This role is an essential leadership role in Overcoming MS, working as a key member of a small Senior Leadership Team, in partnership with the Chief Executive and Director of Services. The Director of Fundraising & Communications is responsible for driving income generation, strengthening the charity’s profile, and embedding marketing and digital excellence across all areas of work.
Job summary:
You will set both strategic direction and deliver hands-on activity, overseeing all fundraising streams, communications, digital platforms, and supporter engagement. You will develop integrated strategies that maximise limited resources, grow sustainable income, amplify our impact and ensure the charity communicates with clarity, consistency, and purpose.
You will lead a small team of fundraisers, marketeers and communicators to deliver to our current organisational plans, whilst developing longer term plans to extend our reach and our income base. You will work proactively and independently to build relationships, develop innovative campaigns and provide the support that enables our service delivery to function.
You will be expected to provide a high standard and quality of impact across a range of activities and projects, being fully aware of and upholding the charity’s values, and taking responsibility for modelling these to others across the organisation and to the wider community.
Key responsibilities:
1. Strategic & organisational leadership
- Lead the development and delivery of an integrated fundraising, communications, and digital strategy aligned with the charity’s mission and growth ambitions.

- Lead Overcoming MS’s communication strategy to significantly grow visibility, engagement and trust, with everyone affected by MS, the Overcoming MS community, donors and fundraisers, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensure digital and communication tools, channels, systems and platforms underpin and are able to maximise opportunities for all fundraising, communications, and operational activity.
- Use communication and marketing techniques to amplify the impact of our services and increase our reach, ensuring maximum take up.
- Oversee the charity’s website, ensuring strong user experience, accessibility, SEO performance, and conversion optimisation.
- Oversee production of high-quality, tailored content for digital, print, and social channels.
- Oversee digital supporter acquisition and retention: paid ads, email marketing, marketing automation, and analytics.
5. Campaigns & public engagement
- Lead fundraising, awareness and media campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
- Use data, insights, and analytics to optimise campaign performance and supporter engagement.

- Provide regular performance reports to the CEO and Board, including financial updates, campaign metrics, and risk management.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential experience
- Senior leadership experience within a charity or non-profit organisation, ideally in a small team or resource-limited environment.
- Proven track record of generating income across multiple fundraising streams.
- Experience leading digital, communications, and/or marketing functions.
- Demonstrable experience of measurable impact within a small organisation, through increasing income generation or significant reach.
- Demonstrable experience of content creation, audience engagement and strong message creation.

About the Role
This is an exciting role that requires a mixture of skills in relation to learning and development. The role is varied and will involve delivery, design and management of learning to support staff and volunteers within the Witness Service delivered by the charity. As the face of learning and development for the Witness Service within the organisation, you will build positive relationships, promote learning and act in an advisory capacity when it comes to development.
You will;
- Deliver and design face to face and virtual training for our volunteers, staff and partners. There is an expectation that you will deliver 4 days per week, with 1 days administration work and time allocated for design projects.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts and senior staff both within Victim Support and external stakeholders on learning projects relevant to the Witness Service.
- Create accurate delegate reports and take appropriate action to address any identified under-performance.

Since 2020, our engagement with over 40 philanthropic foundations and businesses has supported them to make over £250m of new funding available for climate action, and we have already helped them make grants to over 200 different organisations.
Our work with corporates
We work closely with businesses* to develop and implement strategic grant-making funds, through their corporate foundation arm or internal budgets, that align with their mission and values, while making a tangible climate impact.
Increasingly, our work with businesses has focused on agri-food businesses. In today’s world, they can no longer count on steady yields, consistent quality, or predictable sourcing from global supply regions. Climate volatility is no longer a distant risk; it’s an immediate operational threat. Businesses that fail to invest in climate resilience now will face higher costs in the long-term, for example through more frequent supply shortages and greater business disruption. Companies that depend on agricultural supply chains for their business survival should treat bold climate action as a strategic investment in managing financial risk and staying competitive.
Impatience Earth has already helped a number of companies to better understand where their biggest climate risks and opportunities lie in their value chain, and support them through a learning and strategy process, through to implementation of funding. Crucially, we’ve helped them to identify how and where to invest philanthropically to both build climate resilience within the business and demonstrate their leadership across the sector. In 2026, we want to expand this work and proactively engage agribusinesses who may benefit from our advisory support.
The role
We acknowledge that most agribusinesses have their supply chains based in the Global South, and through our work with them, we would like to see them engage in forms of reparative finance that builds the climate resilience of farmers and communities in those regions.
We are seeking a dynamic, justice-driven, Regenerative Agriculture Lead to help agri-food businesses rethink how they invest in climate impact. In this role, you will engage senior executives, particularly in sustainability, procurement, supply chain, and corporate strategy, to shift from short-term, carbon-offsetting based approaches toward directly funding regenerative agriculture practices within their supplier networks, and working towards business transformation as a whole.
Your work will help agrifood businesses transition to more resilient, low-carbon, and nature-positive supply networks by unlocking capital that accelerates climate-smart and justice-centred practices on the ground.
Your initial focus and priority within the role would be in sales and business development, and once you’ve secured high value clients, you’ll also be supporting on delivery and advisory with those clients.

What we’re looking for:

5+ years of experience in business development, corporate sales, partnerships, sustainability advisory, supply chain solutions, or climate/ESG-related roles. We encourage applications from folks who have worked in sustainability or procurement teams within agribusinesses.

