Job Purpose
The Communications and Content Officer supports the delivery of engaging and effective communications across Operation Smile UK’s channels. The postholder will create and coordinate content that raises awareness, supports fundraising, and strengthens the organisation’s profile in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
Content creation and content management
- Working with the Senior Communications Manager, research, draft, and edit compelling content for the UK website, newsletters, and print materials.
- Support the reimagining of existing content to ensure messaging is fresh, relevant, and audience-led.
- Collate and maintain a library of case studies, stories, and assets for use across teams.
- Ensure brand voice and tone are consistently applied across all communications.
Digital and organic social media
- Develop and maintain a social media content calendar which supports our Communications Strategy and liaise with our Social Media Freelancer to plan and approve posts.
- Contribute to the delivery of multi-channel campaigns, liaising with internal stakeholders and suppliers to create assets and meet deadlines.
- Assist with monitoring and reporting on content performance, identifying opportunities for growth and engagement.
Campaign coordination
- Support the planning and scheduling of communications campaigns like World Smile Day and advertising events like our annual carols concert.
- Manage feedback processes to ensure the timely delivery of content and materials.
- Act as the first point of contact for all content requests from across the organisation.
Administration and finance
- Collate quotes for expenditure and liaise with suppliers as required.
- Track invoices, ensuring coding is accurate and amounts match agreed quotes.
- Maintain organised systems for content workflows, approvals, and campaign schedules.
Monitoring and evaluation
- Gather engagement and performance metrics from all channels.
- Provide regular reports to the Senior Communications Manager.
- Suggest improvements to optimise performance and impact.

About Us
Advocacy Support Cymru (ASC) is a registered charity with offices in Cardiff and Swansea. We provide Independent Mental Health and Mental Capacity Advocacy Services across most of South Wales, employing 56 employees.
About the role
The post holder will provide support to clients who lack capacity and to implement the safeguards of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 or the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards. They will provide non-instructed advocacy (NIA) support to people who lack capacity to make specific decisions and who have no-one else to support them. The successful candidate will travel efficiently and effectively within the Advocacy Support Cymru area of operation.
This role will operate within the Hywel Dda University Health Board Area.
About you
You will have experience working with vulnerable adults and/or children, either within health or social care setting, or indirectly, for example as a carer. You will understand and have experience of working effectively in an intra-agency context with Health and Social Care Professionals. Knowledge of the role of the Independent Mental Capacity Advocate as defined in the Mental Capacity Act 2005 is essential.
Previous direct experience in the role would be preferred but training will be provided.

The salary band for the role is £24,725 to £29,202,FTE; £20,047 - £23,677 for 30 hours
This post is for a 37 hours a week position and for a 30 hours a week position

Location: Based within the residential service in West Ealing. Unfortunately this service does not have step free access.
Salary: £30,000
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday on a rota working 09:00 - 17:00, you may also be required to work weekends, evenings, and bank holidays. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota for managers.
About the role
This is a great opportunity for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Ealing. You will support the Service Manager in leading a service which provides a recovery focused service to adults with long term mental health challenges. You will support the team to deliver person centred support to improve the lives of our residents, for them to gain greater independence to move onto lower support accommodation. You will do this through providing direct leadership and line management to the team so they feel empowered to perform within their roles.
You will ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements, and will encourage the creation of a psychologically informed environment, which provides person centred support. Some of what the role includes:
- Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
- Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
- Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
- Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed
- Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
- Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.
About you
We are seeking a passionate, driven and motivated colleague to help lead our service in a trauma informed and inclusive way. Someone who is knowledgeable in the needs of our residents, particularly around mental health and can support the team in delivering their daily duties. You will be driven with passion for what we do, and be able to work flexibly to meet service needs, providing new ideas and opportunities to develop the service further to continue to achieve excellence!
You will have some knowledge and background in mental health, understanding the different complexities which can arise, and able to support others to support the residents to achieve their goals. - Direct experience working in a Health and Social care environment or similar, ideally within mental health

- Ability to provide advice, support and guidance to a team on all aspects of the service such as resident related enquiries which can include housing, mental health support, signposting

- Ability to work flexibly to meet the demands and needs of the service. For example, Provide an emergency on call service as and when required in case of emergency

Empowering independence through trauma-informed solutions and dynamic partnerships that keep people out of prison, out of hospital and off the streets
The Richmond Group has delivered a programme of work, funded by Sport England, including delivery of We Are Undefeatable (WAU), a social marketing campaign, the development of resources for patients and professionals, packs, evaluation of a suite of physical activity projects and a system influencing programme.
We are now entering a new phase of the programme, through extended partnership funding from Sport England, which aims to increase both our system influencing and place-based activity and integrate this work with our WAU campaign. The aim is to drive system change with a focus on reducing physical inactivity levels amongst people with long term conditions, who are twice as likely to be inactive as the general population.
To deliver this work we need a Policy Officer to play a pivotal role in supporting the system change we're seeking through impactful influencing activity. This role will:
* Support delivery of our influencing plans nationally and locally with a focus on policy and public affairs activity
* Report to the Senior Influencing Manager
* Work closely across the whole RG Physical Activity Programme team, RG secretariat and our coalition members.
This is a fixed-term contract ending March 2028.
We operate a hybrid working model. We offer flexibility on working from home but require the applicant to be in our central London office once per week, on average. Travel costs to the London office are the responsibility of the postholder and are not covered by the charity.

