The service has been designed to provide a more joined-up approach to supporting those experiencing mental health and financial difficulties by providing mental health support in local Citizen’s Advice premises. We’re looking for a qualified counsellor to triage clients and deliver 1:1 clinical interventions. This role offers the opportunity to work predominantly face to face and receive support with ongoing personal and professional development through regular supervision and training opportunities.

Role Overview:

The Role
The Senior Evidence Officers sit within the Evidence Team and involve leading highly impactful evidence synthesis projects. These projects contribute to the Toolkit – a suite of tools aimed at distilling the best available evidence and embedding evidence into policy and practice. Key responsibilities will include:

About You

We are seeking to appoint a full-time Events and Marketing Assistant to provide support for a range of events and marketing-related activities. The Role
The person appointed will report to the Director of Marketing and Communications and work as part of a small team of staff responsible for events and marketing. The person will be involved in all aspects of the marketing and events team’s work including:

- Running online events including recording and editing of video recordings;

The Role
This is a key role within Revitalise Trust, to help meet our fundraising targets by effectively managing a UK portfolio of existing donors and sourcing and securing new ones. Summary of the Role
Wales receives less than half the UK’s per-person civil society funding, a situation worsened by COVID-19, EU funding loss, public cuts, and the cost-of-living crisis. This is having a crippling impact on community groups and charities' ability to do their critical work. Climate Cymru is action-focused, has a large reach across Welsh society and is on a mission to do something about this issue. This role leads this potentially transformative work.
The post-holder will engage directly with trusts, foundations, philanthropic funders and collaborative networks to unlock more funding for groups in Wales. They will also lead the development of innovative, practical solutions to improve how funding is distributed, particularly to grassroots, under-resourced and historically excluded communities. This includes rolling out pioneering models of shared capacity, developing a Wales-specific environmental funding database, and providing strategic guidance to groups seeking funding.
The Head of Funding Innovation will work to influence funders, reshape funding infrastructure, and build the capacity of the Climate Cymru movement to access the resources it needs. Working closely with the Head of Renewable Energy and the wider Climate Cymru team, this role will be central to ensuring that funding systems in Wales are fairer, more inclusive, and better able to meet the scale of the climate and nature crisis.
Additionally, the role involves communicating the compelling cases for investment in Wales, and working with Climate Cymru’s communication team to gather and share powerful stories to help shift narratives around Wales as a place for ambitious, high-impact funding.
Specific responsibilities for the role
Funding strategy & funder engagement
- Develop and implement a strategy to increase the volume and accessibility of trust, foundation and philanthropic funding for climate, nature and social justice work in Wales.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with UK-wide and Wales-based funders, including trusts, foundations, philanthropic networks and collaborative funding bodies.

As the Head of Philanthropy, you will inherit a successful philanthropy area of fundraising for the organisation and will devise and implement a comprehensive strategy to build income from individuals across the full suite of structured giving schemes. You will personally scope and secure new major gifts from individuals and lead the organisation’s approach to alumni fundraising, working collaboratively with the Alumni team to appropriate engage programme beneficiaries. The Head of Philanthropy will also be responsible for relationships with Board members, Fellows, alumni donors and legacies.
To be successful as the Head of Philanthropy will be an experienced manager and fundraiser, confident in securing new business through active prospecting and networking and ingrained knowledge of how to secure and steward HNWIs. This will ideally have been done at the six-figures-plus level and you will have significant experience networking to build and manage relationships that lead to major gifts.
This role is a full-time permanent position that will have hybrid working in the London offices for at least two days per week. The salary for this role is £56,000 to £68,000.

The Refugee and Migrant Centre is seeking to appoint two Employment Coaches, one full-time and one part-time – to support clients in overcoming barriers to employment and moving closer to the labour market.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide one-to-one employment support to clients, including CV building, job search assistance, interview preparation, and completing job applications.
· Assess clients' skills, experience, and employment goals to develop tailored action plans.

Essential Requirements:

The Marine Society & Sea Cadets (MSSC) is a vibrant and growing charity delivering life changing nautical adventure for young people through the Sea Cadets to give them the best possible head start in life. We also provide personal and professional development opportunities for seafarers with the Marine Society. Working with our staff, cadets, and volunteers, we have built a vision and five-year strategy to take us forward and further improve the astounding contribution already made through our work to the lives of thousands of young people and seafarers, while fully supporting our volunteers who are vital to our success.
We are currently looking for an OTW Project Assistant who will support the delivery of the On The Water project at one of our boating stations in Birmingham. The project provides young people from outside Sea Cadets, age 9-14, the opportunity to get on the water, learn new skills and build confidence through boating activity. This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, inspiring, organized, creative, tenacious, positive, IT competent and with a real interest in people with a attention to detail and real enthusiasm for the project.
Project delivery takes place between 29 July 2024 and 30 August 2025 when the young people will be attending boating sessions. During this busy time the Project Assistant will be based at the boat station each day to complete registration, manage group change overs, track project targets, encourage survey completion and fill booking gaps. Prior to delivery the role will be focused on supporting the booking process and engaging in community outreach. Once delivery is complete, the Project Assistant role will then predominantly be supporting the evaluation and data collection as well as supporting participants to join their local Sea Cadet unit.
Key Responsibilities
- The welcoming and registration of participants for the On The Water project
- Collecting and uploading daily statistics and figures that show how the project is progressing
- Making new and repeat bookings
- Talking to participants and their parents/carers about the opportunities within Sea Cadets
- Managing a waiting list and reducing drop-outs
- Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of participants alongside the Boat Station staff
- Ensure that participants complete surveys to share their experience of the project and encourage adults to feedback on their young people’s experience
- Attend any meetings as required by the project
- Assist with the evaluation of the On The Water project

