You’ll work closely with the Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Manager to research prospects, write compelling applications, manage reporting, and build warm, meaningful relationships with funders who want to make a real impact.
In this role, you’ll contribute to raising around £500,000 a year to fund life-saving research and vital support services for patients and families. This is an exciting role which has been created specifically to deliver an ambitious legacy events programme. Initially a fixed-term temporary role with scope to continue. Legacy fundraising is undergoing a transformation at the RNLI. Legacies account for over two thirds of the RNLI’s annual income today and will continue to be a vital fundraising stream for many years to come. Your role
As a Legacy Engagement Manager in the Legacy Team, you will be focused on:
- Developing and delivering a world-class stewardship programme, with personalised experiences for existing and new high-level pledgers in your area.
- Developing and leading on a programme of tailored events to suit pledgers and prospects at varying stages of their legacy journey.
- Collaborating with regionally based colleagues to deliver legacy training to community teams and develop a legacy volunteer network.
- Working with the wider Legacy team supporting integrated plans to embed our Legacy and In Memory Giving messaging throughout our community networks.
About you
You’ll be comfortable nurturing long-term relationships and exceeding customer expectations. Working collaboratively with colleagues in other disciplines, you’ll create a network of legacy advocates. To be considered for this role you’ll need to have:
- Experience in planning, managing and delivering events and exhibitions.
- Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of event management principles, event resources and best practice.
- Demonstrable experience in relationship management.
- Excellent skills in communicating in person, on phone/video or in writing to a range of audiences.
- Excellent and effective relationship management with internal stakeholders to ensure that plans are integrated with RNLI activity across multiple departments.
- Ability to work in an organised and structured manner balancing your time appropriately to meet short term and longer-term goals.
- Capability to travel to meet donors and ability to work on your own or collaboratively within a larger team.
- A valid driving licence.

About this role
SPANA is investing in its Grants and Compliance function to strengthen financial oversight and accountability across its global partnerships. Financial management

In relation to the financial management of individually funded projects, you will support the Finance and Funds Business Partner in monitoring spend against budgets through accountability mechanisms agreed with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust finance team.
Financial control and administration
You will play a key role in ensuring robust financial control across the Charity group. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for tasks such as ensuring timely and accurate reconciliations are completed and addressing any variances or discrepancies as part of month-end processes or preparing month-end management accounts for review by the Head of Finance. You will be supporting the Charity’s aim of maintaining strong governance across both charitable and commercial operations.

The Finance Officer is a newly created role that marks an exciting step in the Charity’s transition toward greater in-house financial management. Previously managed under a service level agreement with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust, key aspects of financial management are now being brought into the organisation to strengthen control and governance.
Day-to-day financial transaction processing will continue to be delivered by The Christie NHS Foundation Trust during the initial months of the role, therefore, the postholder will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with their finance team to ensure seamless operations and continuity across the Charity group. These are anticipated to transfer to the Charity group with the postholder taking on a subset of these responsibilities within the first year in post.
This post would suit an individual who enjoys working in a dynamic, evolving environment, where responsibilities may shift in response to organisational priorities. The postholder must be comfortable navigating ambiguity, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Duties and key responsibilities
Financial Administration and Bookkeeping
- Responsibility for maintaining all financial records and data accurately and within agreed systems, to include:Maintaining up-to-date records in Sage 50.
- Importing bank receipts into Sage from Raiser’s Edge NXT.
- Processing purchase invoices, card transactions, and payments, ensuring correct coding to nominal and departmental ledgers.
- Maintaining payment records and reconciling grant payments within Sage 50 and grant management software.
- Generating sales invoices and carrying out credit control on a regular basis.
- Ensuring prompt payment of invoices and preparing payments with the bank for review by the Director of Finance & Resources.
- Maintaining the expense management system in line with policies and ensuring timely authorisation and reimbursement.
- Ensuring accurate records of authorisation and financial approvals.
- Preparing and posting all month-end journals.
- Completing monthly reconciliations for all bank accounts.

