The role
We are currently looking to recruit a Group Financial Controller - an exciting opportunity to provide strategic financial leadership across the Soil Association Group, comprising both charities and commercial companies, including a new digital start-up, all working to transform the way we eat, farm and care for our natural world.
As an experienced finance professional you will lead the Group's financial planning and accounting and provide high level analysis and advice to trustees and leadership teams.
The role heads up the Group finance function, a respected and motivated team, and works collaboratively across the Group supporting income generation and financial management.
We are in the process of updating our financial processes and systems and we are looking for someone to continue the journey to improve our efficiency, provide better data analysis and improve internal controls.
As a member of the Executive team you will also contribute to the strategic direction and sustainability of the organisation whilst ensuring its vision and core values are upheld.
About you
You will:
- Be a qualified accountant with experience of leading a finance function in a complex organisation and have significant post qualification experience working in the not for profit sector ideally in a charity and a solid understanding of the Charity SORP .
- Be a strong leader able to communicate well with your peers and team members and have resilience to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands from internal and external stakeholders. Experience of transforming finance systems and processes is also highly desirable.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrable experience of leading and engaging with finance and other corporate functions to develop a mature and rounded service. You will demand high standards, whilst being an empathetic and supportive manager who works collaboratively with people of all levels
- Be financially and politically aware, bringing a high level of knowledge on the delivery of good financial control and financial governance ensuring that an effective service is delivered.
- You will be passionate about the natural environment and be motivated by the Soil Association's vision for regeneration.

We are assisting in their search for a Charity Administrator for an exciting 12-month fixed-term contract. This fully remote role (UK-based) offers the potential for extension.
Rooted in community-driven development, the organisation aims to empower local voices, strengthen healthcare delivery, and improve access to education at the grassroots level.
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Charity Administrator to lead on core administrative and compliance functions during the crucial start-up phase. You will be instrumental in the charity’s formal registration process with the Charity Commission, drafting essential governance documents, setting up operational systems, and ensuring that policies and procedures are both robust and fit for purpose. Your work will support trustees, liaise with external partners and advisors, and help establish the frameworks needed for long-term, sustainable growth.
You will be the central point of coordination between the UK-based team and stakeholders in Bangladesh, helping bridge cultures and systems while ensuring smooth communication. The role also involves assisting with documentation for early-stage fundraising efforts and contributing to the development of internal reporting tools that will help track progress and impact.
This role requires someone with some knowledge of Bangladeshi culture and languages (Bengali or Bangla). To be successful, you will have experience in charity set-up or small charity administration and a strong understanding of the UK Charity Commission regulations. You will be comfortable juggling priorities, managing multiple workstreams, and drafting professional documentation. Familiarity with international development would be advantageous, though not essential.

The role
As Community Fundraiser you will build and develop fundraising relationships in the community, by providing excellent stewardship and support to Fundraising Groups and volunteers, in order to increase income and deliver the agreed Community Fundraising strategy.
You will work across the region to both identify, research and form new fundraising groups in the community by organising community days and meeting potential volunteers face to face. You will also create and deliver an annual volunteer recruitment plan to grow numbers of volunteers in dedicated roles.
About You
As a Community Fundraiser you will be an incredible relationship builder with good communication skills. Although it is desirable you will have had some experience in the Charity sector, we are also open to people with transferable skills who would love to start a career in fundraising. Working towards targets is also desirable.
