Resident Admissions Officer

We’re delighted to be supporting a highly regarded charity that provides exceptional residential and nursing care for older people. They’re now looking for a compassionate and organised Resident Admissions Officer to join their Resident Services team.

This is a key role responsible for ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and well-managed admissions process for new residents and their families — from the first enquiry through to move-in day.

The role

You’ll act as the first point of contact for all admission enquiries, liaising with residents, relatives, local authorities, and healthcare professionals to deliver a warm and professional service. You’ll manage the admissions database, prepare information packs, maintain waiting lists, and oversee pre-admission administration, ensuring everything runs seamlessly.

You’ll also support the wider Resident Services team — helping to create a positive experience for residents and families throughout their journey, and ensuring communication across clinical and non-clinical teams is timely and effective.

Commercial Financial Accountant

Are you an experienced financial professional? Pilgrims' Friend Society is expanding, and we need a Commercial Financial Accountant to work across the organisation with a Commercial mindset while aiming to achieve charitable impact. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Commercial Financial Accountant will be responsible for managing and completing relevant projects.

Job Purpose:

This role sits within Family for Every Child’s (Family) Sustainability team, providing comprehensive support for all aspects of financial management.  The Finance Officer will work closely with the Secretariat, providing a central support function for the Sustainability, Impact, and Innovation teams.  This role will support the International Finance Manager (IFM) in building an internal finance function and will work with Family’s outsourced financial service provider in the UK to transition support in-house, ensuring efficient income and expenditure processing, reconciliation and reporting.

This role includes study support to become a qualified accountant (ACCA) with the potential for role development linked to successful exam progression. Family offers a study leave policy of 10 days over a rolling 12 month period (pro rata for part time staff).

Scope and Limits of Authority:

The post holder is expected to organise their own day-to-day activities according to the overall priorities and timescales set, and to exercise sound judgement in many critical decision-making areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance administration

• Principal point of contact for staff and suppliers (purchasing, expenses and payments).

• Managing and organising the finance inbox, ensuring queries are answered in a timely manner and ensuring good supplier relations are maintained.

• Processing all invoices and expenses onto the accounting system, ensuring correct coding and allocation of costs.

• Preparation of domestic and international payment runs, ensuring international payments are compliant with local requirements and following up on any issues.

• Working closely with the Programme Officer to track the status of grants and ensure outgoing payments are received.

• Managing the prepaid cash cards and monthly sign off of spend, supporting staff with purchases and expenses, checking and updating expense claims prior to processing of payment.

Payroll

• Preparation of monthly UK payroll.  Working closely with the HR Officer to ensure all adjustments are processed.

• Preparation of monthly UK pension submissions within the required deadline.

• Processing all pension changes, including auto-enrolment and adjustments to contributions.

• Checking calculations for EOR and international payrolls.

• Preparation of monthly payroll allocation journals for review and approval by the IFM.

Financial budgeting and reporting

• Supporting and coordinating the budgeting process with the International Finance Manager and budget holders, updating the budget templates and checking the draft budget for accuracy and completeness.

• Supporting the production of monthly and quarterly financial reports and cash flows, reviewing trial balances prior to accounts consolidation, carrying out income reconciliation  review by the International Finance Manager, and completing sample checks of the financial reports.

• Supporting the preparation of the accounts for the annual audit and financial report

• Supporting the Impact team by reviewing project budgets, re-forecasts and financial reports prepared by members

Income processing and reporting

• Carrying out the income reconciliation between the Bank and Salesforce, working with the Database Officer and Analytics & Process Officer to ensure the necessary adjustments to the database are made.

• Ensuring income recognition is in line with accounting standards and preparing and uploading draft journals for recognition of income to Xero.

• Preparing and completing HMRC Gift Aid submission files, monitoring the Gift Aid debtor balance and receipts from HMRC

• Assisting the IG Finance Manager in administering and reporting on legacy income 

• Carrying out financial analysis and reports as needed for donor reporting, forecasting and financial modeling.

Cross Cover support

• HR:  Managing the monthly payroll process with the outsourced provider including provision of data, and checking reports and calculations, for UK payroll and all international payrolls

• HR: Maintaining day to day liaison with line managers and any outsourced payroll and employment providers (EOR).

• Fundraising:  Assisting the Supporter Care team with income processing, including regular payment processes

• Impact:  Assisting the Programme Officer with purchase orders and grant management as needed to cover periods of leave and heavier workloads (i.e. during events, etc…)

Self management

We lead strategic projects, put engagement into the heart of our campaigns and offer expert advice and analysis to teams across the organisation. Finance & HR Manager

STOP THE TRAFFIK prevents vulnerable communities from being recruited, trafficked, and exploited. Our targeted prevention efforts disrupt the criminal business of human trafficking, making it too high-risk and low-profit to be viable.

The Finance & HR Manager will sit within the Development Team to support the smooth and efficient operation of the charity. This role will assist in managing financial processes and lead on recruitment, HR policies, and people operations — helping to maintain a transparent, inclusive, and positive working environment.

This position is ideal for someone seeking part-time work who holds either a finance assistant qualification or an accountancy qualification. Candidates with a finance assistant background will work closely with the finance department of our parent organisation, Oasis, to manage accounts and financial operations. Those with full accountancy qualifications may take direct ownership of financial oversight.

