The Curriculum Lead will play a leading role in developing and delivering Frontline’s Approach Social Work programme, a fast-track master’s in social work and our internal Consultant Social Worker programme. ​

​This role involves leading the design and implementation of curriculum content, as well as contributing to teaching, learning, and assessment—both academic and practice-based.​

You will support the delivery of high-quality teaching materials across various formats, including online and in-person sessions. A key part of the role is developing and supporting Practice Tutors and Consultant Social Workers. This includes running curriculum briefings, contributing to training resources, and ensuring quality and consistency in the materials and guidance provided.​

Last year we launched an exciting partnership with Nike’s Social and Community Impact team. As a Youth Practitioner, you will help us to scale our Schools Programme. You’ll deliver our programmes across schools in East London, aiming to engage more young people in movement and running.

The Role

We are looking for a Youth Practitioner to work alongside the Youth Programme Team to develop and deliver our Nike funded Schools Programme targeted at Year 7 and 8 young people (age 11-13) across East London.

Main Duties:

• Deliver fun and engaging Outrunners sessions at our partner schools to young people aged 11-13, alongside PE teachers. 

• Manage relationships with partner teachers and SLT at our partner schools.

• Work with the Youth Programme Manager and other Youth Practitioners to design and deliver holistic movement programmes with a focus on running, targeted at 8-18 year olds. 

• Ensure safeguarding procedures are upheld for all young people. 

• Undertake administration tasks such as ensuring evaluation forms are completed, uploading data to our CRM system and planning sessions.

• Complete any other business required by management and pitch in to help with other tasks at busy times during the year.

Early Literacy Interventionist (North London)

Are you looking for a new challenge? Are you keen to work with children to support and develop their phonics and reading skills? 

38% of children from disadvantaged backgrounds leave primary school in England each year unable to read to the expected standard. Chapter One is a fast-growing charity, with a vision of a world in which all children have the literacy skills they need to thrive. We work to ensure that all children have 1:1 reading support at the time they need it most.

Our Early Literacy Intervention (ELI) programme (based on a model that serves 20,000 children successfully in the USA) provides daily, 1:1, 7 minute phonics sessions for children who are behind in phonics. Using a bespoke technology tool, a trained Early Literacy Interventionist works individually with target children. 

This ELI role, reporting to the Schools Development Manager, is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop and grow their knowledge of phonics and/or their teaching skill set. It is ideal for someone with previous school experience who is looking for a new and exciting challenge.

You will conduct initial baseline assessments and then deliver differentiated, 1:1, targeted, 7 minute phonics sessions to pupils using a systematic, synthetic approach. Although you are employed by Chapter One, you will work closely with the school team to understand the progression of the school’s phonics teaching; establish tailored plans for each child and feedback on pupil progress. Using your knowledge and insight, you will also collaborate with colleagues at Chapter One to further improve the ELI model, the online tool and programme delivery.

MAIN DUTIES

Fundraising Communications:

• Use Dot Digital to send communications and securely hold and update donor contact information
• Work closely with the School’s Communications and Marketing department to advance design and content briefs as required. 

Event Planning & Delivery:

• Manage delivery of approx. 35+ in-house donor visits to Upper School and White Lodge all year round
• Support the delivery external events for existing donors as well as cultivation events for prospects

About the Minster Centre

The Minster Centre is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee that provides training in psychotherapy and counselling and an affordable therapy service.

It was founded in 1978 as the first Integrative psychotherapy and counselling training in the UK and is a leading psychotherapy training institution. Now based in Queens Park, NW London, it runs training ranging from open access introductory courses to post-graduate degrees validated by Middlesex University. The Minster Centre caters for around 300 diploma and MA students each year. It is registered with the Office for Students.

The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service (MCPCS) also provides a safe, affordable and professional counselling service to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of difficulties. Role purpose

The Minster Centre is seeking to develop and further professionalise its operations and is recruiting to a new Head of Finance role. This is a part-time, flexible role for two days per week in the first instance. Some time in the office will be needed to work alongside other staff and key stakeholders – this can be managed flexibly alongside working from home. The role would therefore suit someone who wants to balance an interesting and senior role alongside other responsibilities or interests.

The Head of Finance will oversee the financial operations of the charity, owning and ensuring compliance to financial policies and procedures. You will provide strategic financial guidance to the Management Committee and contribute to the delivery of the charity’s financial strategies.

• A review of existing financial policies and procedures to support the ongoing effective running of the charity.

You will support the Accounts Manager with the administration and monitoring of both loan and fund portfolios, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely updates, assist with onboarding new clients and investments, including collecting and verifying KYC (Know Your Customer) documentation and supporting due diligence processes.
 
You will also provide key monitoring services such as maintaining and updating portfolio management systems, prepare routine correspondence, and respond to client queries, support the monitoring of existing investments, tracking key milestones, repayments, covenants, and impact metrics.
 
You will also work with the wider investment team, for example to assist the Investment Manager and Accounts Manager with Risk assessments and Performance assessments where required.
 
You will be a keen "numbers person" who is used to working in depth with Excel. You will have a background in a financial environment and/or a relevant degree or financial qualification. We would also consider a suitably qualified candidate who wishes to move into a social finance career. A strong understanding and history of confidentiality in a financial context is also essential.  
 
There is a strong opportunity, for the right candidate, to progress into a career in Fund Accounting or Fund Management.

Workplace details:

The role is based in the Big Issue Head Office in Finsbury Park, London, with hybrid working available – with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
