Role: To support adults (19+) or young people (aged 12 – 19) who have experienced any form of sexual violence

Hours required: Flexible, although most sessional counsellors work with a minimum of 8 clients a week.

Rates: Rates are £25-£30 per session, counselling rooms provided free-of-charge.

Qualifications:  Counsellors must be qualified and have completed a course by a recognized accrediting body such as, but not limited to, BACP or UKCP.

Time/Locations: Counsellors work flexibly, but we are currently prioritising counsellors able to work face-to-face and at the times outlined in the role description to meet the needs of our clients.

· Attendance of clinical supervision, in line with BACP guidance, provided by a CARA-approved supervisor.

· An open, non-judgemental and reflective attitude.

· Commitment to keep and maintain confidential database records.

· Demonstrable understanding of safeguarding, both in relation to children and to vulnerable adults.

· Reliability.

· Counsellors will be working with clients on behalf of CARA and not on a private basis.  As such, they will be bound by CARA’s processes, policies and procedures.

· Commitment to the feminist ethos of CARA.

· Willingness to commit the necessary time to supporting vulnerable clients.

We’re looking for someone who is versatile – able to switch between the big picture and the detail, with antennae equally alert to risks and opportunities. About The Role

- We would like to welcome applications from passionate and experienced Group Facilitators to join our Hertfordshire team to support our Dementia Support Group provision.
As part of the new Dementia Support contract in Hertfordshire, which started in October 2024, the Alzheimer’s Society has taken over the management and facilitation of dementia support group services across Hertfordshire. Currently we manage 22 centre-based activities groups (weekly) across Herts, in addition to another 4-5 online groups (carers and Young Onset specific). The groups are well established and a crucial means of support to service users and carers.  We are in the process of reviewing our groups, this might result in us developing more new and varied groups (respite, specific communities or location specific) in the coming months.
As a group facilitator you will have many key functions, this will include managing and facilitating weekly activities based groups (could range from 2-4 groups per week), structuring a 12 week program for the groups you manage in consultation with service users and carers; managing volunteers that support your groups, working with local Dementia Advisers to provide 1-2-1 support for groups attendees and establishing relationships with local organisations for the purposes of facilitating signposted support for service users.
You will be joining a team of expert Group Facilitators and Dementia Advisers that are experienced and passionate about their work, and they will support you to undertake your role successfully.

Your work will help build a solid foundation for understanding the progress made in creating safer environments and ensuring that the initiatives are thoroughly documented. • Work with the Health Team to create a theory of change for the Health Domestic Abuse (DA) and Sexual Violence (SV) response.
• Establish an evaluation framework, including the creation of monitoring tools and outcome measures.
• Engage with a wide range of health partners to ensure data is collected in a timely manner, and communicate timeframes and deadlines effectively.
• Collect, collate, analyse, and clean monitoring data, ensuring the data is presented clearly and concisely.
• Prepare and create reports based on monitoring data findings, ensuring distribution to relevant contacts.
• Develop and deliver presentations, workshops, and webinars related to evaluation frameworks and outcomes.

• Strong understanding of domestic abuse and sexual safety concerns, particularly within healthcare settings.

The Role

The purpose of the Communication and Events Officer role is to:

• Communicate National Voices’ all relevant organisational output to members, decision makers, external influencers and media, including policy, improvement, lived experience and insight work.
• Assist the organisation to plan, develop and deliver content and logistics for our operations teams’ internal event commitments, including supporting on the Annual General Meeting, board events and staff team days etc.
• Work with voluntary sector organisations and people with the greatest health and care needs to develop National Voices’ communications positions and deliver against funded project work

The role will be a mix of communications and internal events work, with 75% of the role focused on communications.

Responsibilities

Deliver on our communications work

· Develop engaging content that conveys National Voices messages to members, external stakeholders, and media (including managing the day to day running of social media platforms) to maximise the reach and impact of the organisation’s policy messages and funded project work

· Support the Policy and Communications Manager with media relations activity by drafting media statements, liaising with journalists and other media activity as required

· Create National Voices’ membership content, including member newsletters and member blogs

· Oversee and manage process of external design of National Voices reports with designer

· Manage the comms and events calendar and work with internal and external team to schedule project releases and other events

· Support the maintenance of National Voices’ website, keeping the site up to date and coordinating input and content from National Voices staff and members.