Finance

· Support the Operations Officer to reconcile transactions, issue invoices, process payments, and file quarterly Gift Aid claims.

· Oversee and manage Xero, ensuring all transactions are accurately coded and financial reporting is transparent and up to date.

· Prepare regular cash flow statements, budgets, and financial position reports for the Senior Leadership Team to support data-driven decision-making.

· Actively monitor income and expenditure, making recommendations to ensure financial sustainability and strategic use of resources.

· Manage STOP THE TRAFFIK’s bank accounts, ensuring the safe handling and ethical investment of reserves.

· Produce quarterly financial papers for the Board of Trustees and lead on the annual audit process, preparing all necessary documentation for external auditors.

· Responsible for managing our internal legal sign-off process, and ensuring all legal requests are managed in an accurate and timely manner.

The Opportunity   

This role is central to shaping and delivering the Social Mobility Foundation’s media, public affairs, and campaigning work, alongside the Campaigns Manager. You will influence changemakers - including politicians and journalists - through strategic media, political, and social media interventions. You will also collaborate with our Young Campaigners to amplify their voices and co-create impactful campaigns with them that drive systemic change.

1. Helping to plan and deliver campaigns activity, both planned and reactive, including: 

• Organising campaign events e.g. Parliamentary receptions and communicating our campaigns online and on social media.

We're looking for someone a lttle bit special - someone who believes in the deep potential of children who are not thriving elsewhere in life and who has the experience, passion, energy and the drive to go the extra mile on these young people’s behalf.

The position is an exciting dual role:

1. Volunteering & People Manager (80% of workload)

You'll become a key cog at the heart ofFree to Be's management team, taking lead responsibility for volunteer and staff recruitment and retention, holding and delivering our volunteering strategy, launching a new training infrastructure through 2026-27, and heading up 'all things volunteering'. With one direct report, you'll aim to grow volunteer numbers year on year, ensure volunteers are well matched, and well supported, onto our residential projects, and lead on quality assurance, including volunteering standards concerns/grievances.  Alongside our Services, Operations and Fundraising Managers, you'll be a core management team member holding shared responsibility for the day to day running of an impactful and growing children's mental health and adventure charity and will work closely with our inspiring and supportive CEO to set longer-term key strategic goals underpinning Free to Be's future development.

2. Residential Project Lead Coordinator (20% of role)

Our residentials are fun, immersive, tiring (in all the right ways), impactful and inspiring. A core aspect of all Free to Be Kids staff's roles is leading circa 8-10 of our residential projects across each year - working on the ground with the children, leading the volunteers & staff team on project, and helping make the projects special, safe, and transformative for vulnerable young people, many of whom have damaged confidence, low self-worth, or other social-emotional needs. 

Attendance at approximately 8-10 five-six night residential projects per year outside London is a core component of this role. As a manager, you'd likely attend 8-10 residentials in year 1 to build familiarity with both the projects and our volunteer base, with this dropping to c.8 per year thereafter.

On offer to the right candidate:

Salary: Circa £38,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience.

Hours: Fulltime: 37.5 hours per week. Essential attendance on at c.8-10 residential projects a year.

Leave: 25 days per year, plus bank holidays and up to 13 additional pre-set discretionary reward days in September and during the Christmas period. A substantial perk of the role is potential to take up to 4 consecutive weeks off to travel each September.

Other benefits: 4% employer pension contribution paid on full base salary, rising by 1% per year of service, up to a maximum of 7%; hybrid working; office with great transport links; flexible working (outside core hours); employee reward scheme; tight-knit, fun, vibrant, cohesive staff team with great morale.

We're looking for someone who loves working with young people, as you'll be role modelling that commitment and energy to our volunteers and playing a leading role in holding our already thriving team culture. Volunteer Management or HR experience is a bonus, and capacity and personality to quickly pick that up is a must, but ultimately we're looking for the right organisational fit - someone who believes in what we do and wants to step up to join a management team working hard to deliver it. 

You’ll have the flexibility to work away from home on (up to) 10 five to six day residential projects per year. Ideally, you’ll also have experience of leading projects for children – whether residential or non-residential - for example as a teacher, or running groups in other settings. Experience of working on or leading residentials projects themselves is not required but may be an advantage.

We are a small, vibrant, 'can do', friendly staff team of 10, supported by a committed volunteer base of around 300.

About the Role

This exciting Fundraising and Engagement Officer role will be part of the Fundraising and Engagement team to ensure that the delivery of Mind BLMK’s current and future offer of fundraising and engagement are effectively delivered. As the Fundraising and Engagement Officer you will be responsible for supporting the growth of income across individual, major donors alongside community and corporate fundraising.

In this role you will be responsible for implementing and administrating fundraising and engagement activities, supporting inspiring campaigns, optimising stewardship and attending fundraising events.

As the Fundraising and Engagement Officer you will work closely with the fundraising and engagement team in the planning and development of fundraising initiatives. You will monitor and maintain donor and fundraising data in accordance with the organisations policies and procedures. You will be involved in the planning, implementation of PR, communications, media posting, newsletter, AGM and any other appropriate organisational priorities.

You will have a proactive approach in working well on own and in a team and engage with the wider population of Mind BLMK’s workforce and volunteers.
