About the role:
The Alcohol Behavioural Change Specialist is responsible for collaboratively designing and implementing, evidence-based programmes applying appropriate behavioural change models aimed at reducing alcohol-related harm, and promoting long-term behavioural change related to alcohol consumption.
As a leading charity focused on alcohol harm reduction, the postholder will be Drinkaware’s internal expert regarding alcohol harm to individuals and will have a good understanding of brief interventions, as well as information, advice and guidance including quality assurance across our work. They will work across the organisation providing expert advice and guidance.
Programme & Intervention Development

Work with the Head of operations to develop and implement personalised intervention strategies to help individuals reduce alcohol consumption, using evidence-based behavioural change techniques through our app and other digital tools.

Collaborate with lived experience panel and Independent Advisory Panel to create comprehensive alcohol-related behavioural health programmes.

Utilise your experience of motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), and other evidence-based practices to promote lasting change in alcohol use behaviours across Drinkaware’s activity.

Stay up to date on the latest research in alcohol use, behavioural change methods to inform programme development and interventions.
Content & Communication

Work with the Marketing & Content team to produce engaging content for public audiences ensuring accuracy and effectiveness of advice and guidance in all Drinkaware messaging.

Presenting our insights, programmes and tools to external stakeholders including funders, public health departments etc.

About you:
This role requires a deep understanding of psychological theories, behavioural science, and addiction, along with practical experience in behavioural interventions.
Qualifications and/or experience
- Degree or higher in Psychology, Behavioural change, Public Health, or a related field. Certification or training in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or other relevant therapeutic approaches is highly desirable.
Essential Criteria / Key Skills
- Strong understanding of behavioural science theories and experience of how to apply them to alcohol use, with proficiency in delivering behavioural change techniques.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing behavioural change interventions, particularly in the context of alcohol or addiction.
- Experience with digital health applications is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate individuals at all stages of behavioural change.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess, plan, and implement effective behavioural change programmes.
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience of working in the health sector and have a passion for reducing alcohol harm in the UK.
- Experience working in partnership with internal and external agencies and organisation
- Experience of working collaboratively across internal departments and teams
- Knowledge of public health initiatives and policies related to alcohol use.
- Data analysis and program evaluation experience.
- Confident public speaker able to represent Drinkaware at events, conferences and in the media.

Job Purpose

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Senior Leadership

The Role

Action for Refugees in Lewisham (AFRIL) are recruiting for an Expert by Experience Coordinator to join our supportive and growing team. The Expert by Experience Coordinator is a new role in our small dynamic charity. The postholder will work to ensure the voices and perspectives of individuals with lived experience of asylum and forced migration are integrated into the design and delivery of AFRIL services and policy work. This role involves facilitating communication, promoting co-production, and empowering individuals to share their expertise to improve services and guide policy priorities.
The post involves coordinating our monthly Members Forum, and working with the core team to feed this into policy and service development, alongside thematic and sometimes practical support to our Allotment Steering Group, Rainbow Club Youth Council and Asylum Hotel Residents Forum. The postholder will develop the AFRIL ambassadors scheme, creating opportunities for former clients to continue to be involved in shaping AFRIL, and work with the Director to develop a governance level co-production structure as agreed with the Board of Trustees.
We are looking for a good people person, able to engage and inspire others, who demonstrates a collaborative approach to working with a range of stakeholders and in particular AFRIL clients who come from a variety of backgrounds. The postholder will be highly organised, have good project planning and execution skills, and a good working knowledge of the issues affecting refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. The AI Opportunity Fund, led by the Centre for Public Impact with support from Google . org, is currently a €16 million initiative aimed at empowering underserved workers across Europe with essential AI skills. The programme has selected 73 organisations from hundreds of applications to provide tailored AI training to at least 20,000 workers across 24 European countries. These organisations focus on diverse communities, including rural job seekers, underemployed women, and public sector workers, aiming to bridge the digital divide and promote economic resilience. The initiative underscores AI's potential to drive social mobility and equitable growth across the continent. We are also hoping to scale our work in this area in the future.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Grants Programme Manager to ensure the successful delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the operational leadership of the programme, ensuring that it is planned and executed effectively on time, on budget and within scope. A key focus of the role is ensuring that the grant-giving component of the programme is designed and stewarded diligently.
This is a middle management role that is primarily operational with some elements of strategic leadership. Are you a creative powerhouse with a passion for youth engagement and health advocacy? Chairty People are thrilled to be working again with a wonderful charity with a strong brand to find them a temporary Creative Content Manager to join a vibrant, mission driven charity that is gearing up for a major campaign. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact by creating compelling content that resonates with young people.
You will be supporting a super busy marketing team during a key campaign period, helping to plan and produce content across social media channels. The charity's main platforms are Instagram and TikTok, with growing activity on YouTube, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
Your role will be a mix of hands-on content creation and agency collaboration, working closely with internal teams to showcase their work and amplify key messages.
Key aspects of the role:
- Develop youth-focused, trend-savvy content ideas for social media
- Capture, edit, and deliver high-quality video and photo content
- Create static visuals using Canva
- Write engaging, on-brand copy for posts and community interactions
- Manage and schedule posts via the content calendar
- Analyse performance and report on content effectiveness
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager on strategy and execution
- Activate small paid campaigns via Meta Ads Manager
- Attend events to capture live content
You will bring:
- Proven experience creating content that has a focus on young people being the key audience, especially on TikTok
- Strong skills in video production, photography, and graphic design
- Ability to quickly grasp and reflect the charity's brand and values
- Experience working in or with youth-focused charities or youth related brands
- Comfortable briefing and working with creative agencies
- Experience working with influencers or creators would be a bonus