As an Advisor, you will play a vital role in delivering professional and effective advice to a diverse range of service users. You will work within a dedicated team to provide advocacy, guidance, and casework support, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our beneficiaries.
Purpose and Scope of the Role
- To provide high-quality advice and advocacy to service users in areas related to their welfare.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Casework and Advice
- Provide one-to-one support, advice, and advocacy for clients on immigration, asylum, and welfare-related matters.
- Ensure casework is conducted professionally, accurately recorded, and aligned with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality in all interactions and ensure clients' needs are met in a sensitive and satisfactory manner.
- Support and mentor volunteers where required.
- Stay up to date with legal and policy changes relevant to the sector.
Teamwork and Collaboration
- Work closely with senior colleagues to drive efficiency and improve service delivery.
- Represent RMC at external meetings and events when required.
- Maintain strong working relationships with partners, stakeholders, and external agencies.
- Share knowledge and best practices within the team to create a collaborative working environment.
Training and Development
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Keep accurate records of training attended and share learning with colleagues.
- Contribute to internal and external training sessions as required.

Essential Criteria
- Experience providing advice and casework support to asylum seekers, refugees, and vulnerable migrants.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to distressed clients.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload.

Desirable Criteria

- Educated to degree level or equivalent.

Terms and conditions of employment
The following conditions of service will apply:
Salary
£23,500 – £25,00 (dependent on experience)
Location
Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall or Dudley
Pension
RMC will contribute 3% of gross basic salary
Holidays
21 days per year plus public holidays pro rata for part-time post. Holiday entitlement increases to 24 days after 2 years and 29 days after 5 years
Hours of Work
35 hours per week (excluding lunch breaks). Some evening and weekend work may be required for which time off in lieu should be claimed
Probation
This post will have a probationary period of 6 months
Notice
One month’s notice of termination of employment on either side.

Travel expenses

Flexibility
In order to deliver the stated aims of this post, a degree of flexibility is needed and the post holder may be required to perform work not specifically referred to above. Such duties will fall within the scope of the job within the appropriate pay grade. The job description will therefore be subject to periodic review with the post holder to ensure it accurately reflects the duties that are being performed.

GamCare is looking for dedicated Night Shift Helpline Advisers to provide essential support to those affected by gambling-related harm.
GamCare offers helpline support through multiple channels, including our Freephone Helpline, Live Chat, WhatsApp, and other digital platforms such as forums and chatrooms. The Helpline operates 24/7, 365 days a year, ensuring support is always available.
As the first point of contact, you will offer help, advice, and emotional support to individuals struggling with their own or someone else’s gambling. You will work exclusively on night shifts as part of our award-winning Helpline team (Helpline of the Year), following a two-week rotating schedule with shifts running from 10:30 PM to 7:30 AM.
The working hours are 28 hours per week (average). Hours are between 10.30pm and 7.30am.
In return, we will provide you with comprehensive training, regular supervision, and a full CPD programme to support your development.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will hold a professional qualification in Health, Social Care, Psychology, Youth or Community Care, such as NVQ Level 3 or above, or a Diploma in Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, Addiction Studies, Advice, and Guidance. Alternatively, you will have demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable individuals affected by addiction harm and/or complex needs.
We also welcome applications from those with lived experience of gambling-related harm, provided they have professional experience in a supportive environment and a strong understanding of safeguarding legislation.
You will be able to engage effectively, sensitively, and with empathy when supporting callers reaching out to GamCare. The ability to deliver non-judgemental, confidential support is essential to this role.
Additionally, you will be committed to maintaining a strong understanding of problem gambling and will have a genuine interest in the areas of gambling addiction, treatment, early intervention, and prevention.

You’ll be working with our other full-time coordinator, as well as a dynamic group of volunteers and visitors, helping to keep the Hub running day-to-day, as well as reaching out into the community to promote diversity and inclusion within the Hub.
Your special focus will be reaching out and drawing in: connecting with communities, groups and people around Swindon who are not using the Hub; building relationships, working in partnership and organising events and activities to see that the Hub is as inclusive and diverse as it can be.
