As an Assistant Community Shop Manager (ACSM) for St Giles Hospice you will support in leading a team of volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. You’ll work within and for your local community ensuring that engagement and support is understood and promoted.
You’ll have good customer service skills and want to be part of a successful team. Ideally, you’ll have previous retail experience with the ability to manage and lead the store in the absence of the Community Shop Manager (CSM).
Reporting into the CSM and working closely with the Retail Regional Manager you will aid in supporting your store to run efficiently and deliver a positive financial contribution to the Hospice. You’ll also have the support of a Retail Regional Supervisor, available to provide store encouragement and development of best practice.

Experience

The role is working externally at the highest levels so will require someone with first class interpersonal and presentations skills, the ability to navigate complex environments and a willingness to understand partners’ contexts and political constraints. You will need to fully supports the ambition of policy champions at national level without prescribing external agendas, have a passion for using evidence to drive better decision making and the ability to maintain focus on the big picture, even when discussing technical questions.
Substantive knowledge in a field related to international development or human capital development appreciated and fluency in French and/or widely spoken African languages is desirable. Our involvement work brings together our community to mobilise urgent change in research, support, campaigning and awareness through the power of their united voices. The insight from our involvement network inspires and drives all our work across The Charity. This role involves actively engaging and stewarding everyone across all relevant and interested groups. This includes providing support to those living with a brain tumour diagnosis, their family and their friends. As part of our services team, you will ensure we engage all groups including those disadvantaged and less heard from, championing the voices of our wider community to grow our involvement network. You will also collaborate with those professionally committed to the cause, including our research community, to ensure that people affected by brain tumours have the chance to both shape and participate in research opportunities. You will be responsible for measuring and sharing the difference we are making through the delivery and analysis of our Improving Brain Tumour Care Surveys, empowering the community to identify the gaps in treatment and care experiences, so we can make a difference where it matters most.

You will work closely with our Community Impact Lead to support both the delivery and the development of our community work. The Community Impact work at Resource Futures is an important part of our business; it captures a number of long-term projects which are at the heart of our company. These include Community RePaint, Community Action Groups Devon, Community Action Groups Somerset, the Fixy project, the Gloucestershire Real Nappy Project and more.
We are looking to build on our strengths and track record of delivering quality, impactful community projects. We therefore have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our Community Impact team.
What you will be doing
- Project delivery: Getting involved in project delivery, such as foundational research for project development and delivering workshops.
- Project management: Overseeing the effective delivery of projects, including reporting, and supporting the planning and set up of new projects as they come online.
- Innovation and Development: Supporting us to improve and expand our projects and programmes. You will also assist in identifying new projects or funding opportunities and contribute to the preparation of funding proposals. This may involve exploring options for the governance structure of this area of work.
- Marketing and communications: Promoting our projects, developing our external communications and acting as an ambassador for our community work.
- Monitoring and evaluation: We are on a journey to better capture the impact of specific projects, and the impact that our community work has collectively. You will take an active role in supporting this element of our work.
- Partnership working: Collaboration is key to our approach. You will liaise with existing clients and partners for project delivery, develop new partnerships to further our aims and also take part in key networking and external events.
- Team development: You will work closely with the Community Impact Lead to contribute to the development of the team, during our team meetings and away days. You will be comfortable managing staff, teams and subcontractors to deliver desired outcomes.
- Day-to-day operations: Working closely with the Community Impact Lead, HR and Finance, to support our remote project teams, problem solve issues as they arise, develop our internal systems and processes, maximise efficiencies and drive improvements.

About the role
Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player?
We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.
You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).
The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team. Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams.
If you think you have the skills, qualities and drive to fulfil this role, but don’t meet all of the specifications, or perhaps you’ve gained your experience in (for example) commercial sales or within relationships management and are looking to move into development work, we would still welcome hearing from you. Royal Trinity Hospice is the local hospice for southwest and central London. We provide free specialist palliative and end of life care for people living in Wandsworth and parts of Lambeth, Merton, Westminster, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea and Richmond.
The organisation has recently embarked on a new five-year strategy and this exciting role will play a pivotal part in the overall delivery of the technology aspects. The successful appointee of this role will sit within a small but busy IT team and will be responsible for first class support of Royal Trinity Hospice’s customers and systems.
Reporting to the IT Operations Manager, the Senior IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support services to the staff, volunteers and service users at the hospice, and will support the IT Operations Manager in their day-to-day activities, ensuring the IT service is delivered to the agreed standards, as well as providing mentorship and team-leadership to the IT Support Technicians within the team.
What you’ll be doing
The primary duties of the Senior IT Support Technician include, but are not limited to:
- working independently and as part of the wider team, the post holder will be responsible for fulfilling service requests and resolving calls within agreed timeframes.
- supervise, mentor and provide escalated support for IT Support Technicians to provide ‘outstanding, effective and robust’ services and ensure service level targets are met.
- collaborate with colleagues across all levels within the team and the wider business to support the team's success, staff IT training and the organisation's ambitions.
- delivering a high quality of work, ensuring that attention to detail, professionalism and consistency is always upheld.
- adherence to Royal Trinity Hospice’s policies, procedures, and values.
- supporting the IT Operations Manager in their day-to-day activities, including backups, reporting, patching etc.
- playing a crucial part in delivering aspects of ongoing and future IT projects.
- supporting the business in the provision of documentation and knowledge sharing.
Skills and experience required
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as the role necessitates advanced relationship building and communication skills to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in a similar role in an IT team following ITIL processes/practices.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows 10 OS.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AzureAD and Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
- Working knowledge of Windows Server OS, Exchange and Active Directory.
- A sound understanding of network and server infrastructure.
- Knowledge of IT security software solutions.
- Knowledge of various end user computing hardware e.g. Laptops, PC’s, Phones etc.
- Experience of Citrix XenDesktop and XenApp is desirable but not essential.
- Able to work to SLA’s and KPI’s.
- A strong ability to fault find customer issues remotely, in person or over the phone, ensuring that outcomes are documented within support tickets.
