Reporting to the Head of Policy and Public Affairs, as Media and Campaigns Manager you will create campaigns, partnerships and content that have innovation at their heart and support the organisation's advocacy goals. You'll work in close collaboration with the Marketing Communications team to grow reach and engagement across communication channels, delivering campaigns that mobilise support and leverage media opportunities.
Salary: £30,961 plus Regional Weighting (£4,454 in London). All staff also receive £600 per year work from home allowance.
Contract: Permanent position, 35 hours per week with part time (four days/28 hours) and job share options considered
Location: Remote home based role with a small amount of office time four days per year to staff days, plus some travel for meetings as and when required for your role. This is a national role and we encourage applicants from across the UK to apply.

Key responsibilities within this role will be as follows:
- Develop and implement effective campaigns to raise awareness and drive action on priority issues for AdviceUK, including the effective delivery and evaluation of the #AdviceSaves campaign that includes Advice Week
- Work with the Marketing and Communication Manager to build engagement with members in support of campaigns and advocacy work, including developing social media strategies
- Alongside Policy and Public Affairs colleagues, deliver high-quality communications products including media articles, reports, blogs, presentations, web and social media content that communicate complex messages clearly and effectively to stakeholders
- Manage media and campaign areas of the website, creating regular, engaging and evidence-based content
- Devise and deliver a media strategy to secure coverage which advances AdviceUK's strategic objectives and ensures a diverse and inclusive approach
- Identify and produce engaging stories for a wide range of national, sector and local media across England, Wales and Scotland, and work with colleagues internally to communicate this content across channels
- Use a range of material to support this media communications activity including press releases, website content, video, animation, graphics, case studies and media briefings
- Work with Policy and Public Affairs colleagues to ensure effective communication of policy positions in responses to the media, opinion pieces and features and briefings for journalists
- Develop constructive relationships with journalists across the national and sector media, working with them to place proactive stories and briefing them on latest AdviceUK activity
- Support reputation management for AdviceUK and develop and maintain public position statements for key issues, advising and supporting AdviceUK staff where appropriate
We'd love to hear from individuals with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience within a media and campaigning role
- Ability to create multi-channel integrated campaigns with a strong eye for developing content that supports calls for action
- Experience of delivering media strategies that deliver news and features coverage
- Ideally some understanding of the social welfare advice sector
- Well-developed stakeholder relationship management experience, including of nurturing positive relationships with journalists, and of working in partnership to deliver joint campaigns
- Experience of media communication planning, monitoring and evaluations in order to support decision making and improve engagement and impact
- Experience and expertise in translating evidence, data and research into compelling media-friendly content for a range of channels

About the role
We have a new and exciting opportunity to work with us as an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Manager (External) to provide continuity while our EDI Strategy Lead is on maternity leave. Reporting to the Executive Director, Impact and working with key stakeholders and colleagues across the whole organisation, you will help ensure alignment between our external For Everyone Strategic Framework and our new organisational strategy. As a charity for everyone, this framework outlines our approach to embedding equity, diversity and inclusion internally within our organisation and externally in our delivery work.
As the EDI Manager (External) you will be supporting the Senior Leadership Team to deliver core actions from the For Everyone External Action Plan. You will also be responsible for reporting and evaluating progress on the implementation of the For Everyone External Action Plan.
You will be overseeing the consistent implementation of Sustrans Approaches, a new document that sets out the services that Sustrans offers, with a particular focus on inclusive design and delivery. As part of this, you will be providing guidance, training and bespoke support to colleagues, so that they feel confident and competent in inclusive design principles and practice.
Ensuring quality and timely execution, you will be managing specific EDI work projects and change initiatives, as outlined in the External Action Plan and/or Sustrans Approaches. This includes coordinating colleagues across UK-wide teams to share knowledge, resources and good practice on embedding equity, diversity and inclusion across our external projects.

AdviceUK makes a big impact. Its stakeholder, policy and advocacy work is across devolved nations as well as the UK. The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will manage policy and public affairs activities, ensuring AdviceUK has a strong voice, and messages are heard at a national and regional level across England, Scotland and Wales, leading to policy change for the benefit of people seeking advice and the communities served by members. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering proactive stakeholder management and working with partners to deliver policy goals and/or research activity. We're looking for a temporary Face-to-Face (F2F) Manager in the North and East region. This is a fantastic opportunity within the RNLI to play a vital role in developing and growing the RNLI in-house F2F Fundraising team.
This role will be required to manage a team of face-to-face fundraisers who will sign up regular supporters within a defined geographical area and raise vital long-term funding for the charity. This will include opportunities to work alongside other specialist teams including our volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards, playing an integral part in reaching both local and team income targets and contributing towards the wider objectives of the RNLI.

