We are Fair4All Finance. We are a not-for-profit organisation working with Financial Services providers to improve the financial wellbeing of people in vulnerable circumstances by increasing access to fair, affordable and appropriate financial products and services.

With additional dormant assets funding now secured, we're expanding our work – and we’re looking for two Associate Directors – Investment to help us deliver it.

The roles

These are brilliant opportunities to play a key part in transforming financial inclusion across the UK. As one of our Associate Directors specialising in Investments, you'll be a senior member of our Investment team, responsible for originating, executing and managing a growing portfolio of social investments.

You'll work with a range of mission-driven commercial lenders and community finance providers, helping to build sustainable, scalable solutions for underserved communities.

We’re hiring two roles at the same level with shared responsibilities across a number of exciting areas relating to our newly awarded Guarantee fund.

We’re looking for talented investment professionals who share our mission and bring strong commercial acumen, structured thinking, and the ability to manage end-to-end investment processes.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead origination, due diligence, structuring and execution of social investments into mission-aligned commercial lenders and community finance organisations

· Manage a portfolio of investments, including monitoring financial and social impact performance, reforecasting, and supporting investee governance

· Build and maintain strong relationships with mainstream banks, credit funds and aligned investors to crowd in commercial capital

· Play a leading role in shaping either our Guarantee Fund or our investment support for pilots and new products

· Contribute to strategic initiatives across the organisation, and support and mentor junior colleagues

· Represent Fair4All Finance at events, with stakeholders and in working groups

Essential experience & qualifications:

· Significant investment experience – this could be from social investment, banking, private equity or another relevant sector

· Strong financial modelling, commercial analysis and deal execution skills

· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement experience, especially with senior leaders

· Evidence of building collaborative partnerships and leading teams or projects

· A commitment to our mission and an understanding of the impact of financial exclusion

Desirable experience

· Experience investing in social fintechs, consumer credit or early-stage ventures

· Experience working with community finance providers (e.g. credit unions, CDFIs)

· Commercial fundraising or regulated fund management experience

· Familiarity with policy and systems-change initiatives, especially around financial inclusion

About the role

As Head of External Affairs, you will lead a team of seven and set the strategic direction for our external affairs function. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring our media relations, public affairs, and stakeholder engagement activities enhance the Health Foundation’s reputation, support our strategic objectives, and position us as a leading voice in health and care policy.

As a senior member of the Communications team, you will be responsible for contributing to the leadership and smooth running of the Communications team, as well as providing advice to senior staff and colleagues across the Foundation. In this role, you will:

• Lead the external affairs team, providing direction, motivation, performance management and development for team members and working with them to develop a vision for first class external affairs at the Foundation.

Our team, Board, volunteers and partners are UK-wide and so meetings and events are held regularly in London and across the country. You will report to the CEO and line manage the Finance Officer. As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will regularly collaborate with our Board of trustees and, particularly, the Chair and members of the Finance & Audit Committee.

Some core hours will be required but a degree of flexible working will be possible. Some travel will be expected in order to attend in-person meetings. The Trust is committed to each team member’s professional development and offers regular opportunities to undertake formal and informal training.

ABOUT THE ROLE 

This role builds on the work of our Feminist Green New Deal  project. The Feminist Green New Deal puts the needs and priorities of women, racialised and marginalised groups at the heart of all climate policy and action and advocates for a care-led green recovery from our multiple crises of climate breakdown and inequality. The role will continue to develop our Feminist Green New Deal work engaging new audiences, stakeholders and writing new policy papers. 

As a Feminist Climate Justice Policy Campaigner you will make connections with policy makers, government departments, NGOs and influencers, bringing an intersectional feminist lens to these spaces. You will need to keep up to speed with UK climate policies and how these impact women. 

