About the Role

As an Arts Coordinator, you will design and deliver creative arts activities for young people, overseeing the programmes for the Arts and Crafts room, Dance/Drama studio, Film and Media room, and the Music Studio.

As well as this, you will also provide line management support, coaching and development for arts sessional workers in their areas. The Arts Coordinator is a delivery role, with a minimum of 55% of working hours spent face to face with young people.

The organisation gives 8–19 year-olds, (and up to 25 for young people with additional needs) affordable access to a broad range of sport, arts and employability services, designed to empower them to lead healthier, positive and more active lives – raising their aspirations for themselves and their community.

About You

With a qualification in Arts or Youth Work or relevant experience in a range of Arts mediums (ideally two or more, e.g., dance, music, photography, performing or creative arts), you will have experience of:

We have an opportunity to work on a new project as our Befriending Development Coordinator.

You will work closely with Greenwich residents aged 50 years + and other relevant stakeholders to enable a programme of services, events and activities which seek to improve their health and wellbeing. It will target those who are lonely, isolated, and living in disadvantaged parts of the borough.

Job Purpose: To support the CHS Alliance secretariat to ensure it delivers professional external events that meet the needs of our key audiences and advance our strategic goals, on time and within budget. Primary focus of this role will be the coordination and logistical management of the General Assembly in December 2024.

Background: The Events Coordinator role sits within the Network Engagement and Communications department and works closely with staff across the CHS Alliance, including those working on CHS outreach, HR/Governance and the Executive Director, on events organisation and delivery.

Main Responsibilities:

Event coordination

1. Coordinate the team and workplan to support smooth and timely delivery of key CHS Alliance events, with particular focus on the General Assembly (GA) taking place in Bangkok 5-6 December 2024.

2. Prepare and attend event working group meetings (e.g. set agenda, organise doodle polls, book conference rooms, take notes, etc.) 

3. Overseeing and updating the event workplan (e.g. gannt chart), flagging upcoming milestones and deadlines to event lead

Event logistics

4. Assist in identifying service providers by providing quotes and completing any other tasks requested by the line manager or event lead.

5. Procure supplies for event and ensure all material needed on site is prepared and up to date.

6. Follow up with the venues; liaise with the venue prior to, during and after the events.

7. Assist with all logistical aspects linked to catering, refreshments, room equipment (incl. audio visual), stationery, signs and identification (badges, etc.), and trip booking (hotels, flights, visa) where required, etc.

Communications & IT

8. Set up events on relevant platform (e.g. Zoom, CHS Alliance website)

9. Prepare and update registrations and participants’ lists

10.  Draft and send communication materials to participants, using software like Mailmerge or Mailchimp

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.

The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.  

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

About us: Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. About the role:

Sanctuary Schemes are multi-agency victim-centred initiatives that aim to enable households at risk of violence to remain safely in their own homes by installing a 'Sanctuary' in the home and through the provision of support to the household. As a Sanctuary Scheme Specialist, you will support the sanctuary service by carrying out comprehensive assessments of service users and their homes and helping providers to ensure safety improvements are made. Joining our fast-paced team and focusing on short-term activities, you will manage a caseload of survivors, ensuring they have access and encouraging their engagement. You will conduct comprehensive assessments of needs and risk for women experiencing domestic violence, carry out risk management, safety planning and support; and you will identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs.

To be successful you will bring the below experience and skills:

You will be experienced in initiating and managing support activities. You will have the ability to maintain project logs and collating log data. Proven experience in referring safeguarding cases to Social Care and MARAC and the ability to proactively assess the needs and safety of children involved and women at risk and have experience in advising women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies.

The purpose of the Senior Direct Marketing Officer’s role is to deliver and evolve the acquisition and retention strategy, inspiring the people of London to become long-term supporters of the Charity.

Community Support Worker

The Role

The Community Support Worker will be required to work alongside the full-time area Co-ordinators to support activities and groups and carry out one-to-one initial appointments for people residing in Surrey.

This will involve attending some groups in venues across the Surrey Downs area, to assist in the facilitation of groups to ensure they run safely and meet the needs of the clients.

The role will also involve supporting the full-time co-ordinators to complete initial appointments with new clients, including the completion of recovery stars and plans and updating client records.