Your role
As a F2F Manager you will:
- Recruit, train and performance manage a team of motivated F2F Fundraisers.
- Manage and develop a portfolio of fundraising locations in Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Cleveland and Yorkshire areas.
- Measure performance against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) i.e. targets and budget.
- Create and execute detailed delivery plans, mitigating for risks and opportunities.

About you
Working at the frontline of our fundraising activities, you’ll have excellent communication skills, people management capabilities, proven track record of working to targets and a passion to manage a team who engage with the beach-going public and event visitors to get their commitment for regular support for the cause.
You’ll be an effective team player with a pragmatic and solution focussed approach to problem solving and a calm approach to a busy workload. You’ll be positive, confident, determined, resilient, with very strong communication skills and naturally outgoing.
You’ll be a self-starter who can lead an energetic and innovative team to success. Able to adhere to codes of conduct, policies and be Fundraising Regulator compliant in all that you do and deliver. You’ll be flexible and prepared to work out of office hours with considerable travel throughout the year, peaking through the summer months. Substantial annual leave during the summer would not be practical for this role.
To be considered as the F2F Manager (North East), you will need:
- Proven experience and success in face-to-face fundraising. This will either have been gained working for a charity or a fundraising agency.
- Evidence of managing and motivating a team of paid staff or volunteers to achieve goals/targets.
- Excellent communication skills and teamworking ethos.
- Self-motivation and ability to create and prioritise own workload.

Rethink Nature is a partnership of seven leading species conservation organisations whose aim is ‘to combine their extensive knowledge and experience to catalyse the action that species need across the four nations of the UK’. We have received funding from Esmée Fairbairn Foundation to set up a Species Recovery Partnership for NI to strengthen and build the Rethink partnership in NI, and work with government, other eNGOs and key stakeholders to better deliver key outcomes for species. You will work on behalf of the Partnership but be managed by the Head of Species at RSPB NI, and will be responsible for managing the Partnership Administrator. You will also work closely with Rethink Nature UK's Species Advocacy Lead. The role holder can be based anywhere in the UK but will be expected to travel to Northern Ireland (Belfast) approximately once every two months.

We are looking for a highly organised and passionate individual with a good working knowledge of priority species in NI, the mechanisms needed to deliver for them, and the ability to bring stakeholders together. You will be responsible for managing the project to sure that that the following key outcomes are delivered within budget and on time.
- A set of Species Recovery Principles for NI
- A cross-taxa list of highest priority species for NI and concise species action plans (cSAPs) for these species
- A 3-day facilitated workshop to agree on the prioritised list and how the cSAPs and the bid will be developed.
- A NI Species bid, similar to those in GB (Species on the Edge, Back from the Brink, Natur Am Byth), to deliver the critical actions outlined in the cSAPs. This would form the basis of a bid to NLHF for development and delivery funding for a NI species bid.
- A document outlining the key policy and legislative changes needed to deliver for species in Northern Ireland and associated advocacy to ensure it gains attention and influences change.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- Demonstrable experience of developing and working in partnerships to achieve shared outcomes.
- Demonstrable leadership ability, able to lead without line management authority
- Organising meetings, facilitated workshops and events
- Excellent written, spoken communication and presentation skills for a wide variety of audiences
- Competent IT user (e.g. MS packages, Outlook etc)
- Demonstrable ability to manage project budgets and changes within projects
- Able to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
- Proven time management and organisational skills
- Project Management Qualification or appropriate training
- Educated to degree or HND level in a biological or environmental science, or equivalent experience.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of priority species in NI and main mechanisms for delivery of conservation action

