Job purpose:

The post holder will support the Digital Content Manager in implementing the Association’s digital strategy. They will create web content that is user focused, accessible and optimised for search engines. They will maintain a content schedule, coordinating activities across the organisation and will build relationships with a variety of subject matter experts. They will support the Digital Content Manager in managing the Association’s digital channels.

The postholder will play a key role in supporting the management of the Association’s digital campaigns and tracking and reporting on digital campaigns to guide improvements. They will create and edit digital designs for use on web, social media and email platforms and be responsible for working with colleagues across the Association to provide digital insight and training.

This role is based at our head office at 21 Portland Place, London. We offer a hybrid working arrangement with a minimum of 2 days in the office per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital

• Support the Digital Content Manager to review, develop and update the Association’s current website, and take a key role in the project to work on development of a new website.
• Support the management of the online community forum.
• Support the management of the Association app and any additional projects undertaken to further develop it.
• Act as a contact point with support agencies to swiftly resolve issues and to follow up developments.

Communications and social media

• Write and collate (including copyediting and proofreading where necessary) high quality, engaging content in line with agreed content priorities.
• Ensure content follows the Association’s brand guidelines, tone of voice and style guide.
• Work with colleagues to prepare, send and report on email campaigns on their behalf.
• Manage the Association’s social media presence, with the aim of reaching an increasingly broad audience.
• Create and edit digital designs for use on web, social media and email platforms, including filming and editing simple videos.
• Coordinate a digital content schedule across all channels for the organisation.
• Keep abreast of the latest innovations in digital communications and make suggestions for new ways of promoting the Association work and messages online.

Reporting

• Analyse campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns.

• Proven experience in a digital communications role 
• Proven experience of using website content management systems (working knowledge of the DNN platform is desirable), including writing, preparing and uploading content, maintaining the backend and working with developers to develop functionality and solve technical issues

Job Title: Field Care Supervisor

Key duties

Major Donor Fundraising

• Successfully develop and implement the philanthropy strategy to secure and maximise funds from high value individuals for Action for ME achieving annual income of £250k+

• Set plans and budgets which will deliver income through major gift fundraising and philanthropic giving through family trusts and foundations, including quarterly forecasting.

• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors at the £5k to £100k level, to develop and maintain strong and long-standing partnerships

As Healthcare Improvement Officer, you’ll play a central role in making sure our programmes run smoothly and have maximum impact. You’ll oversee on the logistics and delivery of events across the UK and online, from our Clinical Champions Programme and Clinical Advisory Group meetings to our annual healthcare professional conference. You’ll also oversee recruitment for programmes, manage databases and monitoring systems, and handle financial processes such as invoices and purchase orders, ensuring everything is delivered on time and to a high standard.

Your work will range from planning and scheduling programmes, to procuring resources, preparing materials and helping to facilitate sessions so that participants are fully supported in their learning. You’ll also contribute to quality improvement project development and coordination, working with teams across Prostate Cancer UK to share good practice and expand the reach of our initiatives.

Engagement will be a key part of your role, from maintaining webpages and digital channels to supporting our alumni network through newsletters, communications and opportunities for continued involvement. You’ll help manage our online Clinical Champions learning hub and, with training provided, will also have the chance to coach and mentor clinicians using Insights Discovery (a psychometric tool helping people understand their own and others' behavioural preferences and communication styles).

What we want from you

We’re looking for someone who’s highly organised, comfortable working with people and able to keep several projects moving at once. Strong communication skills are essential, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt your style to suit different audiences, from clinicians to colleagues across the organisation.

You’ll bring experience in event planning and support, along with project coordination, and you’ll be comfortable managing webpages and creating online content. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with a range of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, colleagues and senior leaders, so collaboration will be second nature to you.

An understanding of the healthcare and/or charity sectors will be valuable, as will experience in presenting and facilitating discussions. You’ll also need excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively when things get busy.

About the role

This role will be responsible for providing business support for the directorate to support effective leadership and streamlined ways of working across Income Generation. 

The postholder will support the operation of the Income Generation Leadership Team (IGLT) and assist in various aspects of organisational administration and development. It will support IGLT to define and shape priorities and support implementation of priority initiatives.  It will ensure that IGLT’s time is prioritised effectively on delivering the most critical priorities and that follow-up activities are completed.

This role will need to foster and develop credible and respected relationships with all key stakeholders including in other directorates – to ensure visibility and engagement on high priority programmes.

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy. Here are some of the main things you’ll be doing, but you’ll find more details in the job description.

• Provide business support to IGLT including: 
• Support for IGLT and Income Generation directorate meetings and follow-up 
• Support for business planning, projects, reviews and evaluations    
• Ensuring that all key reports for Income Gen directorate are efficiently delivered – with a particular focus at the moment on KPIs and quarterly reports for Exec, Board and internal audiences 
• Implement and monitor operational programmes, ensuring learning from past programmes of work is integrated.  
• Co-ordinate cross-directorate teams to ensure successful programme execution with timely delivery of initiatives and management of key dependencies.  
• Continually ensure risks to programmes of work are identified, assessed and mitigated.   
• Make sure robust controls are embedded and reported through regular monitoring systems.  
• Facilitate communication between teams to ensure transparency and alignment on operational goals. 
• Take responsibility for liaising with a wide range of stakeholders and contacts at all levels, on behalf of IGLT.
