About Services and Partnerships

​This role sits within the services and partnerships directorate.

Our focus is on delivering practical guidance and support which matters most to charities and voluntary organisations across the UK. We do this through practical support, training, consultancy and by developing partnerships with funders and businesses which are committed to supporting the sector.

​Each year, we deliver hundreds of training courses on the topics that matter most to charities, reaching thousands of learners across England. Our work supports organisations of all sizes and has a wide-reaching impact across the charity sector. The insights we gain also inform and shape NCVO’s policy priorities.

The training team includes two Senior Training Officers and a Training Assistant, and is supported by colleagues in our Business Support team.

Working across schools, homes, and community venues, you will conduct psychological assessments, offer individual and group therapy, and collaborate with professionals to support complex cases. You will also provide consultation, training, and supervision to school staff and Wellbeing Practitioners, ensuring a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-aware approach.

What you’ll bring

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled mental health professional with a strong foundation in therapeutic interventions and a commitment to supporting children, young people, and families within a community-based setting. Essential qualification, experience and skills:

• Proven experience delivering evidence-based psychological interventions such as CBT, including a recognised qualification in a core profession of Clinical/Counselling Psychology, Family Therapy or other recognised background in child and adolescent mental health.
• Strong assessment and formulation skills, with the ability to manage complex cases and tailor support to individual needs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, particularly when working across schools, families, and multi-agency teams.
• Experience providing consultation, supervision, or training to professionals, ideally within educational or mental health settings.
• Cultural competence and a trauma-informed, neurodiversity-aware approach to working with diverse communities and safeguarding vulnerable individuals.

Key details

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week): usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible, subject to discussion and operational needs.

Salary: £46,800 per annum FTE, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.

I am working exclusively with a respected not-for-profit organisation who are currently in the market for a very proactive and experienced HR Administrator to join their HR team, working on a 6-month fixed-term contract with the view of potentially extending (via a fair and open process). You will be responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support to the HR team.

You will act as a first point of contact for HR related administrative queries and support the team with a wide variety of HR tasks. This will include recruitment support and candidate liaison, administration support for the learning and development programme, new starter onboarding, HR inbox management as well as arranging meetings, and providing light diary and administration support for the HR Director.

Key Duties

Administration and support

• As a member of the HR team, you will ensure that all administration activities which support the work of the HR team are managed in a proactive and efficient way.
• Support the daily proactive management of the HR inbox, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to respond and forward relevant emails to the HR team with follow-up actions if needed.
• Provide administrative support to the HR Director, which could include room booking, arranging meetings and other ad-hoc requests.

• Input data into the HR information system and other agreed systems such as address changes, holiday requests etc.

• Support the delivery of HR or L&D projects or events, including room bookings and catering administration

Recruitment Administration

• Support employment and recruitment administration, including liaison with employment agencies, candidates and hiring managers
• Prepare, review and amend letters and documents to support key HR activities, including employee onboarding, probation and induction.
• Conduct new starter HR inductions and support exit arrangements
• Ensure that the relevant HR activity checklists are up-to-date and stored correctly for each activity
• Maintain any trackers that support the HR team activities and be responsible for the consistent use and application of these as sources of accurate HR information.

Systems

• Support the team in the move towards two new HR platforms this year, and any additional administration around these projects.
• Maintain the HRIS system and Applicant Tracking System where appropriate
• Provide administration support for logging, reviewing and editing data requests within the HR Information system as well as new starter and leaver IT requests.

We are recruiting Finance Business Partners to support research teams and collaborate closely with the central finance team. In this role, you will be part of a research centre, working with budget holders and research leads to provide an effective and efficient financial service. Research funding comes from a mixture of grants/contracts from government, foundations, and (to a lesser extent) corporates.

Responsibilities will include producing regular quarterly forecasts and the annual budget, supporting project costing, overseeing financial management of research projects, and providing variance analysis. You will also collaborate on the production of management accounts, support financial accruals and income recognition, and contribute to the preparation of annual statutory accounts. Additionally, you will oversee auditing processes, ensure project reporting meets funding requirements, and support the implementation of a new finance system.

The Person

We are looking for an ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with experience in business partnering, financial project management, and setting budgets and forecasts. Experience in the charity/not-for-profit sector is advantageous, as is knowledge of different funders, philanthropic foundations, government departments, international organisations, businesses, and NGOs (grants and donor reporting). The ideal candidate will be able to present financial information clearly, work with accuracy and consistency, balance multiple deadlines, and have a proactive, self-motivating, and collaborative approach. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels are essential.

The Youth and Employability Senior Manager will oversee the successful delivery, development, and sustainability of the youth and employability department.