The Role
The Mental Health Support Worker will provide flexible, practical, holistic, and accessible support to Gypsies and Travellers across West Yorkshire to improve and promote mental wellbeing. You will be the first point of contact and support for the team of Connectors in your Hubs, attending Teachers’ Forums and Get Togethers where possible and helping with the coordination of data gathering and management. You will oversee the mentoring and youth voice offer in each Hub. About this key role
This multi-faceted role will see our successful candidate produce monthly management accounts for St Giles Trust with commentary and key performance indicators, monitor and report on budget and prepare financial forecasts and projections, plus prepare monthly schedules such as deferred income, accruals, and prepayment in accordance with accounting policies.
We will also count on you to monitor expenditure and income and support budget holders in managing the delegated budget by providing monthly reports on income, grant, and expenditure and to monitor the organisation’s expenditure and income, as well as supporting managers with the preparation of funders’ monthly or quarterly reports on fund usage. Coordinating the year-end financial accounts and supporting the Head of Finance to ensure a smooth process and being point of contact for all financial systems related matters are also key aspects of the role.
What we are looking for

• Experience of managing the payroll process
• Experience of preparing management accounts returns for funders, reconciling fundraising figures to budgets/actuals on financial systems

About the role:
As a Caseworker, you will play a vital role in providing high quality, end-to-end support to victims of crime to cope and recover. You will be responsible for establishing contact with victims to assess the impact of crime and providing appropriate information and support. As the needs and experiences of our clients are wide-ranging, the support you will provide will range from brief interventions over the telephone to longer term 1:1 and telephone based support.

Friends of Ibba Girls School, South Sudan (UK charity number 1146220)
Friends of Ibba Girls School, South Sudan (FIGS), was established in 2011 in response to a specific request from local community leaders to help them build and develop a girls’ residential school in South Sudan. Ibba Girls Boarding School (IGBS) now educates 360 primary and secondary school girls from across the whole of Western Equatoria State and employs 40 staff (teachers, matrons, cooks and other support staff). The school is on a large, green campus and provides not only high-quality teaching but a visible demonstration of the benefits of school education in South Sudan, where most girls leave school before the end of primary and very few achieve secondary qualifications. FIGS is a relatively small organization but it is making a substantial impact by providing a model of good quality girls’ schooling across South Sudan.
FIGS has achieved notable successes – the school which opened in 2014, initially with 40 girls, has now reached its full size of 360 girls, with excellent exam results and has reduced dropout from school. It is nurturing empowered women who can exercise leadership locally and nationally for this newly independent nation. FIGS works closely with the experienced and widely-acclaimed Windle Trust International, who provide technical financial and organizational support to the school in South Sudan.
FIGS has raised about £4 million over the last 10 years, particularly through relational fundraising. Running costs for a boarding school in South Sudan are around £ 1/3 million each year, so fundraising is a key task for FIGS.
This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced fundraiser with a strong and demonstrable track record to play a crucial role in expanding the donor base of FIGS, while sustaining and engaging the large network of existing supporters and donors. You will lead the fundraising work and will use your skills across a wide range of fundraising functions, including expanding the number and range of individuals, corporates, philanthropists, schools, churches, legacies and trusts.
We need the help of a talented individual to implement FIGS’ fundraising strategy and action plan, working with those Trustees who are able to give some time to fundraising and with solid help from a part-time fundraising consultant. There is plenty to enjoy in the varied work, where one can see visible results in the impact it has on the school, its students and staff, parents and communities across Western Equatoria State and across the nation of South Sudan.
The post can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis (where part-time is at least 3 days a week). It will be on a self-employed consultancy basis. Hours can be flexible by arrangement. The person will work mainly from home, liaising online with Trustees and others, but some travel to events in London and elsewhere will be needed on an occasional basis. We are looking for someone to start as soon as mutually convenient. A contract will be one year in the first instance, and can be renewed subject to satisfactory performance. The remuneration as a self-employed person is in the range of £35-42K dependent on track record and experience (or pro rata).
Key responsibilities
· To support the delivery of the fundraising plan, achieving or exceeding targets and KPIs, both financial and non-financial as agreed with the Chair of FIGS Trustees and Chair of its fundraising group.
· To identify and generate new fundraising opportunities, from the corporate and philanthropic sectors, as well as from organizations, groups and individuals
· To widen the existing network of donors, based on relationship development and management and engagement with existing supporters and donors, and creating new opportunities
· To generate a pipeline of activities across a range of fund-raising streams
· Develop strong relationships with all external stakeholders.
· Produce progress reports for FIGS Trustees about fundraising in relation to targets and budget and make recommendations for future streams of work.
