The Charity provide "Expert end of life care, whatever the illness" - not only do they provide outstanding care but they are also raise public awareness of improving end of life care within the UK.
The role
As Community Fundraiser you will build and develop fundraising relationships in the community, by providing excellent stewardship and support to Fundraising Groups and volunteers, in order to increase income and deliver the agreed Community Fundraising strategy.
You will work across the region to both identify, research and form new fundraising groups in the community by organising community days and meeting potential volunteers face to face. You will also create and deliver an annual volunteer recruitment plan to grow numbers of volunteers in dedicated roles.
About You
As a Community Fundraiser you will be an incredible relationship builder with good communication skills. Although it is desirable you will have had some experience in the Charity sector, we are also open to people with transferable skills who would love to start a career in fundraising. Working towards targets is also desirable.
This role is remote with travel across Staffordshire, Shropshire and the Black Country. Please note that you must be a car driver with access to a car. The closing date is the 18th May. The Organisation
The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.
We also manage other important public spaces including Brompton Cemetery and Victoria Tower Gardens. Our eight Royal Parks and other iconic green spaces are among the most visited attractions in the UK with 77 million visits every year.
We are now looking for a Skilled Gardener to join us in Richmond Park on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week.

The Role
As a Skilled Gardener, you will be responsible for the care, cultivation, and maintenance of Richmond Park's 2500 acres of gardens and landscapes.
Delivering practical conservation work and general maintenance tasks, you will protect and enhance the park's conservation status, undertaking repairs and renewals of estate infrastructure and ensuring all park facilities are safe and well-maintained.
You will be tasked with mowing, hedge-cutting, plant care, and tree establishment activities for allocated garden areas, as well as providing guidance and mentorship to apprentices and volunteers, contributing to their training and development by sharing your expertise.
Additionally, you will:
- Operate and maintain countryside machinery and equipment safely
- Implement and promote sustainable gardening practices to enhance biodiversity
- Engage with park visitors, providing information and ensuring their safety and enjoyment
- Participate in planning and programming of work
About You
To be considered as a Skilled Gardener, you will need:
- Demonstrable practical horticultural experience
- The ability to safely operate a range of routine garden machinery, including ride-on mowers, tractors, hedge-cutters, strimmers and leaf blowers
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety
- Good plant knowledge, particularly around shrubs, herbaceous and bulbous plants
- A working knowledge of horticultural plant and machinery operations
- A formal horticultural qualification, such as an NVQ Level 2 in amenity horticulture or RHS (or equivalent experience)
- A full, valid driving licence

Working as part of finance team of two people you will oversee the work of part time Finance Assistant whilst you ensure that all financial reports and operations are completed and delivered in a timely manner.
Your day to day duties at Head of Finance and Pensions include;
- Overseeing and ensuring operations are completed accurately and in a timely manner including purchase and sales ledger
- Oversee month end process including bank and supplier statements
- Complete the month payroll run for 8 staff
- Complete financial reports including forecasts and budgets
- Ensure timely completion year end audit process including a backlog
- Present quarterly financial reports to audit and finance committee
Other skills that you will bring to the position of Head of Finance and Pension;
- Knowledge of financial reporting
- Prior experience in delivering year end audit
- Knowledge of SORP and FRS 102 reports
- Good working knowledge of accounting systems such as Quickbooks