Wen works at the grassroots and policy level ensuring that grassroots perspectives are part of and shape climate policy making so a key part of the role will be linking these two levels.  You will work closely with our Climate Sisters  programme and the Tower Hamlets Food Partnership which inform our Feminist Green New Deal policy asks and campaigns, advocating for inclusive climate policy rooted in the priorities of women,  particularly racialised and marginalised groups.  We are looking to recruit a policy campaigner with in-depth  knowledge of the policy systems and strategic thinking about how to advocate for feminist climate justice at local, regional and national level in the UK working in collaboration with others.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Key responsibilities:

• Bring an intersectional feminist climate justice lens to policy makers and debates with a focus on climate, health, food justice and environmental policies

• Work collaboratively with Wen’s Climate Sisters team to make strong connections between the grassroots and policy, drafting and devising policy responses to influence government climate policy

• Develop strategic partnerships and relationships with MPs, government departments, All Party Parliamentary Groups (APPGs), Ministers, Select Committees and key organisations in this field

• Submit evidence to Select Committee reports, inquiries and input into draft bills

• Actively engage with civil society movements around climate justice and policy

• Produce a variety of resources on the issues such as policy briefings, blogs, social media posts and talks

• Campaign on relevant policy debates on social media and other media working with the Wen comms team and influencers to communicate the issues to a wide range of audiences

• Identify, monitor, and evaluate policy issues appropriate to Wen 

• Travel and attend related policy work meetings, events and workshops as agreed 

Wen specific tasks

• Carry out all tasks in accordance with Wen’s Equal Opportunities Policy. 

• Work closely with Wen's campaigns and projects to further Feminist Climate Justice work.

• Ensure all monitoring and evaluation is completed for funders and for internal Wen purposes.  

• Ensure active promotion of an intersectional feminist approach in the campaign and contribute to this goal within Wen. 

• Share in general duties at Wen as necessary. 

Required skills and competencies:

• Ability to understand and advocate for feminist climate justice in relation to climate policy and communicate this persuasively to decision makers and a wide range of audiences

• Ability to develop and implement advocacy and campaigning strategies, working collaboratively with others.

• Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide diversity of external individuals, representatives, groups and bodies, including government, in order to deliver Wen’s objectives.

• Ability to research and write policy briefings and blogs with an intersectional feminist climate justice lens

• Advocating and understanding of the issues faced by marginalised and racialised women and communities in relation to environmental and climate policy

• Ability to identify and develop common ground with a diverse group of organisations and individuals working with a movement-focused approach

• Deal with correspondence, media and general enquiries and information requests as required.

Education and qualifications:

• Degree level qualification or equivalent work experience

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

• At least two years direct experience of policy, advocacy and campaigning on climate and social justice

• Experience of drafting policy briefs, blogs and social media engagement

• Extensive knowledge and understanding of intersectional feminist approaches to climate justice

• Experience of building effective collaborative relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders 

• Excellent written and oral communications skills; the ability to disseminate information to a wide range of audiences and across platforms 

• Self-motivated and able to work proactively, independently and flexibly 

• Experience of monitoring and evaluation and reporting to funders 

• Experience of taking an inclusive, intersectional approach in your work 

• Commitment to gender, racial and social justice through previous work or volunteering or lived experience.

• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Desirable

• Experience of working in women’s, environmental or charitable organisations or groups 

The Role

This is a key role within Revitalise Trust, to help meet our fundraising targets by effectively managing a UK portfolio of existing donors and sourcing and securing new ones. Collaborating closely with the Director of Fundraising & International Partnerships, you will build strong relationships with existing funders in the UK and source and build relationships with new donors. You will play an active role in the fundraising team & across the organisation contributing to an exceptional working environment.

The Key Responsibilities

• Help meet RT and LYN fundraising targets, by:

1. Securing income streams from new UK donors, including through Grants & Trust income and individuals, through researching, approaching, and applying, and
2. Developing strong working relationships with existing UK donors, seeking opportunities for deeper partnerships and securing on-going giving where possible.

• Carry out insightful and informative research on new UK opportunities, and create impactful engagement strategies for potential new donors,

• Produce high quality, professionally written proposals, and application forms, which ensure the highest possibility of securing new funds.

