We are looking for an experienced Community and Corporate Fundraiser to join our team at an exciting period of growth for our charity. Building on our existing relationships and developing new partnerships, you will help increase unrestricted income through community and corporate fundraising initiatives. 

Elayos exists to bring compassion, support and advocacy to vulnerable and isolated birthing people in Birmingham. Our Perinatal Outreach Workers, come alongside, build relationships, listen and equip with the information needed to empower our clients to have a positive and informed pregnancy, birth and postnatal period. 

Our staff and volunteers offer continuity of care as we assist with emotional, practical and physical needs. Elayos values the importance of trauma-informed approaches and seeks to offer this to both staff and clients. Where appropriate, we signpost and collaborate with other organisations to ensure that the greatest range of support is given.

Alongside emotional support, we provide: a baby bank stocking essential equipment and consumables, expert infant feeding support, a small hardship fund for essential items, vouchers to clients at Christmas and toy packs for vulnerable children.

The Role

The Head of Partnerships and Fundraising is responsible for the majority of income generation for our charity. The Switch raises income from corporate volunteering partnerships and through grant applications to other trusts and charities, which together contribute circa £800,000 per year. This is a role that requires strategic thinking, relationship and negotiation skills, and the ability to meet income targets.

This role will manage and grow our current key corporate partners, ensuring sustainability and longevity in our partnerships. The person will be responsible for communicating effectively with corporate partners on a strategic level, to understand how we can improve our volunteering offer and communicate impact to their business.

The job-holder will seek new partnerships in diverse industries where we have fewer stakeholders, to ensure our young people work with companies and volunteers from wide-ranging sectors.

In this position you will scope fundraising opportunities from grant and trusts, and be adept at assessing our viability so that applications we submit have a higher rate of success than average.

As Head of Partnerships and Fundraising, you will create new income streams which The Switch has not considered before, for example legacy funding, individual giving, corporate match funding. This will improve our financial stability.

In addition to income generation, this role will lead the Partnerships team and manage two to three staff as follows :

1. Our Corporate Partnerships and Volunteer Manager - oversees all volunteer logistics, including maintaining volunteer records and distributing relevant briefing materials to ensure volunteers are well-prepared for their role. Some time dedicated to fundraising too.

2. Our Communication Coordinator – leads on our regular comms including our digital newsletter, social media pages, and bespoke comms for projects or funders.

3. Coordinator TBC.

Details

· The Head of Partnerships and Fundraising leads the Partnerships Team and reports to the CEO.

· Working hours are typically 9am – 5pm Monday – Thursday, and 9am – 4pm Fridays.

· Working from home (WFH) is typically 2 days a week, with Wednesdays mandatory in the office.

· Flexibility will be required to cover meetings or events outside of these hours and WFH days.

 In this role you will have opportunity to design and deliver innovative youth group support programmes (12- 24 year olds) & other activities; provide LGBTQ+ affirmative support, guidance and mentoring on a one-to-one basis; work with our wider family work programme, support families with LGBTQ+ children and deliver work in schools to students & teaching staff.  You will have the responsibity to support volunteer mentors.

You will be responsible for the direct delivery of elop’s LGBTQ+ Young Peoples Service, including promotion, & administration, along with the induction, support & supervision of volunteers and interns.  You will work alongside the wider staff team to support elop’s work with LGBTQ+ young people and contribute to sustainable service development.

The delivery of group support and activities will take place in person, and you will be office based three days a week with some remote working on other days before returning to full time in person working.

Full Time: 37 hours per week

You must be available to work Tuesday evenings & once a month on a Sunday afternoon.  There will be occasional other evenings / weekend working required.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and it’s harming too many lives. At Prostate Cancer UK, one of our top priorities is funding research that leads to real change. It’s vital we do our best to make sure this research makes a meaningful difference to men’s lives, and that’s where you come in.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Research Impact Officer to help us understand, communicate and accelerate the impact of the research we fund.

This role sits in the Research Impact and Engagement Team. You’ll be working at the heart of how we track the progress of completed research projects, share success stories and support researchers in turning their findings into ways to improve the lives of men affected by prostate cancer. You’ll take responsibility for half of our portfolio of completed research projects. This means building strong relationships with funded researchers, understanding how their work is progressing, and supporting them to achieve meaningful impact for men affected by prostate cancer. Using your scientific knowledge and communication skills you’ll translate research outputs into clear, engaging stories to demonstrate the value of our work. Using your understanding of the steps needed to take research from bench to bedside you’ll help monitor the success of our completed research portfolio.

