Are you a relationship-driven professional with a passion for member engagement and equestrian education?

Charity People are delighted to be supporting a national membership organisation that champions high standards in equestrian education and riding school operations. With a strong focus on safeguarding, training, and inclusive access to riding, this organisation plays a vital role in supporting riding centres across the UK.

About the Role

As Membership Manager, you'll lead a small team and be responsible for delivering excellent service to ABRS+ members. You'll manage the full membership lifecycle, from onboarding and renewals to safeguarding coordination and member communications. You'll also play a key role in promoting ABRS+ to prospective members, supporting events, and contributing to marketing and policy development.

This is a varied and hands-on role that combines customer service, administration, and strategic thinking. You'll work closely with the Chair, Trustees, and colleagues across development and training to ensure members receive timely support and access to the full range of benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead membership service delivery and manage member records
  • Coordinate safeguarding training and certificate distribution
  • Promote ABRS+ benefits and grow membership
  • Organise events including the AGM, training sessions, and workshops
  • Support marketing, newsletters, and website updates
  • Liaise with affiliated bodies and support governance administration
  • Maintain policies and support the Board of Trustees

About You

We're looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, who thrives in a collaborative environment. You'll be confident managing multiple priorities, building relationships, and delivering high-quality service. A background in membership, customer service, or charity administration would be ideal.

  • Strong client relationship and customer service skills
  • IT literate (CRM, spreadsheets, email, Word)
  • Basic finance and governance knowledge
  • Experience in event coordination and policy administration
  • Passion for equestrian education or the charity sector (desirable)

How to Apply

Please send your CV as soon as possible, the applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

We want you to have every opportunity to demonstrate your skills, ability, and potential. Please let us know if you require any assistance or adjustments to ensure the application process works for you.

Charity People is a forward thinking, inclusive organisation that actively and deliberately promotes equity, diversity and inclusion. We know organisations thrive when inclusion is at the forefront. We evidence our commitment by matching charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates irrespective of background e.g. age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we believe that greater diversity leads to greater results for the charities we work with.
