Job summary
The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.
RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. They happen across the UK and around the world, both online and in person. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.
The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.
Main responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the meetings and events programme, achieving its financial and other goals and KPIs under the existing strategy
- Overall responsibility for the delivery of the events with a focus on expanding global reach, supporting careers, and improving the financial position
- Manage events from conception to completion - delivering events to the highest standard to meet their objectives of success – quality and cost effectiveness
- Attend the Meetings and Events Committee, optimising meetings including helping set the agendas, leading discussions, writing minutes, liaising with the Chair

You will be working as part of a well-established team of colleagues, within the department and organisation. The Role
Oversee and manage the implementation of a developing and ambitious individual giving programme that seeks to engage more arts lovers, recruits new donors (including regular givers), and retains and develops existing supporters.
Manage direct reports and teams responsible for individual/regular/in memory giving, community fundraising, supporter engagement, and trading income, promoting a culture of collaboration.

The Candidate
Strong experience of delivering fundraising work plans to achieve against set income targets across all areas of responsibility (i.e., public donations, member schemes, community fundraising).
Significant experience of effective line-management and of managing fundraising teams.
Experience of donor audiences, supporter journeys and fundraising programme insight to take an audience-led approach to delivering fundraising campaigns.

The successful candidate will have:
- Completed a professional accounting qualification or be part-qualified with relevant professional experience.
- Experience of strategic partnering senior stakeholders (ideally at Executive Director level) along with senior leadership teams.
- Ability to analyse large quantities of data with a view to identifying trends and key drivers.
- Adaptability to build effective working relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues and work in a collaborative way.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Experience of managing finances within a fundraising directorate (Desirable).

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Project Lead to manage and collaborate with an external development/implementation partner and coordinate the smooth adoption of Salesforce within the Charity. This critical role will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, from planning and requirements gathering to execution, testing, training, and post-implementation support. Purpose of Role
The Digital Fundraising Growth Manager will manage our digital paid media planning and delivery, driving audience engagement at all stages of the marketing funnel, specifically with the aim of delivering growth in our supporter base and income.

1. Working closely with the Head of Sport, exemplary management of identified areas of ParalympicsGB’s Games Services strategy and associated programmes, people and partnerships
2. Excellence in delivery of identified core services including qualification and selection processes, accrediting the team, entering the team and managing team data
3. Provision of world class advice and support to all Paralympic sports which contributes positively to a best prepared team at each Paralympic Games
4. Provision of other input and support as a member of ParalympicsGB’s team support in the creation and delivery of an optimal Games-time environments
Games-time Role(s) All Games-time roles will be discussed and agreed for each Paralympic Games and will be dependent upon structure and delivery requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES IN DETAIL:
Sport Directorate
To support the on-going management of a cohesive and collaborative Sport Team environment which proactively embraces cross directorate / partnership working, additionally to:
- Project management of ParalympicsGB’s Games Services Strategy within the Sport Directorate
- Provide regular updates to the Head of Sport regarding the implementation of the ParalympicsGB’s Games Services Strategy; identifying and communicating potential and actual risks in a timely manner
- Proactively identify and develop key strategic performance partnerships both within the UK and overseas to support delivery of organisational objectives
- Deputise for the Head of Sport in his / her absence at key meetings and activities on an agreed basis
- Support to the Director of Sport and Head of Sport in delivering identified organisational objectives
Games Services Strategy
Responsible for the management and effective delivery of identified elements of ParalympicsGB’s Games Services Strategy including:
- Management of team data and the development of ParalympicsGB Base, including budget management.
- Management of team qualification including performance and qualification tracking and reporting.
- Management of selecting the team including support to all Paralympic sports with selection policies and processes.
- Management of accrediting the team for the ParalympicsGB delegation, including collaboration with Games Operations in updating the Delegation Overview.
- Management of entering the team including sport entries and liaison with National Governing Bodies and the Organising Committee.
- Management of the Qualification and Selection Panel.
Team Development Strategy:
Provide support to the Director of Sport and the Head of Athlete Services for the following aspects of ParalympicsGB’s team development strategy:
- Support the design of the ParalympicsGB team development strategy and lead on elements of programme delivery
- Support the ParalympicsGB team Games recruitment project
- Lead the planning group for Team Development Programmes, including event and budget management
- Lead the Team Member’s Agreement Working Group, including collaborative work with our legal partners.
- Support delivery of the Team Leader Journey including workshops and induction programmes.
Miscellaneous:
- To work collaboratively with Paralympic sports, UK Sport, Home Country Sports Institutes, British Olympic Association and other partners to ensure coherence in positioning, approach and impact of the Games Services Strategy and Games-specific services and support
- To ensure effective processes of monitoring, evaluation and quality control, and the observation of key performance indicators across all responsibility areas
- To support colleagues within ParalympicsGB across all areas of the Championing Change strategy, as reasonably required by the Director of Sport
- To attend all meetings, workshops and seminars, whether internal or external, regional, national or overseas, which are reasonably deemed to be relevant to the fulfilment of the demands and responsibilities of the role
- To fulfil any other agreed duties as required by the Director of Sport and / or Head of Sport
