We are looking for a Senior Outreach Worker post in North West locality of Westminster to oversee direct case work with families, to support particularly those families identified as being in the greatest need.

You will deliver family support through home visits and one to one meetings. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing reach and engagement to support participation in activities through the school holidays. You will be responsible for line managing a small team of Outreach Workers, including recruitment, supervisions / appraisals and day to day support of the team.

You will have experience of community and outreach work with diverse communities and of using a wide range of techniques to engage with isolated individuals and communities. You will have experience of line management of staff and/or volunteers. We are also looking for someone with good communication skills, both oral and written. You will have good networking skills and the ability to produce materials in a large range of formats for both families and professionals. Being able to speak/write Arabic is desirable.

The actual salary for 28 hours per week is £23,691.42 per annum.

Purpose

We are seeking an organisation and/or two individuals to deliver clinical supervision to Redthread youth workers and managers (in separate clinical groups) who are based in London and Birmingham in the context of trauma-informed practice so that they can undertake their roles safely and effectively.

About Redthread

Redthread is a multi award-winning charity with over 20 years experience of delivering pioneering youth work in hospitals and other health settings. We work across hospitals in London and Birmingham with 11-25 year olds who are affected by grooming, sexual and criminal exploitation, violence, emotional and physical harm, mental health issues, domestic violence and modern slavery. We also support children and young people in the online space to reduce the impacts of violence, and with those experiencing a range of health conditions, who are vulnerable and in need.

Our model is pioneering, and we train NHS staff so they are able to identify and better support children and young people affected by violence in health settings. We amplify the voices of children and young people and use our evidence and insights from working with them to adapt and innovate our work, support service improvement, and influence regional and national government.

About our team

We are a diverse organisation and it is critical that our staff have access to the right clinical supervisor to feel safe, reflect on their practice, and manage any work-related vicarious trauma.

1 Our team includes Youth Workers and Senior Youth Workers (20), Young Women’s Workers (3), Team Leaders (7), Managers and a VAWG Lead (5), and our Head Office staff. You will be responsible for providing clinical supervision to our hospital based staff and managers and may need to (on an ad hoc basis) support Head Office staff as and when required/upon request.

The Redthread model of Clinical Supervision

● Redthread acknowledges that its practitioners regularly encounter exposure to trauma/distress in their work with young people which has the potential for an increased risk of them experiencing compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma.

● The Redthread model of supervision acknowledges the emotional impact of our work on our practitioners/managers and provides time and tools to process feelings, build resilience, and practice self-care.

● Redthread supervision is trauma-informed and acts as reflective practice.

● Redthread provides fortnightly face-to-face group supervision and, upon request, 121 clinical supervision (either face to face or online) that takes place in a safe and consistent location and that enables a pause in practice.

● Clinical supervision is non-managerial support and is not case management.

Deliverables

● Create a safe space where open and transparent conversations can take place.

● Bring a supportive challenge to practitioners to enable them to think differently about their work and consider alternative perspectives.

● Be empathetic and consistent.

● Facilitate growth in practitioners and development of their practice.

● To provide 121 clinical supervision to staff (upon request).

● To provide fortnightly group clinical supervision to staff for up to 90 mins.

● Bi-monthly workshops on trending topics/themes.

2 ● To feedback on key themes and issues.

● To critically review if Redthread is embedding a Trauma Informed response within the organisation.

● Ad-hoc debrief and support to teams between supervision.

● Provide an immediate report of any significant wellbeing or safeguarding concerns for team members or young people to Redthread.

● Hold a bi-monthly catch up meeting with the Director to ensure lines of communication are open and dialogue is constant.

● Provide reasonable notice of any occasions when they will not be available on their regular day due to annual leave, other commitments, excluding emergencies.

● Report any concerns regarding Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Data Protection and Equal Opportunities to the Director.

● Maintain registration and accreditation with the appropriate professional regulator (British Psychological Society, British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).

● Confirmation of appropriate professional insurance for the role (copy of insurance policy to be provided)

● Maintain independent clinical supervision arrangements external to Redthread.

