Job Summary
Under its current 5-year strategy (2021 – 2025), ‘Choosing Peace in times of fear & division’, Place for Hope has successfully grown and diversified its partnerships, funding and volunteer team. This has enabled us to grow our reach and impact in equipping people and faith communities to be peacemakers working towards a more peaceful and reconciled world.
The new Director of Place for Hope will continue to develop Place for Hope as they work with Trustees, Staff and Volunteers to shape and finalise the next 5-year strategy that ensures Place for Hope is fit for purpose in a changing UK landscape for charities and faith communities. They will provide leadership and to be responsible for the overall management and administration of the charity within the strategic and accountability frameworks agreed by the Board of Trustees.
Previous experience essential to the role includes: values-based leadership; peace, conflict transformation and/or mediation; collaborating and communicating effectively with different Christian denominations and other faiths, excellent organisational and communication skills, and experience in income generation (including through building diverse partnerships).The ideal candidate would also have an interest in supporting faith communities to transform conflict, navigate change well and be able to support an internal CPD programme and culture of reflective practice.

Salary Scale: £50,410 per annum (full time equivalent)
Hours per week: 35 hours per week
Status: Permanent (following 3-month Probation)
Location: Home based with frequent travel across the UK and with some flexibility for weekend/evening work

Role Overview:
The Talent Set is thrilled to be working for a fantastic charity who are seeking a proactive and creative Digital Engagement Executive to join their marketing and communications team for an initial 3 months.
This role is pivotal in building meaningful engagement across social media and email platforms, managing community interactions, and supporting campaign delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing online communities, producing content, and ensuring communications reflect our brand values and tone of voice. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a sharp eye for detail, strong digital instincts, and the resilience to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a split remit across social media and email communications
- Oversee community management on platforms such as Facebook and TikTok – responding to comments and ensuring timely engagement
- Support email delivery with link checking, tone of voice reviews, and accessibility compliance
- Create engaging content tailored to specific channels and audiences
- Contribute to major projects including the Summer and Winter appeals with a focus on expanding reach through advertising
- Support IP warming strategies following changes to email infrastructure to improve deliverability and reduce spam flagging
- Monitor social channels and flag potential crisis communication scenarios to the PR team
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring brand and compliance alignment.
Person Specification:
- Previous experience managing and engaging communities on Facebook and TikTok
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
- Confident using email platforms – experience with Marketing Cloud is desirable (or similar tools such as Braze or HubSpot)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Proactive, dependable, and trustworthy with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable navigating and responding to challenging or sensitive public comments
- Strong understanding of accessibility standards and digital best practices
- A calm, solutions-focused mindset under pressure
What’s on Offer:
- A day rate of £102 to £122 per-day plus daily holiday (PAYE).

The role
As Community Fundraiser you will build and develop fundraising relationships in the community, by providing excellent stewardship and support to Fundraising Groups and volunteers, in order to increase income and deliver the agreed Community Fundraising strategy.
You will work across the region to both identify, research and form new fundraising groups in the community by organising community days and meeting potential volunteers face to face. You will also create and deliver an annual volunteer recruitment plan to grow numbers of volunteers in dedicated roles.
About You
As a Community Fundraiser you will be an incredible relationship builder with good communication skills. Although it is desirable you will have had some experience in the Charity sector, we are also open to people with transferable skills who would love to start a career in fundraising. Working towards targets is also desirable.
This role is remote with travel across Staffordshire, Shropshire and the Black Country. Please note that you must be a car driver with access to a car. The closing date is the 18th May.
