Key Responsibilities

Bank Support Workers have the ability to accept any shifts available on an ad-hoc basis across from all of Look Ahead's specialisms including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, Homelessness and Young People. Bank Support Workers will provide support to customers to help them develop the life skills they require to meet the assessed needs of the customers of the service. They will work with customers to promote social inclusion and alongside other members of the team to promote independent living, encouraging customers to maximise their skills and choices. Within Learning Disability services, this will include providing physical, domestic, emotional and social care. Within Mental Health and Homelessness services they will enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package. While carrying out activities, Bank Support Workers should deal with all customers, visitors and staff in a professional and appropriate manner and report to Look Ahead staff and management any observations relating to customers' welfare.

Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities

Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College (BRWC) runs a curriculum of free peer and professional-led workshops and courses across the borough of Bromley. Our aim is to enable students to achieve greater insight into their own mental wellbeing and gain skills to help them achieve personal goals, independence and self-management of their own mental health.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College coordinator to join SEL Mind on a one year fixed-term basis. You will work closely with the Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing Manager to develop a high quality college offer to the residents of Bromley. The role comes with the responsibility to provide day to day support and guidance to a team of tutors and volunteer co-facilitators to ensure efficient delivery of the college.

Background

The Minster Centre is a registered charity and company and specialist integrative counselling and psychotherapy training provider based in Queens Park, London. We are a leading training provider in the sector and currently have around 400 students attending training courses ranging from open access introductory courses to post-graduate degrees.

Thousands of therapists have trained at the Minster Centre since our inception in 1978 and we have an extensive community. Our courses are accredited by the UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy), the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy), and some are validated by Middlesex University. We are also registered with the Office for Students.

The Minster Centre Psychotherapy & Counselling Service (MCPCS) also provides a safe, affordable and professional counselling service to people over the age of 18 who are experiencing a range of difficulties. The service is provided by senior trainees who are in the process of completing their therapy training.

Job summary

The Registry Manager supports all aspects of training and course administration from first enquiry to graduation. This includes introductory courses, professional counselling and psychotherapy qualifications, and MA programmes validated by Middlesex University.  Reporting to the responsible Management Committee Lead, the Registry Manager ensures that we deliver efficient and effective services to support admissions, enrolment, university registration, assessment, progression, HESA data returns, awards, and graduation of our students.

The Registry Manager has line management responsibility for the course administrator, leads on course scheduling, managing student data, organising the Bursaries and Hardship Fund (the Minster Centre Fund), supports key committees, monitors academic progress, and ensures accurate information is presented at Assessment Boards. They will balance day-to-day student matters with supporting the team and working to improve administrative systems.

This is a varied role which is critical for the delivery of The Minster Centre’s strategic objectives and charitable aims. The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, and will have significant relevant experience of administration, ideally within the Higher Education or professional training sectors. A self-motivated person with proven management, communication and interpersonal skills. They will be adaptable, able to work as part of a team, and prioritise a challenging workload.

Main areas of responsibility

The Registry Manager will be responsible for:

Training and course administration

• Organise course scheduling, communicating with various staff during the process, ensuring rooms can be booked and staff contracts are created.
• Oversee and support the Live Assessment scheduling and marking procedures.
• Oversee and support the process for creating student teaching groups.
• Set and disseminate key dates in the academic calendar including term dates annually.
• Be able to identify, contribute to, and action improvements to systems, processes and policies.
• Provide administrative support, including minute taking and any additional administration as required.
• Maintain a Registry Admin Handbook, with regular review and improvement of systems recorded.

Student support and progression

• Ensure that students are enrolled on courses and set up on systems accurately.
• Manage the re-enrolment process between academic years.
• Oversee the recording of student progression.
• Liaise with and support the Operations Team in organising the annual Graduation event and ensuring all eligible students receive timely information.

 

Reporting

• Co-ordinate and support the accurate information recording and preparation for Assessment Boards and liaise with the External Examiner.
• Oversee and support the various HESA data returns as the liaison Senior Contact and ensure all data is accurate and meets various submission deadlines.
• Provide accurate statistical information to the Management Committee for inclusion in annual reports.

