The newly created role of Federation Development Lead will sit within the Partnerships and Federation Development directorate, to support the delivery of key charity and federation-wide objectives, as part of our mission to empower people affected by homelessness and poverty to change their lives for the better while using our voice to achieve social change.
The principal responsibility will be to support our ambition to become a best practice national body, responsible for leading on and supporting the development of key projects within Emmaus UK and the wider federation.

The role will also provide a critical role in the implementation and delivery of Emmaus UK’s ambitious plans to seek registration as a provider of social housing. As the Federation Development Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and development of the Emmaus movement within the UK, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting the overall success of the federation. Role Mission.
I am here to lead Scotty’s outreach to bereaved military families — helping more people find, trust, and access our support by creating a visible, welcoming, and engaged community.
I am accountable for:
- Developing and delivering Scotty’s Outreach strategy, aligned with the charity’s long-term vision and growth targets.
- Leading the development of a new in-house team, ensuring strong performance, alignment, and support across all outreach activities.

Our partner, an established UK charity with a focus on fighting poverty by transforming access to health care services in lower- and middle-income countries in Africa seeks a highly dynamic individual for a one-year fixed-term contract, with the possibility of an extension. •Prepare for the annual external audit and host auditors ensuring the audit process runs smoothly. This includes supporting Vision Action’s country offices in hosting their respective audits.
•Ensure annual statutory accounts are finalised and submitted to Companies House and the Charity Commission by the appropriate deadlines.
Management accounting
•Coordinate the month-end process with the Finance Officer (UK) and Programme Finance Lead, and review transaction postings.
•Prepare monthly management accounts with cash flow forecasts, modifying the format as needed to suit the preferences of senior management and the Board of Trustees.
•Prepare the annual organisational budget and mid-year reforecast.
•Improve existing budget templates to enable straightforward and transparent budgeting for donors.
Support to country offices
•Collaborate with the Programme Finance Lead on a monthly basis to reconcile intercompany accounts, ensuring that reconciling items are cleared promptly.
•Support country office teams in fulfilling any reporting and financial compliance requirements.
•Conduct internal process reviews (internal audits) of country offices where required.
•Review the bi-weekly payment runs for the UK office and the monthly country office fund requests, ensuring cash flow planning is in place for these payments.
•Ensure asset registers are maintained appropriately.
Administration
•Support staff in conducting procurement in line with our procurement policy.
•Assist with preparation for quarterly Board meetings.

You’ll be rallying resources which will ultimately help us grow our impact for wild orangutans and the people living alongside them.
The Role
As Head of Individual Giving & Supporter Engagement, you’ll lead the strategic development and delivery of SOS’s public fundraising portfolio – inspiring individuals around the world to take action and give generously for the future of Sumatra’s rainforests and wildlife.
You’ll be responsible for individual giving, digital acquisition and retention, legacies, appeals and campaigns, and supporter events. You’ll be given the freedom to innovate, identifying and developing new income streams and engagement products and approaches that help us reach and inspire new audiences.
We’re particularly interested in candidates with strong acquisition experience, who can help us grow and diversify our supporter base.
Reporting to the CEO, you’ll work closely with communications, partnerships, and programmes colleagues to build an engaged community of supporters and advocates for SOS.

Leadership & Strategy

Digital Fundraising

Lead on digital acquisition strategy and performance, testing and optimising paid and organic campaigns to grow SOS’s online giving and supporter base.

Legacies & Events

Develop and implement SOS’s legacy marketing strategy, raising awareness and nurturing pledgers and enquirers with care and authenticity.

Collaboration & Management

Line manage the Development Assistant, ensuring that our supporters receive outstanding stewardship.

Work closely with colleagues across Development, Communications, and Programmes to ensure a joined-up approach to engagement, conversion, and storytelling.

Keep up to date with sector trends, digital innovations, and regulatory requirements, ensuring compliance and best practice in all fundraising activity.
About You

Essential:
