 4pm or 10- 6pm to cover. 

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Duty Independent Domestic Violence Advocate to be the first point of contact for women who are impacted by domestic violence. You will work closely with victims of domestic abuse from the point of crisis and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support to survivors all risk levels and their children..

In this role you will be part of a busy team. You will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre. The duty IGVA will be responding to daily enquiries (specify from whom- public, agencies, individuals? over the phone and email as well as contacting survivors, assessing their risks and needs.

The duty IGVA will be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the over to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support. The post holder will also empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. You will ensure that survivors are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options. About the role:

The Diversion programme began as a two-year pilot programme launched in July 2019 and funded by MOPAC (Mayor’s Office for Policing & Crime). The aim was to drive multi-agency working between the police, Voluntary Community Sector (VCS) service providers and other statutory partners and was part of a wider programme of work to develop a whole system approach to identifying and addressing the needs of women involved in the criminal justice system in London. The Diversion programme integrates a short-term, holistic package of support for women with an out of court disposal, to improve outcomes for the woman and offer Police officers a robust alternative pathway other than prosecution.

We have recently been awarded funding from Portsmouth City Council to deliver a 12-month pilot of the Diversion Programme in Portsmouth, to support those women of the PO1-PO6 area postcodes, who encounter the Police and as a result are then to be referred to the Diversion service rather than be prosecuted.

The successful post holder is required to pass Police Vetting
 

About You:

To be successful as Diversion Keyworker you will have an in-depth knowledge of issues facing women offenders and those at risk of offending; both in and out of the criminal justice system and the ability to see how violence against women and girls interlinks to women in the criminal justice system.

In short, you will have: -

You will bring proven practice of working with women experiencing issues related to offending (e.g. homelessness, substance misuse, domestic abuse, mental health or other relevant work area) preferably within criminal justice setting. You will be able to demonstrate your experience of conducting needs and risk assessments and of risk management crisis management skills and an ability to cope in stressful situations. You will show forth your ability to manage a caseload and a top-quality skill set with prioritising and organising your own workload.

You will be a self-serving uniquely able to undertake working independently and at times be managed remotely. That said, you will have a proven record of collaborative and working partnership with relevant statutory and voluntary groups, demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain strong constructive working relationships.

Job Summary 

The Two Cities Area Director of Ministry is a member of the Two Cities Area Team, responsible for providing visionary leadership and ensuring good management of key ministry initiatives.