What we want from you

This role is a vital part of how we deliver on our mission, to stop prostate cancer harming men and their families. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about research making an impact and hold a bio-medical science degree (or a degree in a related subject), with research experience. You can understand complex scientific information presented in reports, publications or presentations and explain these complex concepts in a simple and engaging way to a range of audiences including peers within the charity, as well as men affected by the disease. You’ll be motivated to consistently perform to the highest standards, with an eagerness to trial new ideas, identify new opportunities and solve problems.

In any one day you could be helping develop an impact case study for the website, interviewing researchers for project updates, supporting delivery of a research event, or using social media to disseminate the work of our funded researchers. Your primary focus will be on the impact of our funded research, working closely with colleagues in the Research Impact and Engagement Team, as well as working closely with our research funding team, and with other teams across the charity.

The Information Management Specialist will focus on the classification of organisational data, ensuring appropriate confidentiality levels, and implementing robust data loss prevention strategies.The role includes analysing and optimising current SharePoint libraries and leading the development and implementation of an intranet to enhance collaboration and information sharing across the organisation. 

About You

Approved Premises (APs) work with high-risk people released from prison, providing a vital element in public protection arrangements. APs offer a level of contact, support and supervision within the community that is unique within the Criminal Justice System. As an Out-of-Hours Intervention Worker at He
stia, you will play a crucial role in our Streatham Approved Premises. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.
A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:
Providing admin and other support to colleagues, particularly in relation to compiling documents relating to residents medication, curfews and sign-in registers. Completing welfare checks on residents in the Approved Premises. Ensuring timely and accurate recording of information on electronic databases, and completing tasks to a high standard. Following protocols, encouraging compliance with curfews/drug & alcohol testing, and liaising with partners including on-call manager, probation and police. Ensuring that colleagues, multi-agency partners and management are informed and updated  on matters as is necessary for risk management and safeguarding duties. Actively monitoring and maintaining the health, safety, security, cleanliness and hygiene of the Approved  Premises and the well-being of its occupants utilising information sharing, CCTV, direct observation, inspection, personal contact and other methods, as appropriate. Healthwatch City of London are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced communications and engagement officer to ensure that the patient and service users voice is at the heart of Health and Social Care decision making.  The successful candidate will drive engagement with the local community, creating visibility of our work to residents and partners. Role purpose

What you’ll be doing:

• Running our social media channels day-to-day (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
• Writing, filming, editing, and designing original content that tells our story
• Planning and delivering content for fundraising campaigns and events
• Engaging with our community — responding to messages, comments, and building relationships
• Working closely with our marketing team and supporting our external ad agency
• Tracking performance and using insights to keep improving
• Staying ahead of trends and keeping our content fresh, fun, and impactful

What we’re looking for:

• A natural storyteller who knows how to turn ideas into powerful posts
• Confident with Canva, Adobe, or similar tools for editing video and visuals
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing social media accounts — bonus if it’s for a cause or charity
• Highly organised and comfortable juggling multiple projects
• A self-starter with creative flair and a good sense of what grabs attention
• Ideally, you’ve worked in the charity or non-profit space before
• An understanding of the Muslim community would be a real advantage, as many of our campaigns are targeted to Muslim donors.

Help build and diversity our income streams, and support the fundraising skills of the VCSE in Hammersmith & Fulham.

The post holder will be responsible for raising funds for Sobus from community fundraising, grants/trusts and developing other key income streams: major donors, regular giving and corporate.

The postholder will also provide information, support and guidance to Hammersmith & Fulham based VCSE organisations on fundraising activities.

The post holder will hold a strategic over view of Sobus’s fundraising needs and be a key player in the charity’s communications and marketing.

Your main duties will be to develop and manage our fundraising strategy, identify potential funding sources and create persuasive, winning funding applications and proposals.

You will also develop and deliver beginner level fundraising workshops for local micro and newly established VCS organisations, and provide help local VCSE organisations develop their fundraising strategies and funding applications