We are looking for someone with the confidence to develop a new support offer for Surrey. This new post offers the opportunity to work in the WiSE team in Surrey in an exciting new role which has two strands to it; providing targeted early intervention peer group sessions to young people (up to 25 years,) who have been identified by their educational placement as being vulnerable too sexual or criminal exploitation. The role also entails working alongside Education and other agencies to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls by creating and facilitating training to teachers of the PSHE curriculum in both Primary and Secondary schools in Surrey. The successful applicant will be supported in the role through Reflective Supervision Practice, along with regular one-to-ones. 

This role will be based out of a Police Station in Surrey, which can be discussed at interview. There will be frequent travel and it is essential you hold a current driving license and have access to your own car.

• We are expanding our provision, to offer drop in, open access community support to 10–18-year-olds across the county who need someone to talk to about their mental health in that moment. This space will offer timely support, in a person-centred, trauma informed way.

• To improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people experiencing mental health issues, including crisis presentations, in Hertfordshire.

About the Role:

The key purpose of this post is to be an integral member of staff delivering the Herts Haven Café service, facilitating drop-in mental health support for children and young people aged 10-18. As a practitioner you will meet the varying needs of the individual, as they present, meaning no day may look the same.

A person-centred approach will be maintained, and this role is pivotal to ensuring CYP have a warm and welcoming space to turn to. The Hammersmith and Fulham Rough Sleepers Assessment Hub oversees 20 beds in a 54 bed building located close to Earls Court station. The Hammersmith and Fulham outreach team can bring clients as a safe alternative to rough sleeping. At the Hub, clients will receive a thorough assessment of their needs and be supported with an offer of suitable accommodation to move into.

As an Assessment and Reconnection Worker, you will:

• Be part of a busy team environment working closely with those new to, or at risk of rough sleeping.

• Build and maintain effective relationships to support clients throughout their recovery.

DESCRIPTION

New Horizon provides a range of Youth Work opportunities for young people experiencing homelessness. One stream of work is our Jobs, Education and Training (JET) team. This is an exciting opportunity to join our enthusiastic youth team to support and empower children and young people to grow, achieve and thrive.The post would ideally suit a candidate with a youth work, coaching or mentoring background who can oversee a variety of activities such as team games, multi-sports and within our new IT suite. 

Experience of working with children and young people is essential and experience of working with boys and young men desirable.  We are seeking someone with a coaching or youth work qualification or someone willing to complete a qualification.

The Supporter Care Coordinator role sits within the Supporter Experience team, whose goal is to ensure that all Scope supporters, whether they are giving time, money, or voice, have the best experience each time they interact with us.

The role

The Supporter Care team is the first point of contact for all supporter and donor queries, so you will be at the frontline, engaging with a variety of people contacting Scope. The role of the Supporter Care Coordinator is to ensure that each of these people feels appreciated, informed, and satisfied after engaging with Scope, leaving them feeling valued and committed to giving their ongoing support.

You will:

· Be responsible for handling incoming queries from supporters, across telephone, email, and post, as well handling outbound supporter service calls and other communications.

· Process donations from different channels and sources, thanking supporters in a timely manner and maintaining good records of these actions.

· Report to the Supporter Care Team Leader, and sit within the wider Fundraising team.

· Work closely with colleagues across the directorate, providing support in key periods, and contributing to overall fundraising income goals and an improved supporter experience.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

· Is highly motivated, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

· Has experience working in a customer care or fundraising environment

· Enjoys working in a busy team

· Has a high level of attention to detail and exceptional communication skills.

· Is confident communicating directly with supporters and managing complex queries, all the while adhering to policies and procedures, and ensuring positive outcomes.

· Understands the charity sector and the invaluable role of our supporters and is therefore dedicated to providing the best supporter experience.

Each Youth Mentoring Practitioner’s primary purpose is to develop and deliver quality and safe 1-2-1 and small group personalised support for young people.

· Are comfortable working on their own or in a team.