• Produce timely, insightful, and impactful monitoring reports in accordance with donor requirements.

• Identify engagement opportunities to keep UK donors updated and informed on our work, including full or partial responsibility for our three key events each year: Experience Revitalise, Celebrate Revitalise, and Introduce Revitalise.
• Manage a small team in delivering the above.

The Right Candidate

• Significant fundraising experience, or a similar environment in raising funds to support an initiative, bringing in c. £2-3m in funds a year, including new funding.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, able to write excellent briefs and build highly effective relationships internally and externally with donors.
• Proactive, organised and solution focussed with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Experience of successfully leading a team and delivering a strategy.
• Able to accept responsibility for personal and wider team targets.
• Confident with MS Office and CRM Databases.

Interim Deputy Finance Director (Financial Accounting & Operations)

A leading London-based higher education institution is seeking an Interim Deputy Finance Director to provide short-term leadership and oversight of its core finance operations, financial accounting, and compliance functions.

We require a hands-on, technically strong finance professional who can ensure the smooth running of day-to-day financial processes, team management, and statutory compliance.

You will report to the Director of Finance & Procurement and manage a team of 13 via four direct reports. This is an ideal assignment for someone with experience, supporting audits, and ensuring financial controls are embedded and working.

About You

• CCAB-qualified accountant with significant post-qualification experience
• Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting, controls, and compliance
• Proven experience managing finance teams in a complex, regulated environment
• Confident in liaising with auditors, banks, and external advisers
• Comfortable working hands-on to resolve operational issues and ensure process continuity
• Available at short notice and able to quickly integrate into an existing finance function

A mission-driven and impact focused single programme NGO is seeking a Finance Business Partner with strong financial modelling skills for a part-time, fully remote fixed term contract for approximately 4-6 months. The role is to support the Finance Director, HR team, CEO and other stakeholders with business partnering, along with specific financial modelling projects.

The organisation’s mission is to get 3-6 year old children in rural Africa to thrive. They have developed an award-winning Early Childhood Development programme, proven its impact through rigorous evaluation, and scaled it with governments in both Ghana and Uganda. It is currently reaching over 300,000 children per year, and we aim to reach 1 million children per year by 2028. The programme benefits both preschool age children and unlocks the potential of marginalised rural parents.

You will work in a busy finance team based in the UK, Ghana and Uganda. The role can be done fully-remotely from within the UK, and the salary range on offer is circa £50,000 - £60,000 FTE (pro-rata). It is anticipated there will be around 2-3 days work per week for approximately 4-6 months.

Experience within a business partnering / modelling role within the NGO sector would be very useful, but is not essential.

Duties include:

• Work focused on adaptions for new contexts: The programme targets rural communities in Ghana and Uganda. This year the organisation plans to scale to a new country and to test ways to adapt it for this new context. They are also keen to explore whether the programme can be adapted for refugee settings.
• Financial modelling focused on selecting a new country to launch the programme
• Specific cost modelling and fundraising modelling around the corporate sponsorship of the organisation’s radio station project

• Develop and strengthen robust and flexible cost models (including sensitivity analyses/stress testing) to guide decisions around the pace and rate of scale, staffing & resource requirements (HR), ensure value for money and maximise cost efficiencies.
• Develop robust budgets for new and renewal funder applications, considering complexities around funder restrictions, currency exchange and forecast economic conditions.
• Analysis and modelling on organisational procedures & policies and capacity building projects

Requirements:

• Fully or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience with finance business partnering to a range of stakeholders
• Strong financial modelling skills – ideally in things such as cost analysis, funding analysis etc
• Intermediate/advanced Excel and strong data analysis skills
• An understanding of international charity finance - donor reporting, programmes finance, foreign currency transactions is useful
• Experience juggling multiple projects at once
• Must be able to start the role quickly - ideally immediately available or with a short notice period