About the role

You will be joining us at a time that holds the greatest potential for fundraising in our history, following the launch of the UK Government’s Delivery Plan for ME and initial findings of the DecodeME genetics study (co-led by Action for ME) in Summer 2025.
Building on our charity’s already established level of support from major donors, you will provide exceptional relationship management to existing donors alongside growing our network of high value supporters.
Working closely with the CEO, alongside managing a portfolio of donors and prospects ensuring excellent stewardship, you will support our Breakthrough-ME Group (a group of high net worth and highly networked individuals). There is an established level of support from major donors at Action for ME so this is a role that will require exceptional relationship management to retain our current valued supporters while growing this crucial area of fundraising.
This would be an ideal role for an experienced philanthropy professional seeking to work for a small but ambitious charity, helping us to achieve our mission to improve the lives of all people affected by ME – better meeting their needs today while taking action to secure change for tomorrow.
Key duties
Major Donor Fundraising
• Successfully develop and implement the philanthropy strategy to secure and maximise funds from high value individuals for Action for ME achieving annual income of £250k+
• Set plans and budgets which will deliver income through major gift fundraising and philanthropic giving through family trusts and foundations, including quarterly forecasting.
• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors at the £5k to £100k level, to develop and maintain strong and long-standing partnerships
• Work closely with the Director of Fundraising and Development and other colleagues to ensure that plans and activities for fundraising from high value individuals are integrated into the overall fundraising strategy and plan for significant growth.
• Be responsible for our Breakthrough-ME Group with high quality proposition development. Contribution to Group fundraising activities with a specific focus on ensuring their networks support pipeline growth for future fundraising.
• Lead the delivery of our biennial fundraising gala dinner, maximising income and new opportunities from attendees.
• Develop engaging and inspiring opportunities to steward and cultivate support creating a calendar of activities including events, presentations, approaches, networking and meetings.
• Utilise the CRM database (Raisers Edge) to provide the data required to strategise your approach to philanthropy, monitor progress and provide a high-quality donor experience.
• Ensure utilisation of insight & data, producing management information data to inform planning and strategy development.
• With the Director of Fundraising & Development, create inspiring cases for support and resulting propositions with clear budgets and outcomes.
• Create adequate systems and processes to support the major donor programme.
• Undertake and manage research into prospects and major donors, preparing for approaches and presentations and briefing senior leadership and trustees for donor meetings and events.
• Develop and maintain relationships with donors, a wide range of staff and volunteers from trustee level down.
• Provide regular feedback and internal reporting to line management.
• Work with other fundraisers to ensure that all fundraising opportunities and leads are followed up – particularly in corporate, community and trust fundraising.
• Work with Trustees, the Chief Executive and members of the Leadership Team to develop relationships with major donors.
• Self-administrate including managing your own diary and meetings, keeping accurate and up to date records of activity
• Occasional travel to London, Bristol & events
Other duties
• To positively promote the work and activities of Action for M.E. at all times.
• To contribute to the team’s overall, ongoing and annual planning and budgeting.
• To undertake any other reasonable activity in line with the responsibilities of the post as requested by the Director of Fundraising and Development, Chief Executive or any other senior Action for ME management.
• Act as an advocate for the Charity and its work.
• To work in accordance with Action for ME’s values of collaboration, equity and empathy.

In Bristol, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire, the MHSTs are run as a partnership between OTR and NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (AWP CAMHS). This partnership makes our MHST unique, creative, and responsive to the needs of the diverse communities we work in.
Team Coordinators will assist MHST Team Managers and Clinical Leads in the operational management of Mental Health Support Teams by providing high quality support to staff members and supporting initiatives to develop our workforce.
Applicants will need relevant education in line with the requirements of the role, experience working with young people and the adults in their lives, and demonstrable management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team with a range of needs and skills.

Salary: £28,102 – £32,873 per year (pro-rata)

Would you like to be part of a vital helpline service? Scotland’s Domestic Abuse and Forced Marriage Helpline, run by Scottish Women’s Aid, is looking for Helpline Call Handlers to join our busy daytime team.
What you’ll do
You’ll provide confidential support and information to individuals experiencing domestic abuse or forced marriage, as well as their families, friends, colleagues, and professionals supporting them. Responding by phone, email, web chat, and text, you’ll assess needs and risks, helping them plan for their safety and connecting them to appropriate services and resources. You’ll also record information about the contacts you handle using our digital systems.
What we need
Daytime shifts can be especially busy on the helpline. You’ll need to stay calm and empathetic while working in a fast-paced environment, and be ready to handle difficult and sometimes distressing situations. This role can be challenging, but it is also hugely rewarding if you bring the right skills and resilience.
We need people who:
- Are passionate about supporting those affected by domestic abuse and forced marriage, with a feminist understanding of how gender shapes these issues.
- Can listen with empathy and communicate clearly with people from all walks of life, whether by phone, email, text, or webchat.
- Can take in complex information and explain it simply.
- Take a trauma-informed, person-centred, non-directive, and non-judgemental approach.
- Are confident using computers and keeping accurate records.
- Have emotional resilience, the skills to practise good self-care, and know when to seek support.
- Enjoy working as part of a supportive, mostly remote team.
- Are committed to learning, reflection, and ongoing development.