A proven track record of selling into or advising agribusinesses, with a focus on sustainability, carbon markets, climate tech, or agriculture-related domains.

We are seeking a proactive, confident, and relationship-driven Partnerships & Growth Officer to contribute to Bridging the Bar’s external income and growth activities. As the cycle progresses, you will be responsible for outreach and renewals, onboarding, benefit delivery, and ongoing relationship management.

Kinship is undertaking a major feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial (RCT) of Kinship Connected. This feasibility RCT is a complex, multi-partner programme involving:
- An active funding partner
- An independent evaluation team

- Kinship carers and lived experience subject experts
The Mobilisation and Delivery Project Manager is the operational engine of the programme, ensuring that every workstream is scoped, resourced, sequenced, delivered and evidenced, and that Kinship is trial-ready, compliant, and well-coordinated through set-up and delivery.
This role needs someone who is an excellent communicator, highly organised, unflappable, curious, and able to sit comfortably in the detail. The successful person will keep a firm grip on timelines, dependencies and risks.
You will manage a Programmes Officer as well as the set-up, processes, documentation, reporting, trial readiness, communications and cross-team coordination. You will work closely with the Programmes Manager who will share responsibility for ensuring high quality performance across the feasibility trial. You will both work closely with the core project team and partners.
You will lead operational quality, systems, processes, data, and compliance. The Programmes Manager will lead practice quality, staff development and supervision, safeguarding and relational delivery. Together you make sure the trial is delivered ethically, consistently and to a very high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the mobilisation plan across all workstreams and ensure trial readiness.
- Develop all processes, documentation and operational frameworks in line with the intervention protocol.
- Coordinate local authority onboarding, staff training and internal operational setup with the Programmes Manager.

Location: This post can be fully remote or hybrid working at our offices in Hebden Bridge, but you must be willing and able to travel to meet with colleagues and attend events and meetings throughout England and Wales.
You will be working closely with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement an Engagement Strategy, developing our brand, updating our website and growing our social media channels. You will be helping to deliver our flagship campaign White Ribbon Day and the following 16 days of activism.

Role Description
The Project Officer will directly support the Project Manager, Dr Lyndon Burford, in delivering the Nuclear Transparency Inventory (NUTRI). NUTRI will catalogue the transparency policies and practices of all nuclear-armed states regarding their nuclear arsenals and related facilities. It will be published on a free, interactive website.
The primary focus of NUTRI is on whether, how, and why states choose to disclose data about their nuclear arsenals and related facilities and policies. The project aims to support further research and dialogue by offering a go-to source of trusted information for officials, decision makers, and analysts on how the leaders of different states think about nuclear transparency. The aim is to help increase mutual understanding and prevent miscalculations, and foster confidence for future arms control and disarmament efforts.
The role of the NUTRI Project Officer will include desk-based research on nuclear transparency; helping coordinate the work of external consultants; engaging with and helping coordinate the work of the project Advisory Board; helping facilitate peer review of research findings; travelling nationally and/or internationally to promote NUTRI and its findings; drafting project-related policy briefings and other publications; and helping convene in-person and online meetings with experts and policy makers. The role also includes collaboration with the team working on BASIC’s NPT Monitor project.
Personal attributes and experience
The NUTRI Project Officer will have 4-6 years of experience and will have begun to carve out a presence in the nuclear policy field. They will be highly motivated, work well independently and in a team, and be comfortable speaking and presenting to, and writing for, a variety of audiences, including government officials, analysts, and civil society experts.
The successful applicant will have a working knowledge of the world’s nuclear arsenals and related policies and demonstrable experience producing high-quality research. They will be highly organised, with strong time management skills and the ability to maintain focus on core project aims while juggling multiple workstreams. Though the Project Officer may be relatively new to fundraising, they will be able to contribute to the process with excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and policy insights. The Project Officer will work with their line manager to identify a professional development plan to close skills gaps and work towards becoming a respected leader in their field.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Support the Project Manager in the day-to-day management and implementation of the project, ensuring timelines and milestones are met.

Conduct independent research and provide analytical support to the Project Manager.

Help coordinate, with support from the Project Manager, the work of project partners and consultants, including Advisory Board members, external consultants, and peer reviewers.

Proof read data from external consultants to ensure it is appropriately formatted according to agreed specifications.

Help coordinate, with support from the Project Manager, the development of a dedicated website to publish project findings.

Draft briefings for diverse policy audiences, including government officials and senior decision makers, international institutions, and civil society experts.

Help develop and facilitate, with support from the Project Manager and in collaboration with other BASIC staff, online and in-person events, including at the 2026 NPT Review Conference.

Co-produce written materials with the Project Manager.

Develop and manage, in collaboration with the Project Manager and Director of Communications, regular social media posts to promote NUTRI and its findings.
Role Requirements
Essential:
- Educated to Master’s level
- 4-6 years of work experience in a think tank, research institute, NGO, foundation or government working on international security issues
- Passion and commitment to our organisational mission of promoting dialogue to advance global security
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders from a variety of professional and cultural backgrounds and different levels of seniority
- Excellent analytical and methodological skills, and highly organised approaches to research and data storage
- Good working knowledge of Google suite / Microsoft 365
- Strong interpersonal skills and team work
- Experience helping organise policy roundtables and workshops
- Willingness to travel internationally when required
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable:
- Experience organising high-level meetings (in-person and/or online)
- Project management experience