· Coordinate the production of key publications, from liaising with partner organisations to overseeing design and production

· Communications administrative tasks including developing and maintaining press list, tracking press coverage and social media analytics data

· Support operation team’s internal comms around job postings, organisational policy changes, and office announcement.

Support the operations team internal events programme

· Work across the organisation to support our internal events programme including leading on some events. This includes support on logistics like venue booking, arranging catering and providing technical support.  

· Support the creation and development of materials for events and presentations.

· Support in the organisation of our Annual General Meeting and board events where needed.

· Work with the team to lead on staff social events.

· Provide ad hoc support to the operations team as required.

General

· Take a pro-active approach to including our members and people with lived experience in all areas of our work.

· Support the senior team in identifying potential new members and funding opportunities where possible.

· Follow processes set out to measure, monitor and communicate the impact of our work.

Our approach to hybrid working

We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.

We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to-face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.

We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time.

In this vital cross collaborative High Value Partnerships position, the role will involve leading and developing our team of subject matter experts in Prospect Research and Development, Fundraising Information and Cases for Support and High Value Events. About the team

The newly formed High Value Operations & Stewardship team will sit in the High Value Partnerships (HVP) sub-directorate which is part of Shelter’s Income Generation directorate. It’s an award-winning team that is responsible for all areas of high value income generation across philanthropy, trusts and foundations, statutory funders, corporate partners and legacies to power Shelter’s fight for home.

Shelter’s High Value Partnerships (HVP) team is an energetic group of around 50 talented professionals who collectively raise over £30 million each year through voluntary and statutory income. By harnessing the support, networks, influence, and expertise of our supporters, the team plays a crucial role in powering our mission to fight for home.

The role:

This is a key role within the Executive Leadership team, with accountability for Finance, Procurement and IT at the Globe. You will work collaboratively with the CEO and Executive leadership team to drive strong business as usual delivery, and provide provide balanced insight to Executive Leadership Team and the Senior Leadership Group so that they can take responsibility for questioning routines and rituals, and for streamlining processes that improve efficiency.

Bliss is the UK’s leading national charity for babies born premature or sick, and we are looking for a Baby Charter Programme Lead to join our enthusiastic and passionate team.

Role Details

We are looking for someone with a passion to improve healthcare for babies born premature or sick, through the leadership of Bliss’ major practice improvement programme, the Bliss Baby Charter.

The Baby Charter is a national accreditation programme being undertaken by most neonatal units in the UK. It aims to improve outcomes for babies born premature or sick by encouraging neonatal healthcare professionals to involve parents in the care of their baby. This is known as Family Integrated Care, or FICare.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience: 

•Strong experience of planning and delivery of services for clients, customers, service-users or beneficiaries.
•Strong understanding of supportive line management, helping direct reports to achieve their objectives, to learn and develop in their roles

Since last year, we have been gradually launching our new Excellence Network regional clinical lead roles across England as part of our new regional model in England. We're now recruiting for the final regional clinical lead in England to lead their regional network in London.

In September 2024, the Parkinson’s UK Excellence Network (PEN) moved to a new regional model in England and introduced the 7 newly-formed PEN regions in England, with the boundaries aligned to the 7 NHS England regions. Click here to read more about the new model.

The regional model in the devolved nations remains the same: there are 3 regions in Scotland, 2 in Wales and 1 region in Northern Ireland.

Last year we began gradually recruiting the consultancy services of regional clinical leads in each of the 7 regions in England, to help us deliver this new model.

By the end of 2024, we were delighted to have appointed 4 regional clinical leads. We welcomed Antonella Macerollo and Sarah Fraser in the north west and north east and Yorkshire, respectively. You can find out more about Antonella and Sarah here.

So far in 2025, Alistair Mackett and Emily Henderson joined us in January as the regional clinical leads for the east of England and south west. Read more about Alistair and Emily here.

We are now recruiting for the final regional clinical lead vacancy in England to lead their regional network in London.

Who can apply?

Any UK-based healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with an interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills is welcome to apply. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged.

You’ll have a good understanding of the landscape of health and care delivery, education and workforce development to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.

Time commitment: 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.

Remuneration: monthly rate based on skills and experience.

Term of consultancy services: 3 years from date of appointment, with an option to extend for a further 3 years. You can then re-apply for the role if you wish.
