This is an exciting opportunity to work for a Queen’s Award winning charity supporting unpaid carers in the London borough of Redbridge. You will give advice and information to carers and work closely with them to develop person centred support plans. You will work within a Community Support Team to deliver peer support groups, wellbeing activities, advice surgeries, outreach and events across the borough.
If you have experience of 1-1 support work and of providing advice and information, particularly around welfare benefits, this could be the perfect role for you. We are looking for someone with an understanding of carers issues and experience of working with people from diverse communities. This is a varied and demanding role requiring good communication and time management skills and a common sense approach to helping others. Your skills and experience will make a positive difference to the lives of carers and their families.
This is a part time 21 hour per week post mainly based in Ilford with some community outreach and home working.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced ERP Programme Director to lead the successful delivery of MSI’s global finance and supply chain transformation programme. This programme will transform our capabilities and delivery across MSI’s 37 Country Programmes and Global Support Office (GSO) with the introduction of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) technology, driving us forward to deliver our vital mission.
The Director will shape the overall programme from the outset, so that it is set up for success. The successful candidate will need deep transformation and ERP experience, delivering full ERP programme lifecycles in complex organisations like MSI. For the programme to be successful, building strong relationships with key stakeholders across MSI’s Country Programmes, Regional and Global Support Offices will be crucial.
The transformation programme has been approved and is currently at the inception stage, giving the ERP Programme Director the opportunity to make key strategic decisions that will shape the programme; such as the selection of an ERP technology solution best suited to MSI’s business requirements, appointing and onboarding a third-party implementation partner and to design and recruit the internal project team required to ensure success of the programme.
We anticipate a 3-year programme cycle with occasional international travel to MSI country programmes as required for the successful delivery of the programme.

To succeed in this role, it is essential that you have the following experience:
- Successfully delivered 8+ full-lifecycle ERP implementations in medium to large international enterprises. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not essential.
- Strong track record in strategic transformation, change leadership and programme management delivering large programmes that have resulted in transformational change in the Finance and Supply Chain domain.
- Experience of overseeing complex multi-million pound programme budgets.
- International NGO and/or healthcare sector experience preferred but not essential.
- Experience driving operational efficiency in finance and supply Chain and implementing a framework for process standardisation and improvement.
- Experience delivering finance transformations involving shared service operating models.
- Extensive ERP vendor / system implementor contract management experience.
Formal Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field expected, but we’d welcome applications from candidates with equivalent experience
- MSP, PMP or other relevant project or programme management certification expected
- Supply chain, logistics, or accounting certification preferred but not required

Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, IBIS House supports people who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient stays but have other barriers to discharge. These may include housing, living skills, accessing benefits or the community, or other interventions and will be on a person-centred basis. The main aim of the service is to provide short-term support to customers to link with longer-term services to reduce escalations in need, and reduce inpatient readmission and reduce pressure on inpatient beds.

What you'll do:
* Assessing referrals received by the service, within the 4-hour target, and providing rapid response to these.
* Inducting new customers, and helping orient them to the community and local area
* Completing/supporting housing referrals as required, supporting customers with budgeting tools and providing support to customers in accessing any benefits or addressing any issues such as benefits.
* Building a relationship with the local borough and any key agencies. For example: no recourse to public funds teams, homelessness teams, community mental health teams etc.
* Support planning, including ward management liaison, medication profiles and medication reviews as required, identifying the goals and steps to support customers to manage their own support and risk and ensuring these are correctly documented within Look Ahead's paperwork.

You will:

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive supporter engagement strategy to bolster our supporter base and enhance engagement levels.
- Curate a tailored stewardship journey for major donors and legacy pledges, providing personalised communications and resources to foster continued support.

About You
- Minimum of three years of experience in the charity or third sector.

As a Support Worker you will be expected to enable and support vulnerable individuals with complex needs to address this while maintaining their tenancy with the long term goal of living in an independent setting by providing flexible and individually tailored support package. Working with excluded and hard to reach customers can be challenging, however, with intensive support this challenge can be broken. You will need to be able to engage our customers in a non-judgmental way. You will also be responsible for dealing with emergencies that may arise during your shift whilst remaining calm and using initiative then writing up incident reports amongst other administrative tasks.
As a support worker, you will be working as part of a team as well as with external agencies such as London Probation Service, local substance misuse services, Mental health teams, and police amongst others. Sometimes customers may not be linked in with agencies when they entre the service, as a support worker it is part of your role to ensure they are receiving the correct support from agencies required. Ideally, you will have experience of working with vulnerable people or an understanding of the needs of homelessness. You will be required to support customers with managing their arrears; ensuring housing benefit is applied for as well as monitoring payments and acting appropriately if payments are suspended in order to ensure customer does not fall into any arrears.
You will be responsible for supporting the working shift pattern of the service which is a five week rolling rota which consists of working some weekends as well as long days.
There will be a rota for shifts, with working patterns of 7:30-15:30 and 12:30-20:30. There will be some weekend work.
This role requires a valid Right to Work for the UK as Look Ahead are not a sponsoring organisation.
What you'll do:
Work proactively with Slough Hostel team to handle the service caseload and support an effective team approach to meeting each customer's identified needs.
Motivate the team and champion a positive local culture within the service.
Contribute to a positive service environment, ensuring the service is supportive and a place of safety and stability for customers. This includes working flexibly and being proactively in delivering, reviewing and arranging effective support for emerging needs and risks in order to prevent escalating concerns.
Deliver all aspects of support to enable a customer to develop independent living skills as appropriate to the individual needs of the customer. This may include practical tasks, such a facilitating group actives
Support customers to undertake domestic tasks, including practical assistance to ensure a high quality living environment that promotes customers' dignity, respect and allows customers to feel safe and welcome in their own home.
Participate in support planning, risk management and assessment of needs in line with support planning.
Work with customers to promote social inclusion to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices.
Involve customers in the design, development and delivery of the service through co-production.
Report and react to any observations relating to customers welfare.
Proactive development of links with local statutory and voluntary organizations to provide a range of engagement opportunities for customers in the community.
Competent use of relevant systems, company policies and frameworks.
Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care & Support plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements.
Carry out other duties commensurate with the designated role level, as may be deemed reasonable by Look Ahead including working at an alternative patch, if such a need arises.

About You:
To be successful as the Young Persons Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
The post holder will have proven experience of working with children and young people and may have a background in youth work. They will have an excellent understanding of violence against women and girls, risk management and of best practice within the young people’s sector. As an experienced youth worker who has worked with young women and girls with complex and multiple needs, the post holder will be skilled in risk management and safety and support planning, remaining calm in a crisis and in handling sensitive information on a daily basis.
Experience of direct work with young women and girls who have experienced abuse, and of working within safeguarding procedures is essential for this post, as is the need to adopt and promote a strong partnership approach to service provision.

Lambeth Step Forward Recovery Cluster is an accommodation based service, set across Lambeth including hub sites situated in Brixton and West Norwood. The service provides care and support to over 60 customers living with enduring long term mental health. We also provide a service for two short-term post hospital discharge schemes for customers, who need support following hospital admission.
The role of our Support Worker play's a crucial role in fulfilling our customers expectations, making a positive difference and where appropriate supporting customers to step down to a lower level of support. Our Support Worker's are guided and mentored by 2 team leaders alongside a Contract Manager and as part of the team you will be developing and sustaining a good quality service to all our customers.
