About this key role

As our, provide inspiring leadership to the voluntary fundraising team – setting a supportive work culture that inspires staff to develop and contribute to increasing income generation by 10% that aligns with St Giles mission, values and ethos, plus contribute effectively as a member of the wider St Giles leadership team.  You will also identify personal development needs within the team and facilitate staff to build their skills and access training opportunities and work collaboratively to develop and implement effective strategies and new systems for different income streams (Trusts & Foundations, Corporates, Individual Giving, Legacies, Major Donors & Community Fundraising). 

We will also count on you to oversee and generate multi-million income streams with a total value of £5 million per year, refine and test new income streams, including Individual Giving, Legacies and In-Memory, and to work with the communications team to establish stewardship & acquisition campaigns that grow the donor base & awareness of St Giles work.  Devising and delivering an effective cultivation and stewardship programme for prospects and existing donors and partners is also a vital aspect of this role.

• Five years’ experience working in charity or related sector

• Successful track record of achieving targets and growth in fundraising teams

• Three years’ experience of line management and of managing a team.

• Experience of creating, implementing, and tracking strategy and securing buy-in 

• A detailed knowledge of fundraising and changing trends in the funding environment

• The ability to think creatively to secure funding

• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building and communication skills, verbal and written

About The Opportunity

Money Workshops are the core of what we do. Through these sessions, we reach over 40,000 people per year across the UK with our vital financial wellbeing messages. 

This offering is split between two areas of work: Workshops for children and young people (our Financial Education offer), and Sessions & Programmes for adults (what we call Financial Wellbeing Training). About the role

We are seeking a Systems Administrator to join our small, dedicated IT team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for:

• Developing, installing, and maintaining company-wide systems

• Maintenance of the Library’s internal and cloud based systems

Role Summary

The Community Forest Trust (CFT) supports, enables and champions the work of England’s Community Forests, who are the leading woodland creation network in England. We provide a range of support services for the forests including finance functions, payroll and accountable body for funded projects.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Finance and Operations Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for maintaining financial transactions, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with the organisation’s financial policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in a finance role, competency with accounting software and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.

You will also provide support to the CFT Managing Director and team, including diary management, booking travel and accommodation, supporting project delivery and arranging meetings and events. You will possess strong organisational skills, with a focus on providing exceptional assistance to ensure the smooth operation of our daily activities. This role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Work

• Check, process and record payments in accordance with agreed procedures, administer invoices and expenses claims received, ensuring they are forwarded for authorisation in a timely manner, correctly coded and posted on the finance system
• Prepare purchase invoices, add to the payment spreadsheet ready for weekly payment run processing
• Run the Weekly Credit Control cycle, ensuring invoices are raised and sent on time and monitoring aged debtors, chasing late payments as required
• Reconcile the credit cards and bank account and ensure the financial system is up to date
• Support the Finance manager in month end procedures
• Draft monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and finance reports
• Support the preparation of grant claims, ensuring that adequate records are kept

Operations Support

Shout Out UK (SOUK) is a UK-based award-winning political and media literacy organisation with nearly a decade of experience in delivering impactful educational campaigns. Our mission is to defend and amplify democracy by equipping individuals with the critical thinking skills needed to navigate the complex information landscape and engage as informed, active citizens. We have a strong track record of working with educators and young people across various contexts, and we are the secretariat for the UK’s All-Party Parliamentary Group for Political and Media Literacy.

The Position:

You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to manage our programme implementation and delivery. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be tasked with managing the distribution and delivery of our programmes. This will involve ensuring KPIs are met within budget and on time, larger projects may be handled by you directly at times. Programmes can vary from delivery of media literacy workshops in schools, counter extremism training in PRUs to city-wide democratic engagement campaigns.