Staff management and stakeholder liaison

• Manage the Course Administrator.
• Work with Admissions, Quality, IT, Finance, Training, and Reception Teams throughout the academic year.
• Attend regular staff meetings and work with other key staff to market courses.

Fundraising Manager
We are seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager to develop and deliver income generation from charitable trusts, foundations, and corporate partners.

In this role, you’ll drive forward our trusts, foundations, and corporate partnerships work to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships to support our mission. To enable vulnerable people living in a variety of different tenures to manage their tenancies/ licences and move towards greater independence within the community, by providing flexible and individually tailored support.

What you'll do:

* Undertake initial and continuous assessment of needs and potential risks and agree levels of support actions and capture outcomes in Support and Risk Management files.
* Create support/action plans for providing appropriate services based on the assessment and reflecting the services and resources available.
* Support customers to undertake all domestic tasks wherever possible, including practical assistance where they have not yet developed the skills, to ensure customers enjoy a high quality of accommodation

About the team

This is a very exciting time to be joining Impetus as we aim to support more young people this year than ever before in our history. We are looking for a highly organised and motivated Team Administrator who is excited by the prospect of working for an ambitious Philanthropy team in a sector leading charity. In this varied role, you will have the opportunity to support a variety of different types of donor engagement, including volunteering, pro bono, and events, as well as partnership management, in particular corporate partnerships.​

The Philanthropy team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. There are thirteen members of the team who are responsible for fundraising, events, and donor engagement, as well as collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also delivers a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters. Impetus has an annual income of over £10 million which we are looking to grow to £12-14 million within the next few years. ​

​​The Team Administrator is a highly professional and proactive individual with excellent attention to detail who will directly support a busy and committed team.

​We will expect the successful candidate to come into the office at least two days a week as well as attending a range of fundraising events throughout the year, including two evening events and one weekend event, for which they will receive TOIL.

Key responsibilities

Team Support

• Calendar management for the Philanthropy Team, especially the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, including arranging external meetings for senior fundraisers.
• On-site support at events as required.
• Draft content for internal and external audiences, such as the internal newsletter, team updates or materials on programmes for funders.​Manage incoming enquires quickly and professionally. ​
• Create and maintain efficient processes for managing and recording fundraising enquiries and information on the CRM system (Salesforce). Support room bookings when required.

Salesforce

• Be the point of contact for creating Salesforce reports to help drive fundraising activity.
• Support the logging of meeting notes on Salesforce working with fundraisers to ensure effective knowledge management and appropriate follow-up.
• Support management of Salesforce accounts, ensuring accuracy and up to date information is recorded.
• Support the creation and development of individual dashboards to help track and increase fundraising.
• Responsible for updating Salesforce database with pro bono and volunteering project information including reporting and tracking information.

Donor engagement support

• Assist with research on donors and prospects.
• Support the Pro Bono function, for instance, supporting the sourcing and stewarding of pro bono support from individuals and companies; and with the onboarding and management of pro bono partners, including inductions and ongoing communication.
• Manage the distribution and dissemination of supporter care materials and fundraising merchandise.
• Support with the preparation of templates and collateral such as presentations and donor communications.
• Proofreading of applications, reports and external communications.​Write briefs for senior colleagues in advance of donor meetings.
• ​Demonstrate professionalism and best practice in all duties, comply with the organisation’s policies and procedures and proactively support the wider team to deliver our mission effectively.​

Person specification

Essential:

• Proven experience of working in an administrative role within the charity sector.
• Excellent and demonstrable organisational and administrative skills; with the ability to work under pressure to prioritise a busy and varied workload and meet multiple deadlines.​
• Experience of supporting the processing of donations and financial management systems. ​
• Ability to work with minimal supervision with a pro-active, positive approach and high level of initiative to analyse problems and identify solutions.
• A continual focus on improving service to donors, both internal and external.
• Excellent written communication skills. ​
• Excellent verbal communication skills; with the ability to deal with people at all levels, internally and externally, in a confident, assertive and professional manner.​
