Job details:

• Location: FLEX office, Vauxhall, London - Flexible hybrid working with a mixture of in person and home/office working.

This is a hugely exciting time to work for the UK’s leading dementia charity. Our content reaches hundreds of thousands of people affected by dementia. Our practical advice helps users feel less isolated and make informed life decisions. It connects them to support that can make a huge difference to those living with dementia and their families and carers. 
At the heart of our ambition is creating inclusive information to offer a better future. We are always looking to improve what we do and how we do it. Can you bring content expertise to help us reach wider audiences, especially those who find it harder to access information and support? You’ll create content for a variety of audiences in different formats, such as Easy Read and translations and across print and online channels, including audio.  
In this role, you will work with the Publishing and Editorial Manager and our Content and Digital teams to deliver meaningful impact on the lives of people affected by dementia. We are part of the Income & Engagement directorate, focused on establishing the urgency of quality care and support for people with dementia and driving the engagement to resolve this. We are looking for a data engineer with experience of developing and maintaining ETL pipelines to move data between enterprise applications. Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for developing ETL processes using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse, linking from a variety of data sources to various targets on-prem, in cloud platforms and in Azure.

We’ll also rely on you to ensure business requirements for new data feeds or changes are understood and translated into efficient and effective technical solutions. You will transform and centralise raw data from multiple platforms into user friendly reporting data, as well as explore new ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of data management across Shelter.

This is an incredible opportunity to take part in our paid full-time 12-week programme which will run between Monday 12th January – Thursday 30th July 2026. This practical programme will help interns to develop their career in an industry they are passionate about.

Our Foundation Intern is required to work 4 days a week, Monday-Thursday, 10am-6pm, for the duration of the programme at one of our London offices and will support a variety of projects within their assigned department. Projects may include but will not be limited to; conducting research, providing general support for the Foundation Executive, admin and data entry tasks. Our successful candidate will be responsible for a range of essential duties, including receiving, reviewing, and securely storing incoming RLSE applications and maintaining accurate and timely records of applications, awards and outcomes. We're looking for a Content Writer to research, structure and write user-centred content for Tearfund's channels. The main purpose of this role is to empower a caseload of service users to manage their health and wellbeing, maintain their independence, identify their strengths and achieve their goals and aspirations, under the direction of the Service Manager. This is a 24/7 service and will require you to complete sleep in shifts as well as cooking for service users at the weekends as well. This can result in longer but few days worked but you will on average only work 39 hours per week.
