The role of Bereavement Wellbeing Practitioner is in place to:
 

• To be a part of the Bereavement and Talking Therapies team who offer emotional support to patients, carers, children and young people and families who have a life-limiting illness or are bereaved.
• Triage referrals and undertake assessments to appropriate departments with Bereavement and Talking therapy service.
• Trained professional in CBT/DBT/counselling.
• Plan and facilitate sessions for bereaved and pre-bereaved patients.
• Deliver staff and patient/family/carers psycho-educational workshops.
• To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to providing a high-quality service.

About the Role:

As a Young People Case Worker, you’ll work as part of a team delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported or community based accommodation.  The aim of which is to ensure that every client leaves the service with the skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives. - To lead lunchtime and/or after school activities in schools, including expanding use of our Youth Alpha material.

- To assist in providing chaplaincy as requested within the local schools and to seek opportunities to grow mission.

Safeguarding

- To oversee the Children's and Youth Ministry in a way that follows National Safeguarding Guidelines.

- To respond effectively and appropriately to any safeguarding concerns as they arise, following the safeguarding protocol.

We are looking for our new Campaigns Coordinator for Birmingham Friends of the Earth.

Birmingham Friends of the Earth (BFoE) is a non-profit organisation campaigning to create a more sustainable and fairer Birmingham. We empower others to take action, we hold decision-makers to account on climate change, waste, nature and clean air, and we make sure environmental justice is at the heart of everything we do, campaigning intersectionally and inclusively. As well as having an active volunteer-led campaigns group, we run The Warehouse, our lively environmental community centre in Digbeth and a key centre for the city’s activism. BFoE is linked to Friends of the Earth, the national organisation, but independent and able to campaign on issues that matter to us, in ways that resonate with us.

The purpose of the role, part of our small staff team of 5, is to lead our campaigns activity, working with and supporting our campaigns group.

We welcome applications from those for whom this would be their first paid campaigns role. Experience of voluntary activism and enthusiasm to develop your skills and grow into the role are more important than ticking all the boxes.

We’re working with a leading mental health provider to recruit an experienced Services Team Leader to lead on suicide prevention and support services across West Central London. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to individuals and communities by managing a high-impact service that spans suicide prevention, postvention, bereavement, and wellbeing training initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and develop suicide prevention, bereavement, and mental health support services.
• Supervise and support a multidisciplinary team including Suicide Prevention Coordinators, Counsellors, and Advisors.
• Maintain strong relationships with commissioners, partners, and stakeholders across statutory and voluntary sectors.
• Manage service budgets and reporting, ensuring contractual and quality standards are consistently met.
• Oversee mobilisation, delivery, and continuous improvement of support services.
• Provide robust leadership and line management to ensure delivery of recovery-focused, person-centred outcomes.

You’ll bring:

• Proven experience at management level within mental health, suicide prevention, or social care services.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, team leadership, and budget management skills.
• A deep understanding of mental health recovery models and safeguarding practices.
• Ability to manage operational delivery within a contractual and outcomes-based framework.
• A strong, compassionate leadership style and ability to inspire a committed team.
