Planning Aid for London (PAL) is looking for two new trustees to help us deliver our ambitious five-year strategic plan.

We are entering an exciting new phase of growth as we work to become financially sustainable and expand our reach. We are especially keen to hear from applicants with experience in communications, fundraising, charity finance, and volunteer-led service delivery.

The role is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping residents to have a voice in planning the future of their neighbourhoods and who enjoys working collaboratively with other trustees to make that happen.

As a trustee, your role will involve

• Overseeing and contributing to the implementation of our five-year strategic plan
• Offering an external perspective and constructive challenge
• Provide insight, challenge, and constructive support to the staff and volunteer team
• Champion PAL’s mission and help us grow our impact

You don’t need previous board experience, we’ll provide induction and support to help you succeed.

Time Commitments

• The Board meets every 6 weeks (usually online, from 6.00-7.30pm)
• There may be occasional ad-hoc meetings, agreed in advance with the Board separately
• Trustees are also invited to attend the AGM and occasional outreach events. We aim to keep meetings accessible and flexible.
• Additional hours may be required as part of fulfilling the role

The role:

The Events team at Bi Pride UK is one of the core operational teams within the charity. The team handles programming, production and execution of our events, including our annual flagship Bi Pride event, which holds the record for the largest Bi Pride event in the world. This role will sit within the Events Administration sub-team, who are responsible for organising and performing administrative tasks to support the Events team to deliver smooth and highly successful events. 

We are looking for a motivated and highly organised Main Stage Administrator to support the smooth operational production of Bi Pride 2026. The Main Stage Administrator will work closely with the Main Stage sub-team, who are responsible for our largest stage at Bi Pride, which hosts performances from musicians, drag artists, cabaret performers, comedians and many more fantastic artists. This role will provide dedicated administrative support to the Main Stage Manager and Assistant Managers, as well as working with volunteers across the Events Team and wider charity. The holder of this role will join a supportive team and contribute to defining and improving the internal processes involved in producing Bi Pride 2026.

Key tasks of this role will include: 

• Working closely with the Main Stage Manager and Main Stage Assistant Managers to ensure efficient organisation of the administrative activity relating to the Main Stage;

• Monitoring a shared Main Stage sub-team email inbox, including answering queries and escalating emails to the appropriate internal volunteer as required;

• Facilitating and tracking the completion of performer and host contracts, and maintaining accurate record keeping of the documentation;

• Receiving invoices from performers and hosts, maintaining accurate record keeping of these documents and sharing documentation with the Finance team to process payments;

• Liaising with the Main Stage sub-team and the performers and hosts to gather required biographical information, performance information and headshots, and sharing this information with the Media & Comms team in a timely manner for the production of Event related assets and promotional materials;

Our team volunteers remotely from anywhere in the UK, with some travel required occasionally (primarily for our flagship Pride event in London in August). All reasonable expenses incurred are reimbursed, including travel, lunch at away days and other all day events, and some childcare costs if required. The VP's role is to aid the president with all of their responsibilities in overseeing the chapter. VP might help run the chapter and become responsible for some activities. Helping to coordinate their committee to ensure that all of the needs of the charity are met and the law, constitution and handbook are not broken.

This role is important in order to have a smooth running chapter, so that the magic of our visits are at their full potential! We are searching for a enthusiastic and hard working volunteer to support the President in London!

IHF is a global NGO dedicated to providing quality education and support to children and communities in need. Our mission is to make a positive impact through education, volunteerism, and humanitarian efforts.

 Role: Quality Control Team Member (Volunteer)

Responsibilities:

- Monitor and evaluate the quality of training provided to all IHF members.

- Ensure that active members receive comprehensive and effective training.

- Collaborate with the HR team to identify and address training needs and improvements.

- Maintain accurate records of training sessions and assessments.

- Provide feedback and recommendations for enhancing training programs.

Requirements:

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Experience or interest in Human Resources (HR) is a plus.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- Commitment to IHF’s mission and values.

- Ability to dedicate a few hours per week to this volunteer role.

Who are we looking for?

At present we are working to secure funding that will see us through our first year, and the role will be an important part of the organisation's growth and ability to obtain funding for specific areas of work by ensuring people who volunteer or engage with Living Reasons receive a high level of training and development.

As an organisation, Living Reasons believe that your individual skills are more important than experience. With this in mind, this role would suit someone who enjoys helping, engaging and passing on knowledge as well as researching and creating new ways of communicating with people, whether you have experience in learning and development is not important as they are skills that can be built on and are able to grow with the organisation.

What is the plan?

The person who is starting the charity up is autistic, has ADHD, CPTSD and also multiple physical conditions that effect daily life and is part of the LGBTQ+ community and has faced a lot of issues in life because of these things.

Living Reasons is being created to fix what we think is a challenging situation that is getting harder to achieve every week, month and year in the current economic, political, environmental and societal landscape. It is not easily defined but we hope the charity objects below will help put context to what we want to achieve, what we can say is that below are the issues we are trying to address, how we do this will change as quickly as society does, but the issues we want to tackle are these:

1) Outdated and damaging employment practices

2) Accessibility to services

3) Limited employment, training and education opportunities

4) Lack of support during times of crisis or need

5) Lack of equity and agency for many people in society

6) Institutional discrimination that is not challenged

7) Abuse of the legal system at all levels

8) Abuse of power in government bodies

9) Poor access to healthcare

10)  Unequal treatment of many people in society by large corporations

11)  Assumptions made by wider society based on incorrect, outdated or discriminatory rhetoric that is used in daily life