Budget Management
- Supporting the preparation of the annual Excel-based organisational budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Participating in budget meetings with managers to ensure robust and realistic financial plans.
- Assisting project managers with the preparation of Excel-based project budgets.
Audit
Preparation for the annual audit and compliance with statutory financial reporting requirements, including:
- Preparing audit documentation and working papers in collaboration with the Director of Finance & Resources.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for auditors, coordinating documentation requests before and during audit week.
Other
- Ensuring financial policies and processes remain fit for purpose, recommending and implementing improvements where needed.

We're seeking a candidate with substantial experience coordinating technology delivery across complex, multi-system environments in organisations such as public buildings, museums or cultural institutions. You'll bring strong knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies alongside a good understanding of digital platforms, smart building ecosystems, AV and data systems.
Exceptional stakeholder and vendor management skills are essential as is experience in risk management, scheduling, and documentation. You will ideally have relevant professional qualifications in IT, systems architecture and project management.

We are seeking exceptional applicants for the new post of Head of Safety and Risk, based at our head office in Stockport, to lead on the management of safety and risk across our organisation. The Head of Safety and Risk will be a key member of our highly performing senior leadership team and will contribute to our wider success and positive reputation. This senior leadership role will include specific responsibility for:
· Management of the Health & Safety team and functions
· Providing a responsive and customer-focused Health & Safety Helpdesk
· Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation and regulations
· Development and ongoing management of the Health & Safety inspection programme
· Oversight of incidents, accidents & RIDDOR cases (including appropriate escalation & follow up)
· Undertaking investigations and supporting the Executive Team with incident management, identifying root causes, leading/attending strategy meetings and implementing follow up actions
· Case management of insurance claims and other high risk safety cases
· Writing and presenting professional reports and safety briefings
· Providing accurate data, reports, advice and assurance to the Executive Team and Board
· Collaborating across departments to ensure effective safety governance & risk management
· Reporting to and liaising effectively with regulatory bodies & other external stakeholders
· Devising and implementing safety-related campaigns and the dissemination of safety information
· Embedding effective risk assurance, risk management and continuous improvement
· Oversight of our vehicles management function and line management of the Vehicles Officer
· Contributing to the review of the corporate Risk Register
· Championing a proactive culture of risk prevention and management aligned to strategic and business objectives
In order to fulfil this role, you will need a track record in the management of health and safety in a health, care or housing environment, and a relevant safety qualification. You will demonstrate understanding of the Health & Safety at Work Act and other safety legislation and regulatory requirements. You will be conscientious, well organised, and able to clearly delegate to others whilst maintaining personal accountability. A proactive, assertive, and confident approach is essential, as is the ability to lead and motivate your team to provide excellent customer service and meet performance expectations and KPIs.
You must demonstrate a high standard of written English, with the ability to write professional reports. You will have strong IT and data management skills, including the confident use of word, PowerPoint, spreadsheets and databases. The ability to critically read documents and accurately identify facts, issues, and root causes is essential. You will be able to research and evaluate information, and take responsibility for staying up to date with changing legislation, case law and emerging good practice.
You will be required to handle information of a confidential nature and must observe the highest standards of diligence and professionalism, with excellent attention to detail. You must be able to represent Creative Support in a credible and assuring manner, and liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

We can offer full time (37.5 hours) or part-time hours, subject to a minimum of 30 hours, with the expectation of some flexibility to attend evening meetings and undertake national travel.
The post will be based in our Head Office in Stockport. Our offices are readily accessible via public transport, as we are based in in the centre of Stockport and close to the mainline train station. Due to the need for travel to our sites across the country, you must be a car driver with a current cleaning driving licence. We can provide a lease car or taxable monthly car allowance of £250 per month.

As an Enhanced Support Worker you will support vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community, by providing flexible and individually tailored support.
The working pattern involves a set five-week rolling rota covering early, late, and weekend shifts. Shift times: Early: 8am-4pm. Late: 2:30pm-10:30pm. The service operates 24 hours 7 days a week.
