The Role:
As a Community Fundraiser, you will:

- Fundraising Coordination: Plan, manage, and promote a calendar of community activities, collaborating with the team to meet targets and ensure effective stewardship of supporters.
- Manage and deliver key challenge events: (London Landmarks, Swindon Half, Cycle Challenge, Bath Half and others), overseeing budgets, suppliers and marketing to ensure value for money and meet net income targets.
- Lead the annual Christmas Tree Collection: securing sponsorship, coordinating volunteers and logistics, managing the budget, and achieving the event’s income goals.
- Representation and Advocacy: Act as a passionate ambassador for Prospect Hospice, representing the charity at events, cheque presentations, and meetings while championing its mission.
- Compliance and Promotion: Work with the communications team to promote events, ensuring all activities adhere to fundraising regulations, health and safety standards, and safeguarding policies.
- Flexible and Impact-Driven: Balance a flexible work schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, to drive impactful fundraising efforts and exceed targets, supporting care for patients and families.

Who We Are
Our charity was established in 1992, to provide care and support to people in Sussex, living with and affected by HIV. Over the past three decades there have been huge advances in treatment and care for those affected by the virus. People taking effective anti-retroviral medication (ART’s) can live long lives, with HIV becoming undetectable and untransmittable.
Whilst people who are living with HIV can live longer, many develop other physical co-morbidities as they age and many experience social and self- stigma. Our service users are often from marginalised groups, who often experience inter-sectional discrimination and health inequalities. Many of our service users experience socio-economic disadvantage and have multiple and complex needs.
The Sussex Beacon offers a range of services to people who have been living with HIV for decades through to those who are newly diagnosed. Our services include:

The Role
This is an exciting time for The Sussex Beacon, as we are about to launch our new 2030 Strategic Plan and move to a new era of delivery, through the evolution of our end of life and palliative care for the LGBTQ+ community. The Sussex Beacon will be the first Hospice of its kind in the country tackling stigma and health inequalities for those who are most marginalised in our community.
This role will secure, manage and grow income from corporate partners, supporting The Sussex Beacon’s mission to provide specialist care and support for people living with HIV and its new LGBTQ+ Hospice provision. This role is responsible for building long-term, strategic relationships with businesses, creating tailored partnership opportunities, and contributing to the charity’s wider income generation strategy and its five-year fundraising plan. The postholder will work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to maximise corporate engagement and fundraising potential.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Partnership Fundraising at The Sussex Beacon
The Sussex Beacon has a proud history of working with corporate supporters who are passionate about making a difference. The Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser will lead on identifying new corporate prospects, developing compelling proposals, and managing a portfolio of existing partners. They will create and deliver partnership plans that may include sponsorship, employee fundraising, cause-related marketing, and volunteering. By aligning business objectives with The Sussex Beacon’s values and impact, the postholder will ensure meaningful and sustainable relationships that benefit both parties.
Team Beacon
Team Beacon is the charity’s fundraising event brand, bringing together supporters through challenge events, campaigns, and volunteering. The Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser will work closely with the fundraising team to integrate corporate teams into Team Beacon activities, encourage staff engagement, and develop sponsorship packages for major events such as The Brighton Half Marathon, which we own, and community challenges. This collaborative approach enhances visibility and fosters a sense of shared purpose among partners and supporters alike.
Business Networking Events
The postholder will represent The Sussex Beacon at a variety of business networking events, including LGBTQ+ network events, across Sussex and beyond. These events offer valuable opportunities to connect with potential partners, showcase the charity’s impact, and build strategic relationships. The Fundraiser will be proactive in identifying and attending relevant events, from Chamber of Commerce meetings to local business expos, ensuring The Sussex Beacon maintains a visible and professional presence in the corporate community.
Other Duties
· Maintain accurate records of partner interactions and income through the charity’s CRM system.
· Prepare regular reports and updates for the Head of Income and senior leadership.
· Work with the communications team to highlight successful partnerships and case studies.
· Support the wider fundraising team during peak periods or major campaigns.
· Stay up to date with trends and developments in corporate fundraising and CSR.
· Responsibility alongside fundraising for corporate events such as The Sussex Beacon relay and 5k inflatable course.

The Role
The objectives of the Communications and Campaigns team are to increase the public profiles of Rethink Mental Illness and Mental Health UK, mobilise public support to bring about change and ensure that all colleagues are aware of, bought into and engaged in contributing to the values and direction of the charities.
A natural storyteller, you will have a talent for creating shortform video content that engages key audiences across our social media platforms. By generating ideas and making them happen, sourcing contributors, shooting and editing footage, you will monitor the performance of posts and proactively incorporate best practice to ensure that content is well received by audiences, and that the charities’ presence on its social media channels grows.
You will regularly collaborate with colleagues across both charities, the other founding charities and key partners to create compelling and inspiring content.
Main duties include:
- Creating shortform video content
- Project manage the production of video content for social media campaigns
- Ensure that the charity showcases its advice, information, programmes and services through shortform content.
- Champion and promote the brands, including their tone of voice, in our creative content.
- Working with the Social Media Manager, plan for and produces engaging content for relevant awareness events, including Mental Health Awareness Week in May and World Mental Health Day in October.

About You
A content creator and social media expert you will have experience of planning, shooting and editing footage to engage audiences across different social media platforms and of using creative design software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and Premiere Pro - essential). With an eye for detail, you will use your project management skills to analyse the performance of social media content, refining and improving content through iteration.
You will also have experience of:
- Writing and editing copy to suit different audiences and providing updates and briefings at meetings.
- Being a brand guardian and supporting others to use brand and tone of voice guidelines.
- Planning, creating and scheduling engaging content across multiple social media channels, while optimising content by channel and audience.

Job Purpose
- To lead and deliver Butterfly Conservation’s strategic aims for nature recovery in Wales, maximising our impact for butterflies, moths and people.
- To implement BC’s objectives through leadership of the Wales Nature Recovery team, setting and managing budgets, targets and workplans while inspiring and enabling staff to achieve their best.
- To develop and strengthen collaboration with BC staff, volunteers, stakeholders and partners to drive progress on BC’s targeted species recovery programmes, landscape-scale initiatives and wider nature recovery in Wales.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive delivery of BC’s strategic objectives through designing and managing workplans for the Nature Recovery Wales team, translating ideas into action and ensuring effective reporting to monitor and share evidence of our impact.
- Lead BC’s species recovery work for priority butterflies and moths in Wales, setting objectives and driving targeted action to recover populations of some of our most threatened species.
- Lead our landscape-scale conservation work in Wales, developing and overseeing projects using butterflies and moths as indicators of nature recovery across a landscape.
- Develop and deliver new approaches to contribute to broader nature recovery across Wales, including exploring potential nature markets and developing our advice and services to reach more partners.
- Lead, manage and be accountable for the Nature Recovery team in Wales, including a small number of direct line management reports. Responsible for budgeting, work planning and resource management, including overseeing annual performance management, team meetings, supporting training needs, staff development and well-being.
- Lead the development of new nature recovery projects, including partner liaison, project planning and design, budgeting and reporting to funders. Collaborate with Nature Recovery, Fundraising, and Finance teams to build a case for support and develop bids for external funding through partnerships, appeals and services.
- Oversee the management of BC’s Nature Reserves in Wales through the work of the Conservation Manager, in collaboration with the Ecology Services team, to maximise their contribution to nature recovery.
- Be responsible for Wales Nature Recovery budgets and their control, working closely with the Finance team to ensure effective planning and timely financial reporting.
- Ensure close working between BC staff, Branches and key volunteers in delivering co-ordinated nature recovery action towards BC’s strategic goals across Wales.
- Support the Engagement and Volunteering team in the development and delivery of volunteering activity across Wales, putting people at the heart of our work.
- Work with BC’s policy team and NGO partners to support collaborative work on major policy issues and advocate BC priorities in Wales.

Job Purpose
Join our dedicated Data & Technology department at Operation Smile UK and play a vital role in advancing our digital capabilities. Our website is central to reaching a broad audience with our vital work, and you'll be pivotal in ensuring our online presence is robust, accessible, and effective.
This full-stack role provides an excellent opportunity to lead and contribute across both front-end and back-end development activities. You will also play a leading role in ensuring the OSUK website user interface and user experience is fit for purpose.
As part of our small but ambitious team, you'll be an integral part of creating and implementing our Data and Digital strategy, directly helping us achieve our goal of supporting more children born with a cleft lip and cleft palate.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead in-house web development, initiating a cultural shift to minimise reliance on external agencies for website and platform creation.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's data and digital strategy.
- Serve as the technical product owner for all of OSUK's websites, digital & email platforms.
- Take full ownership of the Gravity Forms to Donorfy Custom API integration.
